27:30 Answer to Q. 31 : Guild Socialism traces its origin to British labour movement as opposed to Syndicanism which emerged in French labour movement which was bit violent in nature. In mediaeval times Guilds used to be economic intrest based organisation representing various economic interests (different from Syndicate whose members were only workers). Guild Socialism is advocated by GDH Cole who calls for democratic industrial management by giving more representation/ participation to workers in industrial management. Besides this he also avocates functional parliament which would reflect economic interest of masses. Guild Socialism is called as midway house between Fabianism (Parliamentary road to Socialism) and Syndicanism. Because like fabianism they advocate peaceful methods but like Syndicanism they also believe in primacy of economic interests.
