    looking at some of the boards K2 has out this year. Any reviews on the 2024 party platter?

      Sorry but no. I asked to demo one but didn't have any.

    Spot-on review James. I found the original Dart a little too thicc and gave it to my cousin. You have to think about where the guys behind Korura ride: wide-open European alpine. The Dart needs to go fast in order to get the best out of it. I find myself in the trees more often than not, went with the Bataleon Camel 2 and have enjoyed the best tre-riding of my life with it.

      @SteveThompson-li2fc Cool! How would you compare the Surfer and Camel 2 for pow trees and carving?

    I have the dart 156 classic and the 164 plus. Honestly, I love both.

      @@thegoodridesnow of course. I am 260lb with 9.5 boot size so I tend to like stiffer boards. This being said, I love the dart 156 classic and I consider it my favorite board and use it for any conditions outside of the park (which I never do). The 164 plus is way faster, floats better, but is a bit slower to turn. To be honest, it turns way better than the 164 would imply and is congruent with what the Korua guys told me over the phone. I also own the 164 pencil, and everything you said regarding these boards is true.

      @@thegoodridesnow I also don't consider myself an advanced rider, but I only ride full camber boards and I mainly ride Korua. In fact, in the past couple years, I only ride Korua.

      I have also had all my friends they the Korua, of which the range of weights is 150-250 with boot size 9-12. They all say that the dart classic is a fantastic board that is a one board quiver killer (no park). The plus has less friends on it, but everyone loves it as well, about when the condition are good. When going to a busy resort I just rode the classic as it will be good all day long.

      No Prob. Thats the Otto. You can see the review here thegoodride.com/snowboard-reviews/korua-otto-classic-2018-2024-snowboard-review/

    Hi James. which Korua would you pick oriented to carving and in some degree also for pow terrain? Similar like a Capita BSOD. Thanks!

      @thegoodridesnow  7 місяців тому

      The closest to a BSOD is the Otto. If you want to go more directional look at the Transition Finder or hit me up here if you want more in depth advice. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    I'd love to know how you go on the 164! Might save you setting back

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  7 місяців тому +1

      I don't even need to set back on the 156. The tail sinks so easy I don't need to. Check 4:30. 164 might be a bit much for me to turn on groomers but it would be fun if it was a bottomless day.

    Dart split 140 is wifeys next board I think.

    Hi James. Used to ride a Saloman Dancehaul (with Now Orion) but I found it too soft and chatter and I am in trouble to avoid some skidding while heel side turning.. So, I'm thinking about trying a Korua but I'm lost about what model should I go. Once I'm not carver proficient I would like to go to a model that helps me progressing. Need something that is accessible cos I just ride 15 or 20 days per season. What model would you recommend (I have watching all of your Korua reviews and I'm lost). Should I go to an Otto, Transition Finder, Pencil or Dart? (considering that my main issue is holding the tail in heel side carving). I'm 55 years old, 5'9" and 170pounds and ride with backfoot angle = 0º. Any advice would be really appreciated. Cheers.

      So knowing your boot size is critical to help you with sizing a board so very hard to suggest anything without knowing at least that. It would be a lot better to hit me up here if you want real help. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/
      Based on what I know the Korua Transition Finder would probably be the closest to the Dancehaul shape wise but it's much stiffer/damper. It is more directional, tapered and set back. If you are size 10 and under the 154 might be a good call.

    • @joaoteixeiradias3464
      @joaoteixeiradias3464 7 місяців тому

      Boot size is 10.5 and my Dancehaul is 152 (WW 26.4) but I'm far to be a radical carver. I found the danchaul too chatter when I tried a NS Proto FR and found it much damper and my carver performance was really better. NS are too expensive so I'm in Korua mode, but I'm afraid to have something much stiffer that Proto FR cos it can be too physical demanding. ProtoFR stiff was perfect BTW. Thanks for your fast reply.

      You might really like the Transition Finder 154 then.

    So based on changing conditions….would the Dart Classic be better? If you had to pick one.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes its better in uneven snow if you plan to ride all day. But it depends on what you are used to and what you feel is more important. If you like more pop and a fast base the Dart + is the call. It's not bad at all for an ultra light high end version of the regular. Especially if you are on the lower end of their recommended weight range.

      Cool. if you have questions in the future though at least include your Boot Size, Height and Weight. Just knowing your weight doesn't help.
