Samsung too! Even with their other folding phones that they make. Then it will be cool to have one and Apple and Samsung will get all the praises for it, just like everything else LG has done before them. And now companies are going cheaper with flagship phones starting with LG and Apple while others are increasing prices.
Had it since it came out. Still it's a beast in end of 2023. Pretty sure if there is a software update it will perform better even in 2024. The phone was ahead of time in 2020.
I'm an early adapter, tech-geek. Its 2024 and I just ordered my 3rd LG V60. Its that good and that ahead of its time. It's like someone in the comments here mentioned a few years ago, every now and then you discover something that this phone can do, that no other phone can do until today. Hands down best phone I ever used, and I have used pretty much all flagships from all brands and all form factors. I'm still not over the fact that LG is no longer in the phone game. My 2 cents.

Very little amount of reviews get to show the characteristics so smoothly and interesting as you have done, I loved that you showed many circumstances to use the Dual Screen, I could even imagine myself using it in many ways! Now I just need the money :(
I have the LG G8X, which is the slightly smaller version of this and it's pretty cool. I like that it's 2 screens when I want it and a regular phone the rest of the time.

This is hands down the best review you've ever put out. Well researched, properly informative, and visually appealing. I really wish I could buy this phone. It suits so many of my needs to a 't'. Well done, Gadget Match. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing in depth review. I really appreciate you going into possible use cases for the dual screen, as well as the audio recording capabilities (ambient, voice bokeh) as most reviewers are simply listing off specs listing any deficiencies against other flagship. LG is one of the last companies actively trying to differentiate itself (second screen, quad DAC 3.5mm jack, night mode with wide angle camera, 5000 mah battery, good price). Subbed!
Amazing review. Btw those cons are actually a plus in my eyes: flat display - always prefered it, 60Hz refresh rate - much better for battery life. The UI - I don't care, I use Nova Launcher on all my phones. It seems I finally found my next phone as the HiFi audio is a must for me.
Yeah people don't really think in terms of the implications of a particular "pro" or "con". Another pro of of the low specs for example, it will run a bit cooler since the battery and internals don't have to maintain as much.
The only downside is that other launchers are not supported by the Dual Screen accessory. So the main phone will have your chosen Launcher, and the Dual Screen will have the default one. I just remove the icons on the Dual Screen so it wont look weird.
What a review! Amazing. Many other reviewers need to take notice. This is some ultra professional work. Very indept. Only thing it lacked is video samples. Rest everything is top notch.
The quad DAC is why I'm interested I want that amazing audio quality when listening with headphones and this phone is the best for that everybody is saying. Also being able to have two screens is pretty cool.
Can you tell me about the texting experience? Is the keyboard larger than average? I have giant fingers and I'm looking for a phone with a keyboard to accommodate
Same! I got mine a bit in April. I have Verizon so I didn't get the duel screen with it, but I did the LG free case offer and got it around early May. It's so great!
Thank you so much for making this review! It was very well done in every aspect. The quality of the content made the length bearable, didn't mind it at all. Now, THIS is a REVIEW! EXCELLENT job! This is the best review on the V60 I have seen - and, I've seen way too many. Thank you! You just cemented my future purchases decision.
@@tylerramsey9502 I absolutely love it! The camera is GREAT, the sound is awesome, the screen is beautiful, it performs smoothly and quickly, the battery lasts a very long time, and I don't miss neither the zoom lens nor the 1440p screen of my previous V40, because the 64mp camera lens of the V60 provides better zoom shots than the V40's telephoto lens and its screen is SO nice, bright, colorful and well-calobrated that you don't notice any drop in resolution. The lack of a high refresh rate is a non-issue for me and you won't miss it, either, because the actual phone performs smoothly and quickly. It's definitely the most underrated phone of the year. And, now, that you can get it so much cheaper than before, it's a no-brainer type of deal/decision. 👍🏽
You always do a good job. This is probably your most detailed review yet. The sd card, internet free fm radio is huge to me, as is the headphone jack, which severly limits my choices today among flagship. I truly miss the ir blaster though, that needs to make a comeback as well as removable batteries. 8K should be fun too. This phone seems to give you more options then anyone.
I agree! Lol, I was thinking the same thing too. Juan is my go-to-reviewer for audiophile & LG related reviews but, this LG V60 review even surpasses Juan's review of it.
I just made that same comment. Loved the rear fingerprint button. They could've had both, to use either. I know sometimes I won't need the second screen. Options are the key to a good phone for me.
