I've dealt with Jordan on a few of my visits to the store and he is a genuinely cool dude. He has great taste in music and also likes trumpet and brass. It's nice to see a young whipper-snapper into Hi-Fi. We need more young people to get into this hobby. Kev- you have great people and a great store. Keep up the good work over there. Will never quit listening to CDs, the quality is awesome, Vinyl is Awesome etc, I Also Stream and thos unit looks awesome too! All through a Pioneer SX1280, Dig that one! Also play through the JBL L100 CLASSIC 75s I bought from You!
A demonstration of sound - no matter the media viewing - would have made me research Cambridge
I collected vinyl as a kid, then 8 track/cassettes, CDs, and now back to collecting vinyl and CDs. I started streaming in the past 2 months with a smart phone and have found music I missed years ago plus finding music from new artists I haven't heard of. I was going to purchase either the Cambridge AXN/MXN 10 or opt for the CXNv2 but now I might wait and see how these new models are priced here in Canada.
Love Cambridge products but I do not quite understand why it does not support Amazon Music HD natively ?

How would this compare in sound to the Cambridge Azure 851N which I own? The 851N is good but I prefer a little more brightness in the upper frequencies. Does the CXN100 sound a little brighter and more detailed? I only use it for playing FLAC files from a USB drive.

Higer resolution than CD is clearly audible with well mastered fayre.

Streaming is great for discovering new music and background music but for critical listening in my experience in most cases CD players are better.
What’s the best Apple streamer? I love this Cambridge but it’s only 44@16 because it only works with Apple air play. Am I wrong?
Will my CXA81 remote, control this unit? I want to replace my node2i but want a streamer with HDMI arc and this doesn't have that. Other than 5hat it looks to be a great item.
Yes it will. Or you can purchase one separately. Great they look after previous customers by incorporating the same ir code as all previous CX range.

It looks nice , that's true but about streaming - if you listening MQA files ( Tidal ), it's fine. Otherwise it's just HI RES like CD.

I won't be buying the CXN 100 anytime soon as I am very happy with my combination of Cambridge's CXN V2 and DacMagic 200M. But if you are shopping for a new streamer the CXN 100 should be on your very short list for sure. I am a Roon(ie) as well but I am using StreamMagic a lot since it has loads of radio stations in its database.

So this is my fear. And it's the same fear that many people have, who have a boss like Kevin. One day the great man will decide to retire. Who will be the replacement? I am from the UK and you tube has one video after another, telling us Brits how American companies are literally killing their employees, but not paying well, or making them work really long hours and not letting employees have paid holiday. In the UK we get at least 20 days a year paid holiday. Sometimes 25. Productivity goes down when employees are worked too hard and if you can't recharge your batteries, the motivation also goes down, because you are so tired all the time. I love you Kevin because you treat your employees like family. An example of proper leadership. Well done.
Why is it made in China, will it last?
Cambridge's have been made in China for years now. So far no issues here with my CXA81, CXN V2, CXC V2 or DacMagic 200M.
Do they hold there value when re-selling or trading up equipment?@@SandsOfArrakis
I have a Cambridge Audio Topaz CD10, AM10 and a Dacmagic 100 and all are over 10 years old. Still going strong. Topaz was their budget line but now they call it a axa35 amp & axc cd player. If I need to upgrade I will stay with the Cambridge name.
whenever I travel in an airplane made by Boeing I find myself wishing that it was actually made in China
Someone on another review stated after the warranty of his older Cambridge streamer it broke. Anybody else had this happen? I have been using the first Sonos modded streamer and still works! I was thinking of upgrading to Eversolo 8 or this Cambridge both made in China so not sure which is better? Has anyone compared yet?@@SandsOfArrakis

I did return V2 because it did not play all flavors of FLACs. Customer Support did not help - they confirmed the problem but could not fix it. Wondering if the same problem in this one.
