honestly, when i watch these old clips, all i see is bang chan’s genius. like. dude. his leadership presence is so clear within the team, and he pulls off the centre position so well. plus his arranging skills, stable vocals, and clear high notes? it’s a pity he didn’t get to show his rap here, or he really would’ve shown everything he’s got. he’s so talented that i’m not surprised this survival show was basically created FOR him - a chance for him to prove himself with the 7 members he handpicked. i’m actually surprised yg didn’t try to poach him away from jyp.
Exactly! I’ve been a stay since backdoor era however I used to do competitive dancing and I am incredibly impressed by how well arranged and smoothly executed this choreography is. It’s so versatile and innovative, makes great use of dynamics and isn’t afraid to be a little comedic as well. And most impressive of all- they choreographed this pre debut when they were literally TEENS. If they entered a dance competition with this they’d definitely do well! And let’s not forget his amazing facial expressions- I mean WOW! Chan is literally everything a leader could aspire to be- a fantastic vocalist, dancer, rapper, lyricist ( I mean man produces all of their songs I mean come on how is that not impressive ) and best of all he’s such a kind-hearted person who genuinely cares for his members and fans. He’s simply amazing and one of the best leaders in the industry. I’m so glad that all his hard work as a trainee has payed off and now the world can finally see him for what he truly is- an genius star.

jyp's team had some next-level creativity and stage presence, and yg's team has really sharp popping/dance skills and uniformity. they're both so talented though, can't wait till we can see them all debut!
I like StrayKids dance better cause they show their silliness but they also show that they work extremely hard on that dance but also kinda have fun with it but the other team is kinda like practice,practice and not having fun with it which is really important in my opinion . StrayKids also have the facial expressions which are really on point and the other team is straight face but I have to admit their dance are really good as well.

Stray kids took the option of showing their charms with a fun dance and a powerful dance. Their facial expressions matched it and they had the charisma something that yg sliver boys weren't as strong in. There was nothing wrong with yg's trainees. It's just that stray kids gave more of an impact, and followed the music not just with their bodies but with their facial expressions as well. Their creative choices enabled them to do these things

I personally would say jyp was better ...Not because the dance was better, they were both really good, but straykids' facial expressions were just so much better in my opinion, so they didnt seem like....robots
I have to say that Changbin’s dancing is definitely not talked about enough. His moves are so stable and clean and he is so able to control the changes of power within every move very precisely that also looks very natural and effortless. He is a true dancer, and is also known as one of the best 4th gen kpop rappers, we also know he can sing. He is truly an all-rounder and I wish his dancing can be recognized and talked about more.

I agree with you. Those dance moves that were done by YG trainees I have seen all of them already. But Stray Kids has some dance moves and dance positions that I have never seen before and I'm a dance freak I watch tons of dances everyday.
personally, i really likes stray kid’s unique choreography just that, i like looking at clean cut dancing and yg showed that. it was standard dancing, full of power and not as unique as stray kid’s but it was really clean and it shows how well they work as a team. of course i’m not saying that stray kid’s don’t have teamwork, just that their dancing styles are really different that it made it look pretty messy, imo. (which is exactly why i like jisung, his moves aren’t as big or powerful as the dance line of sk but it’s precise, sharp and powerful. aaah, i really would rank him as first in dancing if it wasn’t about skills)

Hellevator made me a Stay. I´m so proud to have been with them since before debut, I can really see their growth from Hellevator times, to District 9 and now My Pace! I can really see Stray Kids and NCT growing into "the new BTS and EXO"

JYP performance was dynamic, funny to see, interesting of what is happening next, good songs, they don’t look with an only expression, they are having fun in their performance, that’s why I love more JYP, but also I liked the YG, but they need that, they look like robots, have an main dancer, doesn’t interact with all the members to much as stray kids, that’s why. The transition from cute to manly just shows us that Stray Kids are able to do both concept. They slayed, even Yg's group. As dramatic this may sound, but their group gave this strong yet manly vibe. More of a hip hop feeling compared to SK. I mean, basing it off from their moves, it seems like they were mostly focusing on that. It does seem to suit YG's style. Although they danced really well, their moves didn't really leave a huge impact on me. For the dance, I prefer more of SK chores because they were pretty unique to me and entertaining to watch. I could continue to rant more about them but nah...

