Mia I live in Canada and how I think customs works is that if you order from a website that lists it’s prices in USD than you will have to pay customs on it. Most websites will ask you or know your location and change the currency to Canadian dollar and charge you the Canadian price but some websites do not and then you have to pay the difference in customs when it comes across the border. Hope this helps you avoid getting hit with customs!
