The Expertise System is a progression feature in The Division 2 that allows you to improve the maximum performance of high-end or better quality items. It is a long-term progression system that is designed to reward players for continuing to play the game.
To use the Expertise System, you must first become proficient with an item. To do this, you must earn kill experience points (XP) with the item equipped. Once you have reached Proficiency Rank 10 with an item, you are considered "proficient" with that item.
Once you are proficient with an item, you can increase its expertise level by donating items of the same type. The higher your expertise level, the more you can upgrade your items.
To increase your expertise level, you must go to the Recalibration Station and select the Expertise tab. Then, select the gear category that you want to increase your expertise in. You can then donate items of the same type to increase your expertise level.
Each expertise level increases the maximum performance of your items by 1%. For example, if you have an expertise level of 10, you can increase the maximum performance of your items by 10%.
The Expertise System is a great way to improve your gear and make your character more powerful. It is a long-term progression system, but it is worth the effort. With a little effort you can easily increase your character's performance.

After Shade level 1000 You start gaining Scavenging points only... During the 1000 levels you gain 200 Points on top of that. So if you are 1300 You got 500 Points in scavenging.
Okay cool so I did calculate it correctly
i see that new players do not understand :
Once you finish last NY mission and you get Keener watch, you will have 4 groups of upgrades in watch.
All the shd points you will make till 800 will go in watch upgrades automatic...you can't use them for something else.
Each group will eat 200shd points.
So if your shd lvl is 800, the return of points to use for optimization stuff will be ZERO...a big nada.
That's why is not efficient for low shd lvl chars to run NY, till you are 1200 = minus 800 = you will recive 400 shd points to use them how you want!
Personal my shd lvl is 9993 [soon 10.000] but i did 2 runs and got bored to death, my expertise is 22 after 1 year...and i just donate what i could when i remind of that.
I just have fun making weird builds and test them, or roll-playing chars.
Having fun with the game is more important than competitive side.
I do go sometimes in DZ, and sure i get killed by 25 expertise rogues....but when i slap them in the face with my weapons at 17 i feel a lot of satisfaction .
In 4 years i never play Conflict and i do not intend to do, i played Descent to get the rifle and bye bye that garbage mod.
They say that Nemesis is a copy of your build, than how come they do way more dmg and have way more armor and health????
Their cheating, and this need to be solved by anticheat team??!!! lol
If you send me in there to fight in bikinies buttnaked like braveheart, at least make it fair play and give the enemies the same armor/dmg/health....
If not, you wasted time to develop a mod that is not fun at all....and wasted our time.
Till i made those 350 points, i forgot my academic education, and my toughs about their soup well... let say they where very profane.
This game could have been great if devs will play their own game and did not forgot on what franchise their working... TOM CLANCY!!!!

Since credits don’t share across characters, it’s better to buy printer filaments. If a player buys credits, they’d have to stay on that new character to use them. That just takes too much time. When I run WONY again, I use 999 points (max possible) for filaments and put the rest on SHD Cal and Field Recon Data as those will be needed to upgrade weapons and gear. And those 2 are the ones we get the least of for playing. Then, only buy shared matl’s (not BP’s) before deleting this character. But, use up all credits on this character too first. I usually buy pistols and crush for receiver components.

@@monalisa-bs4zs It’s 999 “points” from your watch you can buy “printer filaments” with (since that would leave 9 filaments from max). Except you need to account for any printer filaments you have so, it may be less points until your at the max of 9999. Here you have 2 options. Either use up all and use remaining watch points for more (if you want to keep this character to collect more scavenging points on this watch) OR, use remaining points to buy as I suggested in my first comment, then delete character. Hope that clears things up. I’m going to keep until I want to do another WONY run because 4th watch.

Hey King, Just wondering. It appears you created a skill build (like I did) for any WONY run. I did a 3 Empress, 1 Wyvern w/Memento, Capacitor and Fenris. What gear set did you use? And is that the NinjaBike backpack? What’s the dirty on your build? Thanks in advance.
I didn’t run any sets I just loaded up and ran though it from using loot drops
@@AKingsCreation Interesting. I followed another content creators video. Created a new character and get to White House. Boost to 30 (staying in DC). Bought shared BP’s and resources. You have to sell a few surplus items for some cash. Then craft a skill build like I mentioned. Reconfigured lvl 40 Capacitor and Memento to lvl 30. This gives you a build capable of all WONY content without help (it kicks ass). Take that build and put in stash. Delete character. Make new one and boost to NY, pull build out of stash and you’re ready to rock. When it comes down to Keener, you’re already at lvl 40 so you can enhance your build with 40 gear. When done, throw that build back in stash for next time.

