Here's what no other knife manufacturer has done to date that Victorinox knocked out the park - they partnered with someone to show how to use their new knife in the field!
Sure, lots of other manufacturers get big knife maker names to help design their knives but the most you might see of that designer is them hawking it in a video or two.
But Felix here actually takes the time and effort to create videos showcasing how to use the knife for various things in the field.
That's priceless and Felix's recommendation alone has me wanting to purchase a Venture Pro and Pro Kit from Victorinox.
It's just enough bushcraft knife to handle all the common tasks and the extras in the sheath and pro kit not only help expand upon it but also help to maintain it. Just what you need to get the job done and nothing more that could weigh you down.

Felix you are the greatest, truly!! But now you've really done it LOL... you have no excuse now not to add that "Cheese and Crackers" table top attachment to your VERY cool portable "mono-leg" bushcraft chair. I'm thinking the hole 20mm thru the table top in the center of it where the single mono leg can protrude through, maybe? stops sliding down with simple handmade "cotter pin" or wooden "t". Anyways, I think that would be just amazing to let all campers, bush crafters etc..eat in luxury...be well!

ich freue mich sehr, dass Du ein Messer mitdesignen darfst/durftest. Ich habe es bereits getestet und bin sehr positiv überrascht, dass es so scharf geliefert wurde. BRUTAL! Der Sheath ist allerdings wirklich nicht des schweizer Logos würdig.
Leider kann ich gerade beobachten, wie eine Gegenfront zum Venture aufzieht. Teilweise ist das auch gut und hilft weiter. Der Typ, der 2Stück abgebrochen hat, obwohl du schon davor gewarnt hast usw. Bitte füttere nicht die Trolle und lass Dich nicht demotivieren. We love you!

Ja, die Scheide ist leider nicht so herausgekommen die der Prototyp. ich hoffe wir finden einen Weg wie Wir diese nachbessern können.

Great knife Felix! I am having a little trouble figuring out just how I could use the larger holes in a bushcraft setting. I guess I will have to wait until you open our eyes to this new benefit in an upcoming video. Can't wait! Thanks again for always thinking outside the box.

Great trick with the strap … I think I would do this even if they made the sheath fit tighter… I would be happy with either medium or tight fit sheath…

Great video again - I wasn' t aware of the different tips at flat drills.
Your trick to prevent the sheath from slipping off the blade while drilling is really helpful.
Would also help, if you turn around the knife, so that you're pullling on the spine - may also help against cutting through the sheath, if you drill a lot of holes with lots of force. I think, the blade might work its way through the sheath over time.
It's incredible, what you can achieve with nothing than a SAK, but you are right, with a sturdy fixed blade knife some things are much easier, especially, if it's as multifunctional and well thought out like the Venture Pro Kit.

For you US people, Chapman Mfg makes a nice little ratchet that would work as well it is only $8 (plus shipping of course) . The Bosch bits are available in the US (in inch sizes) as well.

Slight delay due to being out of stock, prob due to your presentations and excellent reviews. Another birthday present sorted for me. Normally use.a kukri (gift from Gurkha mate when I was discharged from mob) but people who don't understand it's a great field tool so this is a bit more low key for more public environments. I love hand tools - in the UK at car boot sales and the such there are often loads of historic bits for braces that cost pennies that that would work for this... But would need a hex to square grip converter! The old bits come in many shapes sizes and have different threads - course for softwood, fine for hardwood.
The auger you show has the double advantage that it can cut a 1" hole, but also cut the end of a branch to a 1" dowel too (but I am sure you knew this(!)).
A lock on the sheath would be nice too.

6:23 Oh yes, thanks for that hint!! Whenever you are grabbing your knife like this, really make sure that the sheath is stable and wont move at all! Cutting the inside of your hand or fingers is a very painful and annoying thing!!
