I can't get enough of these videos. They are educational and more importantly motivational. I am in the process of finishing up harvesting and starting to bulk feed in preparation for winter. This will be my first year overwintering in single broods. Hopefully it works out.
Lovely video. Thanks for sharing this Ian. To you it might be boring but too the public it's fascinating, to other beekeepers it's like, wow, One day!!! You got the music just right!! 😁👍🍾🅰️+ 💯
Just incredible. There was a shifty looking man eating the produce at the beginning, though. Watch him! 😄 Just amazing how the other half live: slightly different to my 12 frame hand crank extractor. 🤣
Mate, Carrie is an absolute machine, she's an all-rounder, and seems to excell at every stage of beekeeping. She is perfect for your operation. How did you even find her? I reckon you are lucky to have such an experienced and devoted beekeeper, and it shows your wisdom as a business owner and beekeeper in general.
Finally we see the honey house nice one , you had plastic liners in the 44 gallon drums before what happen ? And last but not least did you have a good year making honey for you said Trump might stuff things up be interested to know . Thanks for ALL the videos very much enjoy .
Honestly curious why the hair net? How come he has one but she does not? Whats the point of wearing a hair net and not something to cover those hairy arms? lol just curious. Anyhow keep up the great videos!
So if you have 1200 hives that's crazy math 9 frame boxes each frame fully drawn comb it's crazy to think how you got to that point alone having that many frames fully drawn comb which begs to ask how long does a frame last you a full drawing comb and are you constantly working at having the Bees draw Newcomb?
Hi Ian, 3rd year Manitoba beekeeper here. You mentioned some honey starting to get solid in some of your frames same thing happened to me. Do you do anything to the frame or the bees fix it next year?
Would you save more money by shipping your honey in larger totes rather than 55 gallon drums. Also do you ever sell your honey direct to the public. I would purchase some if you did. Cheers
That's a nice setup chum. Good for you. Well done.
The little smile from Carrie at 6:00 was sweet. Way to go guys, a fine job you did there all by yourselves. Thanks for posting.
Great look inside your honey house and your extraction operation. Thanks to you two for sharing with us!
Very nice! Love the detailed shots of the process. Without too much talking really makes you think!

Cool Laminar honey flow 9:30 🤩
Such a pleasant, clean and well lighted operation area in order to extract that liquid gold.
Surprised 😯 you don’t have a bigger spinner, with the amount of colonies you’re running
👍 love the vlog Ian
Much Respect for y’all!
That’s one sweet product!!! Ian, can you walk through each machine and tell what it does?
Maybe you can build some rolling platforms for your drums to make them easier to move. Awesome set up you have there.
Noooooo it ended too soon.
I liked the vat being poured off into drums
Just amazing! Thanks so much for sharing!
WoW❕🍯
lots of hard focused work 👌🏼
Nice work 👏
The big like for you my friend from Portugal good work end quip going
The boss himself took part in the battle.😎👍One for two man haha

After every production day

Nice video Ian. How many gallons of honey those steel barrels hold and what is the weight ? Thks.
markspc1 55 gallon drum by looks of it. Gotta be 600 lbs give or take
Very cool, from brazil.
Wow what a job sir.
Sir you dont useful a flow hive .
How many hives do you have in total?!
FREAKING AMAZING WHAT IT TAKES TO GET HONEY
Question? Have you ever had bees on vetch for a nectar source? And if so was it a decent flow? And is the honey any good?
Does the honey packer clean the drums before they send them back to you? Thanks for Sharing!
JC S
Yes
wow!!
Hey Ian how are you liking your paradise cappings press? Also, what are the dimensions of that room if you don't mind sharing?
Matt Winstead
Works great !
The extracting room is 35 by 38 I think lol
The building is 80 by 50, the hot room is 45 by 50, the common room is 12 feet
"the last bit of honey"
-- man's got like 40 deep supers on a pallet
I'm curious. What's the weight of that barrel when she's full?
Lee Hunter 700
👍👍
Wow never seen anything like it!!!
So how come he only drained half
I was wondering why do you only run half of the frames through the spining machine ? It looks like the rest just goes strait to and back into boxes...
How many bee hives are you running
Hello,
I love these processing !
From which manufactor is the wax press?
Greetings
Are wax moths an issue at a honey extraction facility like yours?
whats an average yield per hive?
What do you do with the wet frames? As far as winter storage and Wax moth prevention??
Mr C's Honeybees he freezes them for 24 hours in a huge reffer trailer then into cold storage
We use para-D.
Stored wet in a shed and semi trailers, the cold winter kills off wax moth
what is steam coming out of extractor? VERY nice operation BTW. (I'm a central Texas beekeeper on the other end of the totem pole)
Shower steamer to help pull the dry honey out
Perfect operation.
Honey, I'm home!
How long does the extractor run and does it reverse itself half way through?
Approx 8 minutes and it only spins the one way
Thanks Carrie
7:30 little guy catching a ride on a carousel as well as a free lunch.
Large-scale honey production is more interesting than I thought.
Ian what type of sealant do you use on your floor?
Do a video on walking honey now
Honestly curious why the hair net? How come he has one but she does not? Whats the point of wearing a hair net and not something to cover those hairy arms? lol just curious. Anyhow keep up the great videos!
Lol! I am wearing a new black hair net, I think Ian had a white one tucked away somewhere...
Where can I buy your honey?
So if you have 1200 hives that's crazy math 9 frame boxes each frame fully drawn comb it's crazy to think how you got to that point alone having that many frames fully drawn comb which begs to ask how long does a frame last you a full drawing comb and are you constantly working at having the Bees draw Newcomb?

Hi Ian, 3rd year Manitoba beekeeper here. You mentioned some honey starting to get solid in some of your frames same thing happened to me. Do you do anything to the frame or the bees fix it next year?

Ian did you get close to 400k lbs??
One Shoo no, dried out on me
Would you save more money by shipping your honey in larger totes rather than 55 gallon drums. Also do you ever sell your honey direct to the public. I would purchase some if you did. Cheers
Ian, what's your "wax strategy"? Recycling by yourself or selling further?
Sweet operations you have there :) Love that honey extraction line!
All my wax is sold
Greetings from Ukraine. Great job. How much honey do you get per day?
Александр Лысенко

Hello, can I visit your location?
Super
How about showing how you clean the facility when you're done extracting for the day? Shows what can be done with the right equipment and building.
Oh yeah!
How can I order a honey from your farm
Hero beekeeper
I think I pay too little for my honey at the market seeing all the labor that it takes.
So how did Carrie come to be your right hand man .
👍
I am gonna estimate the date .... 2 September 2019????? 😀🤠 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for sharing. Great video.
