Years ago, I really wanted to travel to NYC to visit a friend and to see the sites of NYC. These last years have changed my mind, no way in hell would I visit NYC and spend my money. How sad for the normal citizens & taxpayers in the area.

I grew up in the Hudson Valley, left when I was 20. I get homesick sometimes, but the past few years I’ve been grateful I left. I love upstate NY, but the city is a mess and consistently screws things up for the rest of the state.

When I use to go to Manhattan just for a day, sometimes walking around at night. My friends asked or said "arent you worried", or "aftaid".... No if approached as Dagen said id just flip as ifa totally unhinged person. But NYC is crazier now, than 15 years ago. In the last couple of years, train down, train back before missing it. No wouldnt stay walking around in early morning. Never stood anywhere near the subway tracks, middle of platform..
