When there's all this bad in the world, it's nice to just get away and lose yourself in nature. Loved every second of it, Joe. Sorry Melissa wasn't feeling good, but still a great time. Thanks for all the wonderful videos, Sir!
It is an amazing way to relax on Sunday evening before starting the work week. Watching a tent video. I don't have a camp yet, so this is the next best thing, lol
I'm not ashamed to say, this made me cry! I cannot believe life can be as beautiful as this - words escape me but enough to say, it appears idyllic - you both deserve good health to enjoy each and every day because you have the priorities right. Best wishes from NI UK
I am so glad just to see you and Melissa have fun!! So much negative crap in the world, you show the great side of life and days when I used to fish on Pelucan lake fighting those wonderful fish!! Enjoy!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ love from Indiana! I love those northern pike!!!😊😊
I would get a waterproof box and fix it in the bed of the truck for the saw, muffs, gas, oil. Set it up custom so nothing is bouncing around. Just have it in the bed for tent time. A great video. You are a happy fella when your gal is around. Take care.
Thank you, Joe and Melissa, for sharing your wonderful short stay at the tent with us 😂. Looks like Chunkie and Joanie had a very nice time as well!!! Awesome fishing footage, too bad there were so many "shorts" but still looked as if Melissa had a wonderful time!! Thank you both again so much !!
Opening minutes, before you spoke, showed a wonderful property. I’m so glad you take us along. Joe, if you ever get the chance to visit out here you’d find wonderful wildlife and scenery, to near equal yours by the 14,700+ft. Mt. Rainier.
Sorry Melissa was feeling bad on the way home. Glad that you both had a good time and caught some fish. That was a peaceful day away from home. Stay safe and keep up the good videos. Fred.
Can't wait for Melissa to get there let the fishing begin lol👍Joe I hope you will catch a couple of fish also but like seeing Melissa catch them and be at the cabin . Have a good time both you. .
I really enjoy your videos at the tent! Exactly 30 miles from my house I own a little over 10 acres and I have a trailer that identifies as a cabin on it I really enjoy going up to it, I don’t have electricity up there so it’s a little different that your setup but I’m still really proud of it!
Thank you one day I want to build me a actual cabin on it but we are gonna get the wife a newer car first and then hopefully in the next few years I will get a cabin! My place is in Kentucky and is equal distance of one hour from Louisville and Cincinnati Ohio. I’m not sure where Babbitt is?
Thanks for the reply Joe! I can't find the original message so I'll go from memory....we are much the same. Our cabin dreams involve places not filled with people, kids, barking dogs...you know..the things we live with in our everyday life...4 hours is kinda barely where we start finding land that holds some interest....it's been a long search and we're still searching...just a spot where we might have some timber, maybe a river or lake nearby and the nearest neighbor is not right nextdoor! Anyway, we love turning on your videos and letting them go. Someday, we want to be doing just what you guys are doing! Take Care!
4 hours is not a big deal, just make sure that when you can, you take a day off work and do the 3 day. Go up Thursday night and come home Sunday or go up Friday and come home Monday. Not always, but once in awhile. It makes that long drive worth it. Just you and your ears ringing, its priceless.
Melissa continues to kick butt when it comes to fishing. I think you made Melissa mad with your early comment about bringing in the big fish. She really showed you who’s the master fisherwoman.
I see those temps in the 60's on your display.......it's so miserable here in Southern Missouri in the 100's and high humidity......(sigh) But, still I couldn't survive your winter's there.....lol
Where does the water go from your shower in your sink that you use in the kitchen or does it just run out under the cabinet or do you have it running out somewhere Zells?
What's with all the little northerns year that's what it's like at my cabin , we also always have to bring a chainsaw when going to cabin, it's north of grand rapids
I am watching your video in my home office to the sound on my own thunderstorms and lightening in my peripheral here in Northeast Florida. I have a dumb question... When you get a heavy snowstorm, do you experience thunder and lightning? Love traveling along to the tent with you guys.
Occasionally yes we will get "thunder snow" which is thundering as it is snowing. When that happens we usually get very heavy snow that will drop 1 to 2 inches of snow per hour. Just like a thunderstorm except the "rain" is coming down hard and is snow. This happens a couple times per winter.
Those old 2 (and the swing) do and they did when I got them. They look good that way. I wish the other ones that I made myself would start growing it also.
Joe, How Much Would A Tent Like Yours Cost To Build You Think A Rough Estimate ? Got 100 Acres Farm , Come On Down One Year For Some Good 🦌 Hunting You’ll Really Enjoy Yourself Man But Again I Would Love A Tent Built Dead In The Middle Of The Property!
Joe do you bleed your fish as you get them…I think it makes the meat a lot whiter..sitting on the porch and watching it rain..doesn’t get any better than that..
@@NorthernSeclusion I look forward to it! I have learned a lot about building from watching your videos over the years. I really enjoy your videos, thank you for making them!
When you are feeding the Whiskey Jack's reminds of The Northwoodsman 1 videos. He is also up in northern MN. Thanks for sharing your weekend with us.
Nice to see some classic northern thundershowers.
Thank you Joe!!!! Your videos always relax me after a tough day!!!! I know it must be hard to make them!!!
Excellent video... I always enjoy coming along... thanks
Hope Melissa, Ace Fishergal, recovered quickly. Tent videos are the best! 👏👍✨
That would be so relaxing sitting on the porch the storm rolling in. Gotta love the tent.
U know it. Minnesota is beautiful. Especially up north