apart from the actual dancing (which was great in different ways for both teams), yessssss I live for this kind of supportive environment!!!! JYP performance was so interesting to watch. Everything was so unexpected and the boys seemed to be having the time of their lives. They didn't even have their main dancer but wow. It got me dancing along. YG performance was very good as well, but they seem to be robots. The facial expressions weren't there and they seemed to be dancing because they had to rather than because they wanted too. That's why I liked JYP's performance better, but they both did a great job and worked hard
@@liv8617 Personally i felt in kingdom ep 1 they did too many flips and tricks and there was little unity and actual dance unlike in this. i wish they had more unique dancing like they did in this than just flashy tricks

I just love how StrayKids put some humor on their dances. They just didn't put out some badass choreography and make it more interesting & enjoyable to watch. Looking at views of this video you can already tell JYP doesn't need mediaplay, actions are louder than words.
Sus Ee Yeah, we're starved of YG artists. We cannot see them elsewhere 😂😂 I'm desperate to see YG's new trainees and JYP is doing a better job at promoting them than YG is. I didn't know this show, but Bang Yedam made me watch it lol. After I found out the YG vs JYP, I HAD TO WATCH. Can't wait to see these trainees again next year on their own survival show like Mix&Match or maybe Girls vs Boys group like Mix Nine, since YG is also planning on debuting another girl group anyways.

I'm back to this scene after 5 years and having seen Stray Kids on both of their concert tours. Their chemistry is impeccable and is clearly evident in this video. Look at Bang Chan and Han with their funny faces in the first half of the performance. They really know how to portray their character and connect with the audience. Music-wise, they already planned out their main concepts to be funny/quirky, and swag/hardcore, as shown here with their duality.

honestly, when i watch these old clips, all i see is bang chan’s genius. like. dude. his leadership presence is so clear within the team, and he pulls off the centre position so well. plus his arranging skills, stable vocals, and clear high notes? it’s a pity he didn’t get to show his rap here, or he really would’ve shown everything he’s got. he’s so talented that i’m not surprised this survival show was basically created FOR him - a chance for him to prove himself with the 7 members he handpicked. i’m actually surprised yg didn’t try to poach him away from jyp.
Exactly! I’ve been a stay since backdoor era however I used to do competitive dancing and I am incredibly impressed by how well arranged and smoothly executed this choreography is. It’s so versatile and innovative, makes great use of dynamics and isn’t afraid to be a little comedic as well. And most impressive of all- they choreographed this pre debut when they were literally TEENS. If they entered a dance competition with this they’d definitely do well! And let’s not forget his amazing facial expressions- I mean WOW! Chan is literally everything a leader could aspire to be- a fantastic vocalist, dancer, rapper, lyricist ( I mean man produces all of their songs I mean come on how is that not impressive ) and best of all he’s such a kind-hearted person who genuinely cares for his members and fans. He’s simply amazing and one of the best leaders in the industry. I’m so glad that all his hard work as a trainee has payed off and now the world can finally see him for what he truly is- an genius star.

