This one is way warmer though, I think the filter is less sharp than Curtis on REV2. I love it, a bit odd voice count (7) though - everything else seems and sounds like a mix of REV2 and P6, since it is more hands on and immediate. Effects are a nice touch - and I was thinking about this - if you build a boutique synth, do you even bother adding effects? And if yes, what effects? For instance, I feel that UDO did a great job with Super 6 and Juno style chorus, plus digital delay - it sounds great, you can modulate rates - and rather than adding some kind of cheap reverb algo, you leave it to the user, who surely have a pedal or two, or is just using a nice Valhalla or whatever. So this is also a good choice for this synth - a chorus and a delay. Another great selling point is multitimbrality, 4??? might be too much for a 7 voice machine though.
Would be nice to hear it not going through the compressor. Seem like a nice poly, but I think for that price I'd pick up a Novation Peak (with its beautiful built in reverb) and a Digitone with the change.

You are super legit Jorb. I guess I’m just a jealous hater. I just wish everything wasn’t for fucking sale.
Make your money man. I’m proud of you. You’re building a thing I wish I could. I’m not hating. Just frustrated.
It seems like you kinda changed you mind by the end of the thread, but let's talk about it.
I see it as just another way to support me, and better than patreon because people get something cool in return.
If I'm going to get only a few videos out of every synth I pay $1000 + for, I need to find more ways to get paid for my time.
Even if I sell them immediately, the loss in fees or shipping or whatever makes this not sustainable, especially when I'm otherwise unemployed.
Pick the support that works for you, is all.
Cheers
not interested. i do have the reverb pedal though for synths. its ok. ive had it for years and its my main one. not sure im in love with it but never tried anything else really.
Very cool unit but 1500 US dollars is a lot of money these days for $1,500 us I can buy you used Flagship model Yamaha or Korg
What analog Yamaha flag ship?
Dont take the price to compare with other synths, this is the evolution of GS music, having their awesome mono synths, now designing a good poly, thats a good price for getting ready such a project in a small company
@@bangmateo7481 probably something John would buy, a digital Yamahahahaha and try and tell everyone it sounds better than analog, then ask Mr Tuna if a Juno X sounds better than VA!!
Yeah, I can sell you my GX-1.😂
