If I Never Knew You is so underrated! The song that gives the relationship between our two star-crossed lovers the punch of depth that it needed! I love this one!
One of the disneys best track. When played with Hellfire, it’s dramatic and emotional on two extremes! Very mature themes of humanity’s dark side of control with shame and at the same time the yearning to live life free of persecution and judgement with hope.
The opening of Oliver and Company shreds my heart. My beloved calico came to me as a stray. She wasn’t feral and she had obviously been treated well, but thinking of her as a little kitten who might not have had anyone… 😢😢💔
"Where do I go from here" from Pocahontas 2, has always been one of my favourite songs from Disney. I think it's criminal how underrated Pocahontas 1 and 2 are.
I LOVE Pocahontas....that and Tarzan are my favorite Disney movies. But I was not a fan of Pocahontas 2.....we had most, if not all, of the straight to video sequels and as a kid I just wasn't a fan of it....
Ever since I was 3 Years Old, you have No Idea How Much I LOVE This Song! For Treasure Planet being one of my favorite Disney movies in the Post Renaissance Era of the 2000’s, that’s when I fell in love with Rock N Roll. Thank you, Disney
Touch the Sky is such an amazing song-so uplifting! And it's criminal how underrated it is-if I need cheering up or reminding how beautiful life can be, it's my go to!
He lives in you was supposed to be in the first lion king but it was cut for time. However since it was already written it was used for the broadway show and the opening of lion king 2
I have some others that deserve honorable mentions: - Time of Your Life (A Bug's Life) - Strange Things (Toy Story) - If I Didn't Have You (Monsters Inc) - Our Town (Cars) - We Belong Together (Toy Story 3) - When Will My Life Begin (Tangled) - When Can I See You Again (Wreck It Ralph)
If I Never Knew You should have been in the movie. I know it was dropped due to test screenings, but it would have blended in really well with the rest of the film
For my wedding, my husband and I did our last dance to “So this is Love” by Cinderella. This was always a childhood dream of mine to dance with the love of my life to this song on our wedding day. We made it happen and we both cried tears of joy when it played, such an underrated song that we will never forget! ❤
I’ve come to realize recently that my favorite animated Disney movies are the ones set in modern days. 101 Dalmatians, The Rescuers, Wreck It Ralph. I like them not only for the story and the worlds but also because they feel like a time capsule for the time. With Rescuers, particularly, the song Tomorrow Is Another Day has grown to become my favorite Disney song because of how of the time and overall hopeful of a tune it is.
It was cut from the movie but played over the end credits. It was added back in for the stage version (same story as Proud of Your Boy from Aladdin actually)
This is a great list. The only other one that immediately comes to mind is "Lost in the Woods" from Frozen 2. It's genius - based on hair band ballads, it's super underrated.
I've always had a soft spot for "Oliver and Company", it deserves to be more well known, and if you're a Billy Joel song, you'll get a kick out of "Why Should I Worry?"
Out there is my belt it song . If I never knew you blew me an away as a kid and still does. The Cheetah Girls has a cover of So this is love and it is a bop. ❤
Every song from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is golden, and yes, that includes A Guy Like You. Out There instantly uplifts despite Frollo dragging Quasimodo down with his cruelty. Hellfire is the greatest villain song ever, with its conflicting views and powerful orchestral score
Finally!!! "Someday" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is getting some recognition! This song is horribly underrated. Also, Jon Secada and Shanice killed "If I Never Knew You". They should've been mentioned. 😢
Right?! I was beginning to think I was the only person who loved Someday because it is never mentioned on any of these lists. And, I absolutely loved Shanice and Jon Secada back in the day. Their version of that song is amazing.
It’s nice to see the underrated Treasure Planet get some love! I would also add… Fathoms Below- The Little Mermaid Little Wonders- Meet the Robinsons Someone’s Waiting For You and Tomorrow Is Another Day- The Rescuers Sing Sweet Nightingale- Cinderella Your Mother and Mine- Peter Pan Why Don’t You Do Right- Who Framed Roger Rabbit
For anyone who likes “Someday” from Hunchback; there was an off-broadway musical production that included the song. I recommend listening to the original cast soundtrack. Also the musical is much darker than the movie since the plot is based on the original novel instead of the toned down film.
There should be an entire list on best End Credit/Closing Disney Songs, because there are some serious bangers that don't ever get mentioned amongst the Disney Song greats. "Little Wonders," from Meet the Robinsons, "When Can I See You Again?" from Wreck-It Ralph, "Immortals," from Big Hero 6, "Something That I Want," from Tangled, and "Zero," from Ralph Breaks the Internet are all super underrated because they only really get featured in their respective films' credits.
Wow, someone finally acknowledges Someday. I don’t remember anything about that movie, but I always loved that song. I was beginning to think I was the only person who knew it because it is never, ever mentioned on any of these lists.
Hunchback is underrated as a whole! Bit disappointed Once Upon a Time in New York City wasn't in there. That's one of my favourite Disney songs of all time
Underrated Disney Songs I’ll try - Peter Pan 2 Try Everything- Zootopia So Close- Enchanted Listen with your heart- Pocahontas No Way out- Brother bear When she loved me- Toy Story 2 Looking through your eyes- Quest for Camelot We are- Ice Age Surface pressure- Encanto Lead the way- Raya and the last Dragon Look through my eyes- Brother Bear I am Moana ( Ancestors song)- Moana
Tarzan, Mulan, Hunchback of Notre Dame Treasure Planet and Pocahontas are my favorite Disney albums! They speak to me in terms of themes and also catchy music.
Guessing you’re not going to mention this but my number one favorite is Let Me Be Good to You from The Great Mouse Detective. I find it jazzy and classy and a little bit sexy. I just think it’s a good tune and I love the lyrics. EveryTime I hear it in my head, I can see myself singing this song on stage
Great choice’s for this top 30 list and even though the songs featured in this list were underrated in their day they are still just as memorable today 👍❤️
I was little bent out of shape for a minute. I always forget that Anastasia isn't a Disney film. At the Beginning is a tremendous song and I was like, wtf? Why is this song not number o... oooh. That's right. Carry on.
I’d add “That’s What Makes the World Go ‘Round” from The Sword in the Stone (it’s fun, and not many other songs have the word “mediocrity” in it) and “That’s What Friends Are For” from “The Jungle Book” (it’s almost entirely a cappella, which is impressive).
So underrated, it can't even get a mention on an underrated list, "Little Wonders," by Rob Thomas from Meet the Robinsons is such a great underrated song from a totally underappreciated film.
Only songs I would add are “Uncharted Waters” from the live action Little Mermaid, and “Love Will Find a Way” from The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride. The latter is one of the best love songs ever from a Disney movie
Oh my gosh!!!! Human Again! That is like tied with Be Our Guest as my favorite Beauty and the Beast songs and both of them are two of my favorite Disney songs ever. Human Again makes me so happy and want to just dance my heart out. It’s so epic and fun!
I love all these. I have a special place for Almost There because my hubby had proposed not long before Princess and the Frog came out and I had almost thought he never would so all through the yr engagement and wedding planning I had a hard time getting that song out of my head🥰
I had a copy of the Pocahontas film, on VHS, when it was released that had that song in it. Unfortunately, the film itself was damaged. (Got it from Toys 'R Us when it came out.) When I returned it because of the rippling on the film, the version I got to replace it didn't have it. I thought for the longest time I was insane, cause it wasn't in the replacement. Then I got the DVD when it came out and the song was back! I don't know why my VHS had it, if it was removed, but that's something I don't think I'll ever know.

