Nice set up are you guys using p&k for fertilizer or a blend of np&k??? So as in micro nutrients would u broadcast them to prevent hot spots from being in furrow?. Thanks
A lot going on with our starter program. 6 24 6 liquid goes in furrow. Then in a 2 by 2 dry NPKS. Because of the placement of each product there are no hot spots to worry about. Our N plus K is way less than the 70# safe zone.
@@Johndeererobert Yes, to extend the range from 90ac to 100ac the last 10 when I run our of liquid i bump the dry rate to 240lbs/ac to completely empty the planter. The standard flow meters like this planter has are maxed at about 400lbs/ac at 5mph. I'm not sure i'd want to run at that level but it can do it. I only sell high flow units now with the bigger hoses. They can run very high rates at high speed like in strip tillage.

Nice equipment. Are you using dry fert 2x2 and a liquid product in furrow as well?
Yes. The liquid is really only there to make the range of the planter increase.
Real nice rig !
Thanks Ron. Was one of our first custom modified pieces of equipment. Works really well for us!
How many pounds per acre of dry fertilizer you putting down?
165lb/ac. 5gal in furrow liquid.
Can you put 200lb/ac?
