I think Ford seeing Raz as a Pyschonaut while in his layer, even before officially making him one was also really sweet. Its really telling for Ford's character.
I mean, ordinarily at this point in the game you wouldn't have clairvoyance, so foreshadowing is a bit strong. But it's interesting they even included it, since there's really no time in the game where you could use it.
I think it's more like she sees him as the big scary monster. after all she is more afraid of Raz then he is of her. And this is before Raz has helped her so it would make sense she views humans as monsters after what Dr Loboto and Couch Oliander did to her.

I can not believe how many characters you can use clairvoyance on, some are deep foreshadowing (being seen as oleanders father by the bunny's in his mind) and others are just so funny (being seen as a bell boy by the emotional baggage). The attention to detail in this game is insane.
I find it interesting how many impossible characters/animals/whatever still have clairvoyance images despite you not having it when you encounter them. It's interesting how you can even use it on Kochamara and such because it's a boss fight and yet they still give him Oleander's.
I know this is an old comment sorry but the best thing about that is he sees you as 2 stars at first, but while talking to him he says something like "minus half a star!" and then it actually changes to 1 and a half stars. The details in this game are incredible

This must have been a real piece of work, to get to all these characters and using clairvoyance just long enough to record their impression :) It's a wonderful tribute to the amount of work and attention to detail Double Fine put into this game.

For anyone wondering what the Pink square means: A pink texture indicates in many game engines that there is a zexture missing, so they probably forgot to assing a texture to that kids view of Raz.
I find it interesting that nobody sees Raz as just, Raz. Everyone either sees him as what he could do for them (sailor guy), some weird or mutilated version of himself (most of the kids), something they’re scared of (most of the small animals), something they crave (most of the bigger animals), or something they’re previously focused on (leaf raker).

The campers only appear in Mila's mind when you are getting the levitation merit badge, and that they have unique animations specific to the level, they may have used a separate model without adding in the clairvoyance asset for them since you wouldn't have gotten that ability yet. The pink square must be a placeholder.

Boyd seeing you as an unidentifiable mystery sort of reflects how he just met Raz and doesn’t know what to think of him, like he is trying to find out what cult or secret organization he is with but can’t figure it out yet.
that's not the reason. The jobs are not disguises, those are the personalities that take him over when he's too far from the psitanium motherlode. So he really can't see Raz as any more than that. But when he is sane, in his cave, he sees him for the true potential he has.
And Napoleon outside of the game, the camp's birds, the oysters (in the Linda boss area) and the Nightmares (boss and in Milla's minds, both are differents)
People are giving specific examples of particularly funny or foreshadowing ones, but conceptually some of my favorite(s) are the ones where it's basically just raz but with some aspects of the person you're viewing from, especially those that are exaggerated. It's actually a subtle indication of empathy: Literally seeing things about yourself in others.

While using clairvoyance, you mean? IIRC attacking while using clairvoyance takes you out of clairvoyance mode. You could use clairvoyance for _most_ of each fight, just not for the entire fight.
Phoebe seeing you as firewood is unexpectedly threatening. Same with Mr. Pokeylope seeing you as cake and the kids in dog costumes seeing you as a fire hydrant.

I wanted to use this more but honestly the designs and the way its presented was always so scary and off putting to me. Kind of how I feel about the whole game tbh. It's a fantastic game but so many of the designs and settings are kinda scary to me so might be some time before I go back to it lol

I read somewhere that it's because she relies on hearing the sound of Raz's footsteps to know when to turn invisible.
i only recently played psychonauts 1 but in the asylum i saw the coulds were just human faces in different emotions. i dunno how obvious it is