The V60 is not the same phone as it was when it first came out. The MANY software updates have transformed the phone from good but quirky to absolutely GREAT. Comprehensive usability and feature updates from LG along with OS updates from Android have remarkably improved the V60. Some things that come to mind ( I didn't keep a list of improvements, as the updates rolled out) are new camera features, easier/smoother dual screen usage, more display color management options, overall OS intuition/usability. I was really blown away at the all improvements as the phone aged. I have been using my V60 since summer 2020, with and without the dual screen. Weak points: 1 USB port -they all seem to fail mine lasted almost 2 years, it has some issues but still works. It is repairable. Try to use wireless charging or, keep it in the dual case (charge it with the magnetic adapter) to avoid stressing the USB connector. 2 Cannot simultaneously play to 2 bluetooth sperate speakers (bluetooth 5 is not available for the V60 *yet?*). 3 Subjectively thick bezels -but at this price/performance the bezel is acceptable. 4 Dual screen hinge: while decent do avoid tweaking it by sitting down with the DS case in your cargo pocket, my hinge got loose after tweaking it this way. Strong points that most people may not know about: 1 Stereo Bluetooth earbuds work fine, and the range is EXCELLENT. Multiple Bluetooth audio destinations(Bluetooth speakers) can be selected/switched "on the fly" using the pull down shade. This is a very cool feature, though other android phones probably have it as well. 2 Built in EQ for audio out to hardline (wired earbuds/feeding the aux input on your car stereo) AND ALSO for the Bluetooth destinations...this is great if you are using less than perfect Bluetooth earbuds and want to fine tune the sound with the BUILT IN eq!! 3 Massive battery, and GREAT power management (battery extender) software. 4 Use a small folding bluetooth keyboard (with trackpad) with the dual screen case and you have a VERY portable laptop replacement, good enough for text based work email etc. 5 The cumulative updates have nullified many of the original review's cited shortcomings of the V60. 6 Slo mo HD video recording. 7 Extremely good built in mics. 8 Updates improved the image stabilization for video recording. 9 Excellent matching of the dual screen display to the phone display regarding consistency of color, brightness, black levels. 10 Price: New at Costco through Tmobile was this deal which I got: BOGO offer=2 phones for $1000 with 2 DS cases and a $500 rebate in the form of a prepaid debit card. I wish LG stayed in the phone business!!
Now that is how you do a review. First and foremost, I love how you brought in other reviewers for their points from their video reviews. You, like them, answer the main question that every reviewer should ask. "who is this phone for?" You, like the others in your video answer that question perfectly in your videos. Not many take the high road and do that, many do the opposite and try to influence the viewer due to hits, what sells, etc. Kudos and Thank you for that. As for the review itself, I agree with so many points.
Screen wise, curved screens look really nice and futuristic, but a flat screen and a little bit of bezel is way better, at least for my needs. Granted, I was one of the first to love the curved screen from the Note Edge and beyond, but that feeling faded quickly. I see faster refresh rates and higher resolution screens ways to kill the battery. I would agree that they are really gimmicks. For the average person, most wouldn't care or probably not even notice. With the camera, I used to think that any camera shot on auto from my Note 10+ and OnePlus Mclaren were good, but I was shocked that they pale in comparison against the V60 auto mode and even less on manual mode. Audio wise, I truly did not appreciate how much I missed using real headphones until the V60 and with that DAC. Wow. And the kicker for me was when it was discovered that the V60 had pen support. I bought the pen and it placed the V60 as my daily driver over the Note10+. Being able to use the pen on both screens was a dream come true. So for me, the V60 is my gadget match, for others, maybe not so much. but it's the most underrated device of 2020 so far.
6.8" screen, SD card slot, real stylus support, wide angle camera, DAC audio, 2 day battery, 5g etc. I'm GLAD LG is not following the trends!!!! A+ review! Subscribed. Thanks!

This review was so helpful. I love the quad dac when listening to music. I was also considering getting an iPad pro solely for the apple pencil. The Samsung & iPhones get all the love but this phone will make you cheat in a heartbeat. It comes down to needs & preference. 2 cents. Peace
Just got one and when it go to my camera gallery in Facebook the pics won't come up... Can't figure out why.
Thank you, i really appreciate this post!
sir, does this beast have any RGB Notification LED Lights ? I'm thinking of upgrading my 'ol V50 into this..
I could definitely see apple “inventing” a dual screen case in the next 5 years
Samsung too!
Even with their other folding phones that they make. Then it will be cool to have one and Apple and Samsung will get all the praises for it, just like everything else LG has done before them.
And now companies are going cheaper with flagship phones starting with LG and Apple while others are increasing prices.
Apple will still take their sweet ass slow time 🤦🏻♂️
@@twany442 lg wasn't the first one to use dual screen
And they'll give you the honor of paying $3k for it.