I forgot the exact math but using watch points for credits and then buying cheap mods yields you more printer filament than using the watch points for straight filament. Yea it takes a bit longer to crush all the mods but the output is worth it.

Best way is to start new character then when you reach Whitehouse, you can upgrade to level 30 , buy te blueprints then go newyork, do till 40 and deconstruct everything you get from 31 to 39, as its shared so you get more recourses. Then do the stuff whats shown in video.
Am level 1100 so havent done this stuff yet so maybe wrong.

Your way is good for putting together a level 31 build in NY (or, even a level 31 to 39 build, as I did), but otherwise it's way better to buy the shared material blueprint AFTER WoNY as any mats you get during the WoNY campaign will EXCEED any limit caps you're near/at when you buy the blueprint upon returning to DC.

Ok I'm confused. I'm level 250 and have only created one character. Should I stop playing with my original character and start a new one? I did purchase the share between characters blueprint but that's all I've done. If I start a new character should I be saving things or just play thru like a normal run? Any help is much appreciated.👍
No play your main till about 1000-1250 SHD and then start your next

Are you level 250 in a level 30 campaign then finish the campaign and go to newyork then reac shd 1000 and then do this,
and if shd level 250 ten wait to till you get 1000 plus.
I do countdown with gear mods as target loot and deconstruct the lot as I go.

You wouldn't have to deconstruct mods since Project Resolve. If you buy the exact same Skill Mod repeatedly it automatically breaks it down for you. Using SHD points for printer filament is a waste you're cheating yourself out of printer filament. 1 SHD point is 10 PF? Whereas deconstructing 2 Skill Mods is 12 PF. Use the SHD points for currency to buy mods that will automatically breakdown as long as the are for Skills. Its a tedious process either way but better to pinch everything you can from each point.
im shd level 3855 and i completely forgot about the way you can donate materials to level up items so would i be good to start a new character and run it to get the watch then what do i do when i get the watch?.

Everything is conditional. There are target points for expertise. weapons: level a is 14, level b is 20, level c is 24/25. Specialisation: level a is 8, level b is 14, level c is 24. Skills: level a is 10, level b is 17, level c is 24. Gear: level a is 11, level b is 18, level c is 24. You only need to expertise to target levels to start, a first, b second, c third.

Most people erroneously think they need to get everything , all four types to 24, or now 25, ASAP. Frankly, the best method is to level to 14 first, which doesnt involve applying the expertise to those four types by using many exotics, like it used to. The sweet spot for WONy is 2700-5400 SHD levels (requires fewer WONY runs to Max expertise to 14 / 20 / 24 ). You're further ahead in the long run if you do WONY on 3 empty characters and then grind during events. I went from 2800 to 5000 over 4 weeks, which involved the golden bullet and the event preceding it. That gave me 8800 SHD to convert.

That's right. This applies to both the expertise station AND your builds. Build level is constrained by the station total level - you're not gaining anything by dumping resources into weapons first if everything else is lagging behind. If you look at the Levels A B C, you'll see that a Global level of 14 makes all 4 target points across categories attainable - there isn't much gain boosting specialisation/skills/gear above their targets of 8, 10, 11 with a level 14 weapon - so when you raise the global to 15, feed your weapon first.
For builds if you have to prioritize, select skills are first priority (yup), then weapons , then gear, then specialization. Of course you can do a bit or each at a time, depending on the resources you have, using the tinkering portable. But don't raise things until you know the build(s) you want to focus on - if you're not going to be a healer its ridiculous to spec into any future initiative or two healing skills. Remember that finding god-rolls takes time, but using intermediate pieces meanwhile w/o leveling is better while you work towards the goal. @@n.t.inazerith564

If I keep my alts, do they get SHD levels while I level my main? So I could spend points over and over again? Or is it locked to the point where I first hit the end of NY leveling?
Nope when you level up your main you also level up your other characters at the same time
Im stuck with leveling skills. Its taking forever. Currently at 3k shd and 16 expertise. Any tips to lvl the skills faster?
Run a new character, buy the shared blueprints, use printer filaments and donate it to the skills to make them proficient
So do I max out the proficient rank first before I put expertise cause I can’t donate or lev it up anymore so did I mess up cause I’m still trying to figure it out??
You have to get all your proficiency rank to the max before you start your expertise

