Damn straight! His music has been a huge influence in my playing. Every now and then you can hear a little bit of Mike's influence through my playing. I play every kind of music and Mike's chops will definitely help players to sound more dynamic and even learn chords and scales that they normally wouldn't want to no matter what type of music they play.
So simple yet absolutely fuckin incredible it amazes me like wtf. I used to spend hours trying to write the most complex and near impossible riffs. Yet something so simply and comfortably played blows it away
Mike you are a beautiful soul. Your songwriting is so inspirational to me I cannot even put it into words how impressed I am with you. Thank you for your contributions to this crazy world, and the magic that you and your truly one-of-a-kind band have brought to my life's journey!
This is awesome. It'd be so cool if he did a couple more instructional videos like this. I dunno about anyone else, but I have trouble figuring out what he's playing sometimes, since his guitar effects seem to mush all the notes into a beautiful wave of sound.
I’m learning guitar because of Mike and have wanted to learn since I was 8, when i heard Anna Molly for the first time 🥺 honestly I wish to become an awesome guitarist like him 😭 thank you for being such an inspiration! Love u guys !
Thanks Mike! Can you please give a tutorial on how to play Love Hurts? Been interested in learning this for awhile and can't seem to find the correct way to play it
Definitely would have liked for him to slow down on the chorus section and tell the fingers of those chords. I'm having to replay it over and over to get it right.
ernie ball music man guitars aren't really top of the line guitars. Its all in his hands. Mike could play that on any guitar and he could make it sound incredible.
i am just beginning to play guitar, and am in no way undermining mike einziger as being an amazing guitarist. however, i think anybody would sound to be a great player with eqiuptment that great. like i only know how to play a few chords at this point, but to pick up his guitar and play them would sound ten times better than my shitty guitar and amp.
This is an old comment, so I'm sure you've realized how remarkably wrong you were, but I just wanted to point out the fact that a great guitarist can sound amazing on the shittiest equipment, a shitty guitarist couldn't sound good on the best equipment. It's all the the quality of the guitarists skill. Good example here: ua-cam.com/video/gWPysY0Wis0/v-deo.html
this guy seriously writes the best riffs ever yo
Bradley Greenan was about to comment that
One of the most iconic, underrated guitarists of all time
Anyway...
Excuse my French, but are you fucking kidding me?!?!! Incredible. Not enough words to display the level of appreciation I have for this musician.
His style is so unique, he's one of my favorites
This man is one of the reasons I picked up the guitar many years ago. Huge fan
Mike is a genius.

So simple yet absolutely fuckin incredible it amazes me like wtf. I used to spend hours trying to write the most complex and near impossible riffs. Yet something so simply and comfortably played blows it away

Thanks Mike, that's awesome! Most musicians just don't go out and show the public how to play their songs. It's incredibly awesome for you to do this!

nicee mike that is talent
I miss the PRS hollowbody...that morning view tone is dreamlike
To cool to handle
PLEASE DO DEEP INSIDE! SAME WITH NEW SKIN!! I can play them both but I'd like to see EXACTLY how you play them.
Look at the fret travel on his pinky finger at 1:28. His chord shaping ability is ridiculous.
oh boy, i enjoy. much love
so true
The final riff he plays is basically "Wish you were here!" but in a different order. Not complaining, I just thought it was cool!
I think he recycles sounds a bit but I love this song
That's some tricky shit, bro.
Mike, cwb 2025..i will be there, bro...❤
Definitely would have liked for him to slow down on the chorus section and tell the fingers of those chords. I'm having to replay it over and over to get it right.
@iminnaband1234 its in the brain and heart
He looks so comfortable playing that new guitar.
understood he is an amazing guitarist. but agree that his top of the line guitar and pedals definitely makes it sound better
ernie ball music man guitars aren't really top of the line guitars. Its all in his hands. Mike could play that on any guitar and he could make it sound incredible.