If I Never Knew You is so underrated! The song that gives the relationship between our two star-crossed lovers the punch of depth that it needed! I love this one!
My thoughts exactly, & the version by Jon Secada & Shanice is one of my fave Disney songs ever
I always had Jon Secada and Shanice’s radio version of this so when I heard the actual animated theme version - beautiful!
@@upfrontbear74 🤩
Judy Kuhn has a great voice. Mel Gibson has a great agent.
Put it back in the movie, Disney!
I honestly think the ENTIRE soundtrack from Hercules is so under appreciated.
Zero to Hero is a top 3 Disney song and my personal favorite is Go the Distance
Yesssssds
So much this...A Star Is Born is one of the best closing songs ever
@@nathanfox6388 That's in my "I can DO this!" playlist.
Son of man from Tarzan is actually a masterpiece, my favorite song of this movie
Mine too!
Yesss
I was confused that it's considered underrated. It wasn't one of the most popular songs in the movie?
Same here
AMEN
**Starts crying when she sees "Out There" as #1**
Mojo - "Do you agree with our picks?"
Me - "YES, YES I DO!"
❤❤❤
Man….the ending of Out There gives me chills. The way his voice starts getting far away but you can still hear it’s power and beauty…Gah I love it
The entire Lion King 2 sound track is vastly underrated.
Yes!
this! fully agreed
We Are One, Love will Find a Way, My Lullaby and Upendi all could’ve easily made this list as well
They included the songs in the Broadway play which is why I recognized them when I rewatched Lion king 2 years ago
Yes indeed
Hunchback of Notre Dame is just criminally underrated altogether!
I agree.
I agree! God Bless the Outcasts is one of the most stirring Disney songs ever.
Seriously.
AMEN
Out There has to be the most underrated Disney song ever. The guy who sings it has a great voice
Tom Hulce
One of the disneys best track. When played with Hellfire, it’s dramatic and emotional on two extremes! Very mature themes of humanity’s dark side of control with shame and at the same time the yearning to live life free of persecution and judgement with hope.
@@tricksterfoxxI see clips of this guy singing this song - what a voice!
@@tricksterfoxx thank you. Never knew his name
Tom Hulce, the voice of Quasimodo.

