Fun fact: The Morrígan is a goddess from Irish Mythology. She symbolizes battle, strife, and sovereignty. She sometimes takes form as a crow, flying above warriors. Also, in the Ulster Cycle she also takes form of an eel, a wolf, and a cow. She is mostly considered a war deity comparable with the Germanic Valkyries, although her form as a cow may suggest a role connected with wealth and land.
I've read the Morrigan are also known of a triage of goddesses, and three is an auspicious number in both Celtic, Welsh, and Norse myths. She and/or her sisters, depending on the source I guess, are war goddesses that are connected to fate and destiny, much like the Valkyries and Norns. She lurks on battlefields to foretell death and I believe she is also spoken of as fierce and threatening, a terrific figure to any mortal or hero who comes across her.
Hail and bless the great Morrigan Hail and greetings to the Crone Hail and Greetings to the Queen of the Night Hail and all praise to the Old and Ancient One Hail and praise to She who is Magick She is the fear that coils around the heart She is the nightmare to those who do wrong The haunting of those who dare to cause harm She is the prophetess of fates She is the Queen of fairies and of Witches She is death , and a poets inspiration Hail and salute the Great Phantom Queen Hail and salute the Morrigan She who is three yet One She is the fury of battle She is the sword of freedom She is the Crow and raven who fIies overhead Hail and bless the Great Morrigan A toast of ale and offering of blood Hail and bless The Great Morrigan!
I presented your music to my class because we were finished taking our tests and the teacher asked what we wanted to hear or watch. Everyone loved your music, so now we listen to your music whenever we take tests. *We take alot of tests* :)
No matter what culture I identify with Morrighan is present in my life! I am Irish and Native American and realize how easily I can unite the two spiritually.
I see ALOT of similarities in ancient cultures, its like we both want the same thing but express and do it differently you know? The celts and shamanism for example there are soooooo many similarities, the cult to nature, the elements, the spirit guids, the animal guides even The Other World in Celt mythology is present in a diferent way in shamanism. It is beautifull really ❤
This is beautiful, thank you. So many people, if they have even heard of the Morrigan at all, simply liken her to Kali in Hindu, a Goddess of death and hatred. Nobody ever seems to recall that both are also Goddesses of birth, protectors of new born babes and innocents. People think of "The Circle of Life" and always associate it with a cartoon, never stopping to think that it goes on all around us every day. Your song was a beautiful depiction of a woman so strong that she can carry a spirit into the world and bear it away again, without ever being defeated by the sorrow that must bring.
Beautiful song! Morrigan is the Celtic goddess of war. She is associated with battle, strife, and sovereignty. She often changes and appears in the form of a crow. Celtic warriors often cried out with crow sounds to invoke her help during battles.
I discovered more about The Morrighan from a book I couldn’t avert my eyes from, “Feast of The Morrighan” . The book goes into more detail of who or what this goddess might’ve been, but there are still a lot of questions revolving such an elusive being
That picture is so very beautiful. I've always loved magpies even if people think they are just everyday birds without any glory... And this music, beautiful as always!
Enchanted scale of beauty untold, Tales define of a maiden so bold. Of powers shift of beastly wild, That leaves a path like childish mild. Attentive heart in sheep of cloth, Amongst the crowd in search of troth. And judge the man of wicked and greed, Shall imbue her wrath with countless deed.
Celtic's were pagan tribes known as demigods they were creators and their settlements were in north of Italy, Switzerland,Scandinavia,England,Ireland,Scotland,France,Iceland..
My last name is Aghemo, that come from Ghemme that come from a celtic people called Agamini = Agamium in latin. Inded, my family came from Piamonte (north of Italy) and there is a town named Ghemme. So, that come sense to me.
The Iberian Peninsula and Anatolian Peninsula too. In ancient Lusitania, part of present-day Spain and Portugal, a Celtic language was spoken even before the Celtic expansion of the 8th and 7th centuries B.C. Some philologists consider it to be a non-Celtic Indo-European language, while others consider that a branch apart from Celtic would be a sister language to Proto-Celtic, although with a close relationship to it. A minority current maintains that it is not a Celtic language but an Italic one. On the other hand, the Irish descend from the ancient settlers of what is now northern Spain. (not lusitanians)
Morrigan to była bogini kruków i śmierci. Bardzo lubię tą, postać, a słuchając twojej muzyki przychodzą mi na myśl różne historie( lubię sobie amatorsko pisać książki fantasy). Wspaniałe!

Thank you for taking the time to honor someone who as you most likely know, become such a powerful spiritual catalyst for millions of people around the world. One thing we can all agree on is that there is a special kind of energy that must be present to properly honor the Great Queen. You did a very good job at capturing that energy in some places. I like the HUAA thune or shouts..She is Champion !!!
Adrian, oh Adrian. Words they do not come. Your music is a language all of it's own. A gate way to amazing worlds. An escape from all that may trouble the soul. A ticket to freedom. A token of peace. A beautiful dedication to the Irish goddess of battle, strife, and fertility. Her name translates as Phantom Queen. She helped defeat the Firbolgs at the First Battle of Magh Tuireadh and the Fomorii at the Second Battle of Mag Tured.

It's so fun playing The Morrigan in Smite. This song is so awesome.
You are on your way to battle. One man comes running towards you and says frightent.

Congratulations on Your 300th video ! I am very happy for You,Adrian ! :)
I have a feeling that this music is really helping people get through very harsh times😮😃
Isn't Morrigan the Irish Goddess of War?
Yes ^-^
Phillip Verano Yes. She would've appeared as a crow, wolf or cow. She is similar to the Germanic Valkyries in that she waits to take fallen warriors to the Otherworld. And the name translates to ''Phantom Queen.''
Deaglan Cullen She's badass is what she is. I would love to see this Lass go against Ares, The Greek God of War.
Phillip Verano She sure is.
+Phillip “The Great White” Verano Yes and the celts were animists meaning they attributed spiritual progress to the animate and inanimate world. I think that these mythos are something that are meant to transcend time. The call of the morrigan is a shamanic practice for you not need her to be a literal god to use her metaphor.
Adrian, so much good has happened to you. You're getting married and still raising that mark of excellent music. I tip my hat to you, Mr. Von Ziegler.
I thought at first this would be a cover of Morrigan by Omnia, but I actually like this a lot better...
Same! I was also a little confused by the title. Still, Omnia's Morrigan is awesome, too!
Oh, thank you! Although I don't know Omnia, but I'm flattered nonetheless. xD Just a btw, I never make cover songs, so that's something you can definitely expect to never appear on my channel.^^
You should look them up theyre a pagan celtic/folk band.
AdrianvonZiegler I actually thought Omnia could have been an inspiration for your work. I am surprised you actually haven't heard of them.
Keep up the good work!
(Offtopic: Am I the only one who thinks of Dragon Age at this moment?)
I actually heard Heather Dale's Morrigan first, then this, then Omnia's. I love how different the three interpretations of the goddess is - it would also be super cool to see Adrian's take on Cernunnos.
She's so much more than just war.
"Well, well... What have we here?"
Gotcha right there dude 👌
Swooping is bad...
The celtic goddess of war n death that's who
I can't read this sentence without Morrigan's sound in my head.

A beautiful dedication to the Irish goddess of battle, strife, and fertility. Her name translates as Phantom Queen. She helped defeat the Firbolgs at the First Battle of Magh Tuireadh and the Fomorii at the Second Battle of Mag Tured.
