I was shocked that they didn't prepare for the house attack. Jailer and Leo showed smarter preparation.

You are just nitpicking. There is no issue with the movie except the BGM, which at time feels overpowering and out-of-place. I like the screenplay, cinematography, direction and acting all-in-all. It has violence, sells violence, brings violence, no nonsense. Not inspired by JOhn wick, but Kill Bill, Rambo Last blood etc. Also Bheeshma Parvam is inspired by Mahabharat not Godfather, depicts the tension between Kauravas and Pandavas, with the elderly Bheeshma in Between. In Malayalam everything is retold and every community takes part unlike the Tollywood or Bollywood which creates mass cinemas depicting one religious fervour.