The most comprehensive and unbiased review so far for this underated phone. Nice works
This is the best and most in depth phone review I have ever seen. Watched the whole video thank you.
Had it since it came out. Still it's a beast in end of 2023. Pretty sure if there is a software update it will perform better even in 2024. The phone was ahead of time in 2020.
The voice bokeh mode is the bomb. Awesome!!
People would be drooling over LG's new V60 Audio implementations if they were on an iPhone.
It's almost like having a lapel mic on you.
That Voice Bokeh feature should be on every smartphone. Very nice LG. Great review.
THE AUDIO FEATURES AMAZED ME!
My 2 cents.
I'm not surprised you hit 500k followers, top notch professional review. This video helped me decide and now I have one ordered and headed my way!
Great Phone💯🥂👋👌😘💋
Gaddangit. Now I want an LG V60 with that foldable screen cover. This review is a realization. Like also having a Nintedo DS or PSP Go. Also like having a mini AIO Laptop. Nice work GadgetMatch.
Their poor marketing is responsible for their current state.
And its only available online 😒
Their bad software, inconsistent updates, and questionable QC are responsible.
they need tyom hire a steve jobs type of speaker american ceo and guarentee 3 os updates and continue improving their computational auto video and photo software, they are top at manual already.
put customers first keep the headphone jsack and quaddac sd card.
keep the quality up, and just 2 flagships a year v series and velvet.
Its about software now, they need something like stock plus LG's app, all phones are way too powerful so its software.
they need a true dex competitor and a laptop and desktop accesory so that your phone is your laptop and desktop.
tb3 or usb4 instead of usbc and 2 of them/gpu acceleration, 4K, fast ssd's
Your own gimbal and clip on lenses, 4k120 6k 30, with pc/mac software for editing included as a download.
A garageband multitrack recorder free app.
@@tfret718 I only agree with your software comment. Although I've noticed they're getting a bit better than years past. 2 years with my g7 only looking to upgrade because of the spiderman effects on it. And 2 years old for a phone
Not only a lot of lg phones especially V series have defective partids this is the truth
this is the longest review i've ever watched and every minute of it is worth it. much love from the Philippines Josh stay safe bro 😁😀
Yes, he is 💯

I own this phone. As a consumer I dont notice 60hz and lower resolution screen. I dont need a higher res screen or 120hz. Unless you want the best of the best or are a tech reviewer you wont notice much. Why? Because you dont really need it with this phone. I chose this phone over the s20 and iphone 11. The audio is amazing camera is really good. Dual screen is a plus. One underrated phone
Do you still like it to date? Any problems?
@@Cinderbellieeeee yes so far its been a really good such and underrated phone. Its fast, great camera, no issues With it. Id buy it again if i could. Now i use jabra 75ts and sound Amazing i like the built in amp on this phone.
@@aggiebear4128 thank you for your response!! I'm in the market for a phone as my galaxy s7 is starting to give up on me. So far this LG is impressing me, and yes! You're absolutely right. I can't fathom how people buy into pricier phones! But i suppose if you got it, flaunt it haha. This phone is more in line with my means. I appreciate your response!
@@aggiebear4128 I'm also genuinely considering this phone as well. I am almost to 3 years on my Pixel 2. I'm stuck in-between 4 phones currently. This one, The Pixel 5, S20 FE, and the LG Velvet.
@@Only1Sethy I had the choice between the pixel 4, galaxy s20, one plus 8, iphone 11 pro and the v60. The pixel was my top choice to be honest. The s20 was not what I expected it was not impressive other than the screen. The iphone 11 was ok i hate apple software. The camera was as good as the v60. I tried the v60 and I loved it, the sound and battery life was what got me camera is just as good I use manual mode and it's top notch. Only cons about the v60 it's a heavy and big phone you you can't use it single handed. The dual screen is plus

