Girl... I got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed at 38... They caused me no problems until then. No shame in waiting if they didn't cause too many issues. I still have my bottom 2 bc they're impacted and my dentist has been keeping an eye on them. It hurt for a couple of days, but pineapple sorbet was my go to during my healing process (and it helped with the swelling).

@@cadycastle9957 I hated dentists for a really long time. But my dentist is AMAZING and made sure I was super numb so I didn't feel anything. A couple of the roots were bent too, so they were a bit difficult to get out. I've also had 2 root canals and crowns put on too. I.think having the right dentist really helps ease that anxiety.

People just love to put their 2 cents in, lol. The nail bed is one of the best places to detect cyanosis caused by low oxygen levels. Cyanosis is a bluish color in the skin, lips, and nail beds caused by a shortage of oxygen in the blood. So I’m with you, take those nails off. You can create new ones anytime, but we only have 1 life to live.

I'm a "young" mid-60's gal and I've never had them pulled. When I grew up, we didn't have any dental insurance, so we went when it was absolutely necessary. My dentist said I should not have any issues and thank God I didn't! Bless you for going through that and I'm happy you are feeling better. When I had my kids back in the 70's and 80's, my OBGYN told me to make sure I was not wearing any nail polish when I was ready to have the baby. He said they needed to see the blood or something in my plain nails. I don't remember exactly what that was, but even back then...no polish on the nails!

Hi, Evie!! Glad to hear you are doing well after wisdom teeth removal. I love the red french tip; honestly these seem to be the best out of the high-end polishes you've reviewed so far.
About matte polishes: Sally Hansen has a 2 step gel polish that does not require a UV light. Step 1 is the color and Step 2 is a top coat that activates the color. Step 2 also comes as a matte top coat! Would you try it one day? Maybe do some color swatches and test out the durability of the polish?

I’ve been collecting regular polishes for maybe 15 years, and I actually try to cycle through and clean the bottle necks with acetone, because even if I haven’t used since I cleaned it last, it still eventually gunks up again. Sometimes, it’ll even build up so much that you have to clean the inside of the lid as well, or it just keeps getting on the bottle and drying again
I love your videos so much ❤ they’re so thorough, but also so relaxing

I just realised, people (from the US) who get their wisdom teeth pulled out as teenagers, don't they (often) have dental coverage from their parents' jobs?
Dentistry is only free for kids up to 16 in Norway, and I believe it's something similar in Australia.
Having to pay for your own dentistry, as in not having it covered by insurance, is hella expensive!
Don't feel bad if you haven't been able to afford something like this. It is expensive!

You can put matte top coat over anything to make it matte, but there are also formulas that dry matte on their own (neons tend to do this naturally because of the pigment), but they'll go glossy if you put a gloss top coat on.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed about 10 years ago, I went under completely too with anaesthesia but had an extremely hard time pulling myself out of it afterwards and there were some concerned nurses trying to keep me awake to no avail. Took me three times as long as "normal" to get through the aftermath of general anaesthesia.
I felt really sick cos of all the blood that had gone into my stomach, they had to dig and break all 4 of mine out. Luckily the healing went smooth as anything aside from the typical bruising and swelling. And I had 0 pain the entire recovery long, lucky me!

I got my wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago. The worst part wasn’t even the surgery, it was the recovery pain. The medicine works wonders though. 😂 Also, the reason they say remove the fake nails is because when you have your teeth pulled, your long nails carry bacteria under them and during the recovery process you will have your hands all in your mouth changing your packing and rinsing the mouth, the stitches and your mouth is bleeding which means your wounds are still technically open so you can cause infection in your mouth if you have those nails on when you’re trying to recover. Once all the stitches dissolve or fall out, then you can do your nails again. That’s why they tell you that and this is with any surgery.

I'm 32 and still have all of my wisdom teeth, never had any problems with mine so I see no need to remove them. Can’t believe people would even think to shame anyone about it, people are very strange. Your nails look great, love the different shdes of red but wont be purchasing haha

Regarding the matte finish of regular nail polish: You can have nail polishes that are matte on their own (like some of these you showed here), and there is also like you said a matte top coats. A matte top coat will cause any manicure to look matte whether the nail polish underneath was matte or not. Same way like glossy top coat will make anything look glossy whether the polish underneath was glossy or not. Loved this video!

Having my wisdom teeth removed was TERRIBLE!! I was about 2 weeks post-partum after having a c-section and everything was just ugghh. Found out a student was working on me after they had already set me up in the room, that had me on edge so I opted to only have 1 removed then went back 2 weeks later to have the other 3 removed from someone who wasn't just learning. We all have to learn to do things but don't practice on me please.

I had 5 wisdom teeth (one on each corner of my mouth and 2 on the lower right). I got numbed and was awake the entire time. Unfortunately the numbing didn't work and they gave me like the max dose and I still could feel everything. Unfortunately they couldn't give me more or knock me out so I felt them pull my teeth out. It was very painful but recovery went by pretty well. Just the numbing part was traumatizing haha

At least here in Germany wisdom teeth are not taken care of as long as they are not hurting or causing other problems. For some people, they grow out perfectly fine (or never at all) so it would have been an unnecessary operation. So for our standards, you did nothing wrong 😘
Funny story: I got all 4 wisdom teeth out on "fasching", its a day were people do costumes (like Halloween). So I got my teeth taken out by a witch and a clown 😂 pretty crazy

Unstable childhood... that's a way of putting it. I'll be using that line myself now. Man, some people are born and raised with silver spoons in their mouths... Those people, imho, shouldn't even be allowed to vote ok!!! They just DON'T get what it's like to be hurting. And fyi, I had half mine pulled when I was 32 and the others filled last year at 41. You're not alone evie! And here's a suggestion for those crazy bottles. Use them as punishment tools if hubby gets out of line! Lololololol😂😂😂 where the sun don't shine!!!

I would argue that people who were treated well in childhood would have better boundaries and less tolerance for abuse than those of us who had unstable childhoods 😩 I didn't even realize how messed up I let people treat me as an adult until I went to therapy at 30 🤦

My wisdom teeth were quite painful, they were growing under the other back teeth, so yeah they hurt. The blender was my friend for about 2 weeks.

Oooo gurl yes I've had my wisdom plus 10 other teeth pulled along with 5 root canals and a bridge with 7 crowns so I know exactly what that pain is and it's nothing nice!! Same as you, I didn't get the chance to go to the dentist that much as a kid bc of financial reasons and am fixing things now. It is nobody's business as to why or what age you choose or have to get any type of medical procedure done for yourself, especially when ppl don't know your whole life story! But thank you for always being so open and honest with us!!!!
