Honestly though, I'm starting to think that not debuting under YG might be for the best. I've lost track of how many YG artists that have outright criticized their own company or made subtle comments about issues like unfair treatment and lack of support. There are so many unresolved issues that I'm seriously questioning how the company is run. For example; the failure to debut Mixnine (and I guess we have to wait and see what happens with the Treasure box trainees), idols not receiving songs/not being given the opportunity to release their own songs, after the Seungri issue the company admitted to shortcomings concerning the management of their artists - but they still haven't come up with a solution other than being even more strict and controlling (wouldn't it be better to work on improving the company culture instead of punishing people for something they had no control over?!). To summarize, the trainees who didn't get to debut under YG might not get the same kind of publicity when they debut, but leaving YG doesn't make them any less talented. If they work hard they could still make it in the industry.

I was rather addressing the company as a whole. I'm not saying that it's wrong for a company to have strict rules, rules are there for everybody's safety. But entertainment companies who take excessive measures to make sure their artists "stay in their lanes" run the risk of violating human rights to health and freedom. I think YG is restricting their artists freedom way to much, because I would personally never work for a company that didn't allow me to talk to my co-workers, acquire a driving license or even go to the convenience store by myself.

If you see that name in yg artists albums like in Winner, iKon, Akmu, Mino, Bobby and Treasure album credits, he is that kid. He gave up being a yg trainee and now a full time yg producer. Fun fact, He co produced Love Scenario with B.I in just 2 hours.

here's my speculation. When YG found out Jeon Woong, who is now in AB6IX, was a JYP trainee. Chan is really good at hypng everyone up. I mean the way he hyped up woong and how happy woong looked. This is the best skz and ab6ix interaction I've seen so far
I know most of you thought YG did better but you gotta give credit to the Stray Kids too. Chan completely transformed the disco genre into this mellow, dark one. It's a completely new song, polished with the three's amazing vocals.
It was good, but it was missing something in the beat. Their stage presence was okay but their voices were onpoint and the rapping👌 however YG trainees had pulled out the full package. From the rearrangement of the song, down to choreo, voices and stage presence. That's why YG trainees over shadowed Stray Kids in the comment section. But the dance battle is where stray kids killed it.!

Definitely YG won this time.YG surprised me a lot in the vocal aspect, I know there are very good singers in the YG but these children seem to have already debuted. I had expectations with Yedam and he overcame them, I hope so much his debut that when I saw him cry, he has grown a lot and he is one of the diamonds hidden in YG. I will forever love SK’s BP cover, but what YG’s group did with that song (which I’ve never heard before) was just amazing. It gave me the vibe. To be honest, I can’t really compare cuz both were super good. Edit: The vibe is different and so is the delivery so I can’t choose which is better. That BP cover sounds so smooth and makes my sing. 😂 I love Stray Kids. I really love the dynamic between both teams. I like how they can enjoy each other’s performances and just have fun.
Stray kids never fail to surprise me. Woojin's vocals, I cant find any word to describe how perfect he is 😭 Han is so great, he's literally in every line (vocal, dance, and rap) 😯 Chan did so well, he was so stable and his vocals were amazing 💖 I love them so much 😩 I love this version way more than the original 👌

If you watch a Jeon Jeonwoong interview, he said that he was called in YG's office randomly and he was let go... so dumb!

But the dance battle is where stray kids killed it.!

Definitely YG won this time.YG surprised me a lot in the vocal aspect, I know there are very good singers in the YG but these children seem to have already debuted. I had expectations with Yedam and he overcame them, I hope so much his debut that when I saw him cry, he has grown a lot and he is one of the diamonds hidden in YG. He sings beautiful and he looks cute and humble.