Stray kids took the option of showing their charms with a fun dance and a powerful dance. Their facial expressions matched it and they had the charisma something that yg sliver boys weren't as strong in. 안무는 전문 선생님이 짜셨겠지만 아이디어는 스키즈친구들이 냈을 확률이 높다고 봅니다
가령 님이 고양이 마스코트 캐릭터를 만들고 싶은데 디자인 능력은 부족하면 프로 디자이너에게 맡길 수 있죠
그런데 님이 디자인 실력은 모자라도 과일소스 고기 요리가 메인인 레스토랑을 차리면서 마스코트로 몸에 검은 반점 대신 과일 문양이 들어간 표범을 택해 디자이너에게 그런 캐릭터를 완성해달라고 요구했다면
디자인의 원작자는 프로디자이너라도 그 디자인은 님만의 성향이나 아이디어를 담을 수 있고
가령 그렇게 해서 매우 차별화된 캐릭터가 탄생했다면 님의 기여도가 없다고 할 수는 없겠죠
저 춤의 디테일한 동작이나 동선은 안무가님이 짰겠지만 이후 스키즈가 활동하며 보여준 바를 보더라도
스키즈팀의 유니크한 구성은 스키즈들의 아이디어도 상당히 반영되어 있을 확률이 높다고 봅니다
(킹덤 비하인드를 보면 스키즈들과 스태프들이 모여 자연스럽게 의견을 빌드하는 과정이 나오고 아이디어나 전체적인 방향성 스케치는 같이 하되 이를 구현하는데 전문적인 능력이 딸리는 것들은 도움을 받는 식으로도 많이 작업하니까요. 안무만 그런 게 아니라 매니악을 들으면 드릴소리가 들어가는데 드릴소리를 넣기로 하고 기존에 활용가능한 드릴 소리 중에 마음에 쏙 드는 게 없어서 친한 작곡가분에게 기존의 드릴소리를 원하는 드릴소리로 바꾸는 법을 배워 곡에 넣고 그 작곡가 이름도 들어가는 식으로 했고 그렇게 작업하면서 배우고 성장하고 있죠
스키즈 노래를 쓰리라차가 작곡하면 멤버들에게 피드백을 받는데 퍼포쪽을 맡은 댄스라차들이 여기는 춤을 더 강조하고 싶으니 구간을 늘려달라거나 댄스의 흐름상 비트가 이렇게 가면 좋겠다 등등 제안들을 해서 이를 반영한다고 하더군요. 물론 실제로 그런 의견들이 반영하여 곡을 완성하는 건 쓰리라차라서 작사작곡편곡 등에 이름이 들어가는 건 해당 분야에 참여한 쓰리라차뿐이죠
(창빈이나 한은 주로 탑라인만 쓰고 인스트루멘탈 트랙도 만드는 건 방찬이라 편곡에 보면 방찬만 종종 포함됩니다. 인스트루멘탈 트랙에도 창빈과 한의 의견이나 아이디어가 역시 들어가지만 실제로 그걸 반영해 만드는 건 방찬이라 역시 이 둘의 이름이 편곡에 포함되지 않습니다. 실제로 일한 자가 댓가를 누리는 거죠
댄스라차들은 직접 안무동작들을 짠다기보다 다양한 안무가님들께 안무시안을 받아 구간구간 어울리는 시안을 고르고 이를 하나의 시안으로 완성하는데 헤비하게 관여하죠
이 영상 속 공연도 보면 편곡에 방찬이 들어가 있자나요. 편곡 능력은 아직 충분히 성장하지 못 했을 무렵이니 제1편곡자는 아니지만요

탄생부터 케이팝 아이돌 그룹 중에 유니크하고 자신들만의 색깔과 추구하는 바가 확고한 싹수 있는 그룹이었어요. 초반에 아직 실력적으로는 모자라는 부분들이 있었어도 개성은 이미 그룹적으로나 그룹의 음악적으로나 매우 독보적이 될 싹수가 보였고 모든 멤버가 팀에 누가 되고 싶지 않고 어떻게든 무리라도 해내려는 노력파들이라 지금은 모두 괄목상대로 성장해서 실력적으로도 매우 탄탄하죠
(데뷔하기도 전부터 고음이 더 멋있다는 이유로 박진영도 놀랄 만한 고음을 넣어 프리데뷔곡 헬레베이터를 작곡하고 박진영이 만류했지만 실제로 부단히 연습해서 성공적으로 해냈었죠) 미리 한계를 정하고 안전하게 그 안에서 놀기보다 본인들 하고 싶은 걸 무리해서라도 넣고 기어이 해내가며 그런 도전 속에서 성장해온 그룹입니다
찬이가 뽑고 찬이의 간택을 받아들인 멤버들끼리 만든 그룹이고 찬이가 솔선해서 자신이 만든 그룹에 다 갈아넣는 걸 보면서 그 짐을 덜어주려고 멤버들도 같이 갈아넣으면서 성장한 그룹이라 지금도 굉장히 끈끈하고 서로를 자랑스러워 한다는 것도 장점이죠

I have to say that Changbin’s dancing is definitely not talked about enough. His moves are so stable and clean and he is so able to control the changes of power within every move very precisely that also looks very natural and effortless. He is a true dancer, and is also known as one of the best 4th gen kpop rappers, we also know he can sing. He is truly an all-rounder and I wish his dancing can be recognized and talked about more.