God Bless you and your family Joe . Thank you for being a hard worker , and a good friend to so many for all of these years .
One of the sweetest things I have ever seen is the way you have tamed the wild birds to eat from your hand
Love seeing you feed the birds❤ Sure hope Melissa is feeling better

Well, it is certainly a beautiful place. Thanks for taking your time to share it with us.
I loved it when the bird hopped on your knee a couple of times. It's so adorable the way they eat out of your hand. I hope Melissa feels better.
Joe you're so good at carpentry, hunting, fishing, being a dad, being a husband, etc. Life goals.
He really is something!
It’s a wonderful day to watch a tent video!! Thank you for the video!!
love the sound of a good storm
Nothing better than a Tent Video, on a sunny Summers evening🤙
Amen to that. Finished yard work, got a roast in the oven, watching, eating, and passing out.
LOVE all your videos. The tent takes the prize!! Thank you both for sharing!
Joe, I use to have a house on the bay of green bay. Never failed the day I had to go home was always the best day.
Sweet, thanks for another upload Joe!

It was funny seeing Chunky sitting there looking in the bedroom waiting for Melissa to get up

Wish it would rain in Texas like that about once a week for three or four weeks!!
Remembering when you started that last journal. Such a cool idea to document all that goes on at the tent?
Lots of fish catching, let's see some fish cooking. Freezer must be full.
Thanks for video.
Good times as always
11:39. Great video
Enjoyed 😀
Love that property
Note to one self....always take the chain saw😊
the more i watch you,the better i like you!

But, still I couldn't survive your winter's there.....lol
It was 42 when I woke up this morning.
Is that a new camera ? It looks like a clearer video.
My wife and I just started watching this. Just wondering, where are ya'll at? Definitely not below the Mason Dixon line.
North East Minnesota.
At 6:19 or so, are those the spruce grouse you were talking about earlier the video?
I believe the ones up by the tent were spruce.
I saw 4 babies, momma has 4 babies running around there❤❤
Joe would starve for fish if not for Melissa!
People don't believe me when I tell them about these birds we also have in Ontario.
So did 5he baby deer make it across the lake safely?
Yes.
Hey Joe how far is your tent from Lake Vermillion,by tower, Mn?
I have never driven that route so I am not sure. It would take a good 2 hours for sure.
But then you are one of the sweetest men I have ever seen
Where does the water go from your shower in your sink that you use in the kitchen or does it just run out under the cabinet or do you have it running out somewhere Zells?
cool the grouse are not afraid of you at all
How long of a drive to the cabin from your farm house?
About 3 hours.
Did you sell the camper Joe?
Yes, they will be here to pick it up within the next coupe of weeks. They are coming up from Tennessee.
Do you share your journal writings? I believe many would be as interested as myself.
I have not yet. I may publish them in some way some day.
@@NorthernSeclusion I do think in a book form with photos would be really interesting. I'd be a buyer. Thanks for responding!
The picture from the front with the campfire and camp in the back is worth making an eight-by-ten out of hand putting in a frame
Melissa, your looking good girl. Keep up the good work, Joe ended up with a Hottyie

The camp chairs sure get a lot of moss on them.
Those old 2 (and the swing) do and they did when I got them. They look good that way. I wish the other ones that I made myself would start growing it also.
What are those birds that eat out of your hand?
Grey Jays. Whisky Jacks. Camp Robbers.
@@NorthernSeclusion Thanks for the info. G.
Would you be able to get some good video of the wood ducks out in front of your tent?
What kind of bird are they
A movie suggestion if u have not seen it A Fish Called Wanda very funny.
Not sure how it would work but couldn’t you use a generator to heat the water….or solar…?
Yes but the gas stove works flawlessly.
Why don't fish for large and smallmouth bass? The lake looks like it might be good for these species.
If you watch enough of the videos you have watched me catch quite a few largemouth. No smallies in that lake.
Joe what is that green stuff on the surface of the lake?
Lily pads and wild rice. It will soon start dying away. It gets real thick in the summer on the dry years when the water is low.
I am not sure. With todays prices you would have at least 10 grand into it.
Before knowing please tell
me you saved that little deer
How far of a drive is it from home to the tent?
About 3 hours.
Joe do you bleed your fish as you get them…I think it makes the meat a lot whiter..sitting on the porch and watching it rain..doesn’t get any better than that..
I do not bleed them. I will have to try it one day but I like the taste of the northern pike just how it is so I am afraid it might change the taste.
Great video! The views of the lake look so peaceful and quaint. Who needs a gun when you have a chainsaw! Gesundheit.
is chunky not a big fan of Thunderstorms?
He gets scared to death when it storms.
Your rottie look wonderful
Normally, when Joe works he has to slow the camera speed to 1/100. Thankfully, or frighteningly, he forgot to slow this clip in editing 30:28 🤣
Joe always mows but never does trimming!
Me Encantan los videos. Pero no se lo que ablan pueden traductor en español. Gracias 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
Joe those are Spruce grouse
Joe can you swim in that lake ??
You can and I have but that was years ago. I prefer heavily chlorinated water that is around 90 degrees when I go swimming.
There is a UA-cam er I watch in Virginia and the air quality there was so poor her kids played inside the house.
Joe go mud bugging more and keep them
You love to cook out don’t you Joe
I am aure you have answered this before but eating breakfast just not ur thing...
I have not ate a breakfast in at least 25 years.
Hey Joe, what happened with the guest house series?
It will come back. I have a lot of crap to get done before winter and the guesthouse is not weather sensitive. It can wait.

Why are there never any close-ups of melissa?
There are never any close ups of me either. I can not stand when people do close up shots.
