    I'm a happy owner of a Dorsoduro 900 and I totally understand your pros & cons.
    What a fantastic motorcycle, misunderstood by so many.

    I love the Dorsoduro......driving "her" as a naked ,with a very little bit of decided smoothness and anticipation, can let you go veeeeery fast in turns....... :)
    Thanks as always MotoGeo and Jamie

    Rode a lot in enduro an chose the DD for my first road bike. Bough the same as the one in the video. Love it, done a bit of touring (2000miles trip) with no highway. I can say I made some spirited driving. Two things, it eat it's tire as the same rate as a tuono and the tank is really small and take a lot of gas(7.7l/100km advertised). For the wind well it's a naked bike! I love it like said, great bike very versatile!

    im picking up a 2020 in a couple of days. this is the last year for the doro and shiver unfortunately. great vid, i'm 5 hours from the dragon. i will test it hard.

    Just got one last month. Love it. Tank size not an issue for me as not using mine for long touring sessions. For 2 hours riding, range is good enough. Weight I don't feel as I dont offroad much with it more than dirt and gravel roads. Dont see the weight impacting anything, has ample power and I own a Tuono and Rocket 3. Worthy upgrade, apart from exhaust, is tyres (pirelli MT60RS I put) as stock dunlop are mid range spec tyres. Pirelli Angel GT 2 also a very good choice if you dont go offroad at all. A quickshifter from factory would have been nice, although there are after market products.

      How has the reliability been on the Dorsoduro, wanting one but heard some bad things about reliability

    • @brians2873

      @@neilh8707 It’s been great so far. I only have 1750 on the odometer due to this crazy year. As a tall rider (6’3”) it is amazing. I put Roadsitalia Power Titanium Black pipes on and it sounds incredible (my ‘19 Hypermotard SP owning brother is super envious of the exhaust note). Also put on Facduc O2 emulator and eliminated 90% of the low speed jumpiness. Hope this helps. Any other info needed, feel free to ask.

      @@brians2873 thanks, I do appreciate the feedback. I'm looking at buying a brand new one as love them and have done for ages. My worry is that I live over an hour from the dealer so any issues will be a pain, currently own a Honda.
      Without the emulator how does it ride at low speed, is it bad?

    • @brians2873
      @brians2873 3 роки тому

      @@neilh8707 My bike is an ‘18 model. The surge is extremely noticeable, enough to make me feel like a bobble head. The ‘19 model I test rode didn’t seem as bad. Mine usually hit between 20-30mph in 2nd and 3rd gear. The emulator is adjustable, but I haven’t been able to ride enough to make any adjustments. I’m still getting used to this bike as well. Coming off of an ‘18 Indian Chieftain is a big transition.

      @@neilh8707 I currently have a 750 and its been good i have over 20k hard miles its seen trackdays and alot of mountin rd miles still kicking. Still has good compression and oil pressure. Had some of the squeez clamps get weak on some of the coolant hoses, a sticky rear caliper but other than that it's been rock solid. It’s a bummer these along with the shiver, are so darn heavy. All the weight is up top too, makes things even worse. Low tank range to cap things off. :(

    • @Ozmeister666
      @Ozmeister666 4 роки тому +2

      Dry weight of 186 isn't heavy at all for a street bike though? And it will get even lighter once you do a tail tidy and a slip-on exhaust. It's not a supermoto, it's a naked bike with supermoto looks.

    • @ABH313

      Totally agree with you, I have a 2013 DD 750 and it's a slow heavy pig of a bike. Thing weighs 480+ lbs and makes like 100hp if it's lucky. Tops out at 130 mph, it's not ergonomic, and has no wind protection for the highway...so yeah it's basically only good for a twisty road but like I said, the weight means it's not very flickable. My KTM Supermoto was literally twice as fun. Plan on selling the DD as soon as this lockdown is over...

    I've never had any respect for Aprilia's L-twin engines. They've always been too soft, too underpowered for displacement, fitted into bikes that are too heavy. Never what I would call a serious powerhouse, relative to a Ducati from the same displacement.
