AWESOME! Just starting to plan my build after a trip away on the Murray with my battery in a milk crate a spaghetti wiring. will be def referring to this!! Well one
I build one of these into a toolbox with the same usb/cigarette lighter socket plate and used it on my bicycle trailer just a warning make sure you use them on vehicles with suspension after a few trips you’ll break them otherwise
It worked well for me in the time that I had it in the back of our Colorado. It has now been replaced with a new canopy set up. thanks for the tip though.
Thanks for a great video, at last someone has put it all together. Instead of having all the component's on a board, you put them all in a complete package box, well done. What are the chances you could produce a schematic for the box...? I think there would be a lot of people who would be very interested.
Not too sure I will do that Roger. I have now modified the box while adding a Victron battery monitor. It is all something that I have done because it cost me nothing for labour. If I was to pay someone to do it then it would be cost prohibitive
That's a monster. May as well have all the components tucked away and hardwired to the vehicle no? How often do you take that out of the vehicle and lug it around? No disrespect but i thought the main principle behind a battry box is that it's portable.....
The main reason for this battery box was to have everything located in one compact location within the vehicle, not to be portable. The idea worked relly well while we had it.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 And if you plan first and buy from eBay instead of a store you'll save HEAPS Fuse block Jaycar $35 ebay less than half :)

Brilliant just what I needed to see!
Thanks Trent, it gets used most trips that we go on.

How much would set-up like this cost? I like it very much.
The actual cost is unknown as I did all the work myself. Battery, Inverter, switches & fuses would be at a cost of approximately $800.00