they both did really really good, but stray kids’ facial expressions and the uniqueness they put into the choreography is very well done. all of their moves were powerful and sharp as well i loved it 😍😍
I agree with you. Those dance moves that were done by YG trainees I have seen all of them already. But Stray Kids has some dance moves and dance positions that I have never seen before and I'm a dance freak I watch tons of dances everyday.
personally, i really likes stray kid’s unique choreography just that, i like looking at clean cut dancing and yg showed that. it was standard dancing, full of power and not as unique as stray kid’s but it was really clean and it shows how well they work as a team. of course i’m not saying that stray kid’s don’t have teamwork, just that their dancing styles are really different that it made it look pretty messy, imo. (which is exactly why i like jisung, his moves aren’t as big or powerful as the dance line of sk but it’s precise, sharp and powerful. aaah, i really would rank him as first in dancing if it wasn’t about skills)

JYP performance was dynamic, funny to see, interesting of what is happening next, good songs, they don’t look with an only expression, they are having fun in their performance, that’s why I love more JYP, but also I liked the YG, but they need that, they look like robots, have an main dancer, doesn’t interact with all the members to much as stray kids, that’s why.

The transition from cute to manly just shows us that Stray Kids are able to do both concept. They slayed, even Yg's group. As dramatic this may sound, but their group gave this strong yet manly vibe. More of a hip hop feeling compared to SK. I mean, basing it off from their moves, it seems like they were mostly focusing on that. It does seem to suit YG's style. Although they danced really well, their moves didn't really leave a huge impact on me. For the dance, I prefer more of SK chores because they were pretty unique to me and entertaining to watch. I could continue to rant more about them but nah...
This proves tht JYP and YG aren't in the big 3 for no reason.

apart from the actual dancing (which was great in different ways for both teams), yessssss I live for this kind of supportive environment!!!! I love how the trainees are having fun and cheering for one another throughout all of the performances even though this is a "battle"... I hope they become friends when they all debut!!

JYP performance was so interesting to watch. Everything was so unexpected and the boys seemed to be having the time of their lives. They didn't even have their main dancer but wow. It got me dancing along. YG performance was very good as well, but they seem to be robots. The facial expressions weren't there and they seemed to be dancing because they had to rather than because they wanted too. That's why I liked JYP's performance better, but they both did a great job and worked hard

SKZ slayed. They're both good, but look at the SKZ expression. SKZ always killing it. The choreo was hard, even though the expressions 1000/10
SK did so well, but I was surprised on how well the YG boys did. Especially since they weren't grouped up at all so in terms of matching each other as a team I didn't expect that. Congrats to both!

I just love how StrayKids put some humor on their dances. They just didn't put out some badass choreography and make it more interesting & enjoyable to watch. Looking at views of this video you can already tell JYP doesn't need mediaplay, actions are louder than words.

Sus Ee Yeah, we're starved of YG artists. We cannot see them elsewhere 😂😂 I'm desperate to see YG's new trainees and JYP is doing a better job at promoting them than YG is. I didn't know this show, but Bang Yedam made me watch it lol. After I found out the YG vs JYP, I HAD TO WATCH. Can't wait to see these trainees again next year on their own survival show like Mix&Match or maybe Girls vs Boys group like Mix Nine, since YG is also planning on debuting another girl group anyways.

@@erickolimsoapking2313 : of the yg trainees? some of them left yg ent. but the ones here that are still under yg are yedam, doyoung + jihoon (i think) and they will debut in yg's new group treasure13, and then raesung stayed at yg but is continuing as a producer. seunghun left to join c9 ent and will debut with cix in a couple of days, woong left to debut in ab6ix a month or so ago, midam left and went onto produce x 101 and is under a new company.
i’m so glad that Lee Know came back in the final line-up. Every member brings something important to SKZ, and I’m glad they’re all together.

I'm back to this scene after 5 years and having seen Stray Kids on both of their concert tours. Their chemistry is impeccable and is clearly evident in this video. Look at Bang Chan and Han with their funny faces in the first half of the performance. They really know how to portray their character and connect with the audience. Music-wise, they already planned out their main concepts to be funny/quirky, and swag/hardcore, as shown here with their duality.