a cat lover like me
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Damn you Huey Lewis!
@@ultimateneek530 Oh, you are far from the only one.
The opening is why I can't watch it again. Poor baby Oliver being the only one left & then rain wrecks the box....😭
Robin Hood is an underrated Disney movie. I’m a Gen Xer and have a fond memory of that movie.
I'm actually kinda surprised The Hunchback of Notre Dame's "Out There" is #1! Literally listened to this song yesterday randomly LOL
We are finally acknowledging that "Streets Of Gold is a JAM!
Baby Mine from Dumbo is a song that rarely gets the love it deserves.
I'm Still Here us SUCH a fantastic song! 😫
Yes, you did! "Not in Nottingham" is so close to my heart!
Between Two Worlds deserves a mention too.
So great to see "He's a Tramp" here. :) That number started my love for Peggy Lee and the classic songs from the 1940s and '50s.
Son of Man is one of my all time favorite Disney songs
Simba’s Pride’s soundtrack is 🔥 also SON OF MAN, finally! thanks for including it, it’s the best one from Tarzan IMO and soooo underrated 😢
After watching this video, I think a Disney marathon is in order!
He lives in you was supposed to be in the first lion king but it was cut for time. However since it was already written it was used for the broadway show and the opening of lion king 2
I'm glad "I'm still here" made the top 10. That makes me happy 😌

Treasure Planet was so underrated!!!! My boys loved this movie so much. Also the entire soundtrack for Tarzan was epic!
I freaking LOVE If I Never Knew You. Touches my heart every time. Definitely one of my favorite Disney duets
If I Never Knew You should have been in the movie. I know it was dropped due to test screenings, but it would have blended in really well with the rest of the film
I remember it playing during the end credits which is why I recognize it
"Shiny" is one of my favs. As a Kid, I2I was definitly my favorite
For my wedding, my husband and I did our last dance to “So this is Love” by Cinderella. This was always a childhood dream of mine to dance with the love of my life to this song on our wedding day. "Wherever you are" from Pooh's Grand Adventure, one of my favorite Disney songs of all time.
No Way Out from Brother Bear (particularly the album version) is fantastic!!

I can not count the number of times my friends & I have started singing "Deceeeptio! Disgraaaace" at the slightest provocation.
I love that, lol. I could see myself doing that at work
The songs from "Simba's Pride" sure had neat songs.....
My Lullaby and He is Not One of Us are both bangers
yessss
@@ThexImperfectionistWe Are One ❤
"So This is Love" will always be a favorite.
Someday from the Hunchback of Notre Dame comes to mind. Also like Celtic Woman’s rendition of the song too.
Wait that’s a Notre Dame song?! I only remember the Celtic Woman version, which I was obsessed with as a kid lol
@@ReganSkye2010 It was in the movie.
@@ReganSkye2010
All 4 One sang the end credit version for it. But I don't think the movie version made it.
look up ciara renee singing it. she played esmeralda in the staged version. i saw it live and its still one of my favorite musicals.
It was cut from the movie but played over the end credits. It was added back in for the stage version (same story as Proud of Your Boy from Aladdin actually)
Two INCREDIBLY UNDERRATED songs that I choose are "On My Way" and "Welcome to Our Family Time", BOTH from Brother Bear.
When I was a kid I loved the song of the bottle in The Rescuers.
The song "Evermore" from 2017 Beauty and the Beast.
My favorite song from that remake!
*tarzan made me a fan of Phil collins. Love son of man. Also love almost there from princess and the frog. The underrated songs are the best.*
"Someday" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is my all time favorite Disney song!
I would also add So Close from Enchanted (the song being sung during the ballroom dance scene towards the end). It's such beautiful, sad song.
This is a great list. The only other one that immediately comes to mind is "Lost in the Woods" from Frozen 2. It's genius - based on hair band ballads, it's super underrated.
"Out There" is one of my absolute favorite Disney songs of all time 💖💖💖💖💖

Your Mother and Mine- Peter Pan
Why Don’t You Do Right- Who Framed Roger Rabbit
For anyone who likes “Someday” from Hunchback; there was an off-broadway musical production that included the song.

He Lives In You did NOT debut in the stage musical. It debuted in the Rhythm of the Pride Lands album.
Thank you I was going to say the same thing. I still have that CD.
I find it almost criminal that none of the songs from “Dumbo” are even mentioned here.
Baby Mine still makes me cry everytime
Oh? Did you want that pink drunk elephant number in this?
Your mother and mine from Peter Pan is underrated in my opinion
I think If I Never Knew You is a Very Beautiful Song from Pocahontas