I really wish I could buy this phone. It suits so many of my needs to a 't'. Well done, Gadget Match. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's about $270 on Amazon now lol
Okay I'm really impressed by the audio recording features!
I was looking at buying this phone this video finalized my decision. Great video!!!!
How do you like it so far?
I definitely watched the entire video and it was worth every second. Thanks for being so thorough.
THAT VOICE BOKEH MODE!! Now that's what I call a game-changer!
Always nice to see collabs between TechTubers! Whilst lengthy, an in-depth review is always appreciated. Review well done. 👌
Subbed!
I bought the V60 because of your review. I'm absolutely satisfied with this device. Thank you for your honest review and input on LG V60
Ditto, re Nova Launcher!! Tks for your comment.
Made the move to Lawnchair a year ago, haven't looked back since. I recommend it over Nova!
@@SoloTheCashier phone going well for you so far?
What a review! Amazing. Many other reviewers need to take notice. This is some ultra professional work. Very indept. Only thing it lacked is video samples. Rest everything is top notch.
THE AUDIO IS SO GOOD!!! thinking of is phone instead of an iphone 11
That would be my motivation as well , but I am still into IOS rather than Android.
Did you get it? Because I am also debating if to get this phone or iPhone 11
Me too...
Trying to decide if I'd want this or the iPhone 11 max or iPhone 11 max pro or whatever it's called.
The quad DAC is why I'm interested I want that amazing audio quality when listening with headphones and this phone is the best for that everybody is saying. Also being able to have two screens is pretty cool.
I have been using the v60 since the begining of april and i love it !
is camera is good..video?
Can you tell me about the texting experience? Is the keyboard larger than average? I have giant fingers and I'm looking for a phone with a keyboard to accommodate
simon laprise how it is ???
Same! I got mine a bit in April. I have Verizon so I didn't get the duel screen with it, but I did the LG free case offer and got it around early May. It's so great!
It's waterproof?
Great video, after using it the V60 is an amazing device, dual screen, quad dac 3.5mm headphone jack, asmr mics and literally battery life for days.
Thank you so much for making this review! It was very well done in every aspect. The quality of the content made the length bearable, didn't mind it at all. It's a shame this phone has not received the recognition it deserves. Also, shame on the big tech tubers for not presenting this wonderful option to their audience. I still love with my LG V30+...Still useble in 2020.
Same it's one of the best ,got in 2017 and haven't felt any need to upgrade still

This is the best smartphone review I've watched so far. I'm so glad to have found this channel. So tired of bs suckup from mkbhd and unbox therapy.

Now, THIS is a REVIEW! EXCELLENT job! This is the best review on the V60 I have seen - and, I've seen way too many. Thank you! You just cemented my future purchases decision.
If you did end up getting it how is it holding up?

Because of your review, it's now more interesting to get one of this. Really good job, Michael Josh and GadgetMatch!
Q: Do you need a extra screen?
A: Yes!
This is the most useful development in smart phones I've seen in a long time, in my opinion.
What an awesome review. The most complete and detailed one I've seen yet. Even more so than JCB's and he's pretty much the LG expert.
I agree! Lol, I was thinking the same thing too. Juan is my go-to-reviewer for audiophile & LG related reviews but, this LG V60 review even surpasses Juan's review of it.
Wow your voice bokeh test was impressive and the most effective I’ve seen.
Honestly one of the best reviews I've ever seen on UA-cam period for any product. You do amazing work and really helped with my decision thank you!
I had no Idea this device existed? Here a like and sub!
I wish they still had the fingerprint reader on back. From what I hear this one isnt too reliable. The ones on earlier models were insanely good
The problem is that when you fold the cover back, it wouldnt be accessible
I just made that same comment. Loved the rear fingerprint button. They could've had both, to use either. I know sometimes I won't need the second screen. Options are the key to a good phone for me.
lg fucked up everything after the v20.. it's so annoying only being able to use your right (or left) thumb and not at the very least, both
Actually I just biught LG v60 and im very impressed with fingerprint scanner
@@aresident7745 idk bout you but ive been able to program multiple fingers into my sensor since the 35.
Michael drove home his belief in this phone right to the door😀👍🏽!! Awesome immersive review !!!
Weak points:
1 USB port -they all seem to fail mine lasted almost 2 years, it has some issues but still works.
Strong points that most people may not know about:
1 Stereo Bluetooth earbuds work fine, and the range is EXCELLENT.
This is the most comprehensive review on v60. You are right - this phone is surprisingly underrated.
Finally got mine and no regrets Life goods 😊 LG
Love the in depth review than other "famous" youtubers 👍

This review was so helpful. I love the quad dac when listening to music. I was also considering getting an iPad pro solely for the apple pencil.
