Yes alcohol has done it’s job ,he’s still good looking,the makeup job is terrible.but I agree he was gorgeous

Honestly it’s the veneers. If you watch how he moves his mouth, it’s different than what it used to be and I think it’s because he got his teeth done. Then add bad makeup and aging poorly and he looks very different

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but his accent has changed dramatically over the years. If you see him in Bend it Like Beckham or his interview after the Golden Globes, he had a true Irish accent and now when I see this interview, I think he could easily pass for British.
I liked him at the beginning of the movie! But then he exaggerated a lot in the character! I do not think he is that much alike! They miss a lot in the physical choice always! I know why they do it! I think there are so many imitators so physically and vocally alike ... and they do great performances on stage! Just need to be trained in acting! Cody Ray Slaughter in the 50's and 60's ... or Chris Connor in the 60's and 70's for example!

His portrayal was the worst one i have ever seen. It was so bad it was hilarious. Doesn't look abit like Elvis at all. How that won any awards is beyond me. Austin Butler's portrayal in the Elvis movie this year looks promising and could be as good as Kurt Russell's portrayal of Elvis in the 1979 film. Looking forward to that.
The best Elvis actors to me were Kurt Russell and Michael St Gerard, worse Elvis actor was Jonathan Rhys Meyers, the new Elvis bio movie with Austin Butler as Elvis, seems like its going to be good can't wait to see it,
Honestly, I don't think anyone will ever match up. It's probably why they keep remaking the story with different actors.
Even seeing how Jonathan was lip syncing it was extremely overdone and made it so so obvious he was lip syching

This guy did a horrible job as Elvis. Possibly the worst biopic actor ever hired. I cannot put into words how tragic it was to see him drag the King of Rock down to a sub-B actor level

He did when he was younger. He’s obviously much older in this interview and I hear he has dealt with alcohol problems since then. Plus he’s lost weight.
I know I shouldn't nitpick, but Jonathan Rhys Meyers isn't the right height to play Elvis.
@@tinamcintyre6797 idk if you look at the “If I Can Dream” scene of the film and compare it with the actual footage from the Comeback Special it looks absolutely nothing alike. Even in the 1950s scenes I think he looks a little too different for me to actually be immersed into his performance
JRM's a great talent, but Elvis must be played by an American.