You gotta keep proficiency every weapon to increase your expertise then donate material requirements for each item you want to expertise
The downside with the credits on the new character is that it's not sharable between the other characters

once you buy the special upgrade from that lady near tech table, it will all shared in between all your 3-4 chars.
@@graphosencrenoir4006Actually, you are incorrect. In order for shared BP and Mat’ls to be across all characters, each one must buy the shared BP’s and Mat’l. There is no reason to buy this with original character, only additional ones.
Great vid brother, first bit of good ol' constructivisms try and work on your volume mixing. Music can either go way down or not exist TBH. Also invest in a pop filter not even 10 bucks, as well as tune your mics volume so youre not peaking on your mic like you are here. Other than that well done, people an tolerate a video thats not 4k 60fps, most will not tolerate mediocre video quality as well as inconsistenant volume levels.
Remember i can always squint or use my imagination for what i cant see. I can never turn my ears up or down without having to physically manage my own volume levels which is rather frustrating for most people trying to watch a vid to learn something.
Yeah my volume mixing is definitely a work in progress all the stuff you mentioned about the pop filter is already on the mic. The music volume seems to always be loud so then I try to make it the lowest possible volume and then raise my voice mic. Not really sure what’s happening. I personally like music so I include it in my videos I just wish I could figure out why each song I include is louder in the editing software than my mic… then I pulled back from my mic but seems to be still be loud either because I’m loud or I may have made the volume too loud on obs.

Yeah usually but you can keep it until you do another new character because as you level your main you also level that character too so if you have 4 characters you basically have 4 SHD points per level up

I found it wasn't worth doing until i hit around 2500 shd because of that 800 loss.
Am having to do it all over again on PS but this time i have a maxed out lvl30 skill build with lvl 40 mods. Running drone and seekers i can solo to 40 in under 3hrs. Sometimes I'll matchmake just to use people for their xp boost and bonus armour🤣

The TU20 patch notes says that a level 30 character should not be able to use level 40 mods, is that correct now or is your level 30 character still able to use level 40 mods?

@@AKingsCreation thank u brother I appreciate u , I want to ask you about something I was playing count down and one of my teammates did something or maybe his build I started hit damge 1.2 million suddenly my build is strike normally the highest damge I did was 500k - 700k do u know what was it the skill or the build ?
The countdown features 3 perks/buffs on rotation every match so what happened was you probably got the increase damage buffs. You can tell by when the crates are activated at the beginning when you rotate to fight each hunter

you don't have the problem of sitting there and buying skill mods and then having to turn them into printer filaments. I f you find a Skill mod on one of the vendors at the lowest price of 4515 buy them after the first one you buy each one after that is automatically turned into printer filaments now.

lol yeah. Luckily for me I knew what I was talking about the -800 part the rest of the math just bases on whatever level you start from which I mentioned 1300 and said between 300-500 SHD points which is accurate

Sure but that’s super slow than getting for example 2,675 SHD points in 5 hours on one new character playthrough compared to 27 hours of nonstop grinding targeted mods
this video was helpful as considering things i didn't understand about expertise. ive been gaining expertise mainly from setting up different builds with 0 expertise level & thus gaining the experience manually.
i didn't know printer filaments could be used to increase expertise levels & my filaments are almost always full. im always scrapping mods i find while playing, though honestly, i have no problem with getting filaments the same way i always do.
just in my opinion as based on my play style, i think its a waste of points to buy filaments just to increase expertise level. but thats just the kind of gamer i am, im not a "follow the crowd" type of gamer, i wont play the same way which the majority of people do.
so many people copy the methods of others, i know, its a common thing for people to desire being original or unique, problem is... people try so hard & its become such a "trend" for people to focus on being original/unique that they conform to the "norm", that being, whatever has become common practice & is thus considered to be normal within each lifestyle choice.
but generally, people prefer convenience over originality & conformity over division, such as to be "divided" or otherwise noticeably unique/separated from the normality of mainstream thinking, such as the mainstream thinking of the age were in, which is to focus our efforts towards defining ourselves by conforming to whichever mainstream group which appeals to our overall perception of what we consider to be acceptable.
evensomuch as to appeal to the breakdown of the moral & idealistic lines we have set in our own hearts & minds. what is right & wrong? so often, where people draw the lines in life, is where they draw the lines in their lifestyle choices all the same.
in the gaming world, it is common for people to search out the most convenient methods: the most efficient - there are those who find the most efficient ways & then those who follow & copy the most efficient ways. as well as those who seek out the most "god like" methods, generally for people who seek to be powerful in an alternative world, because they cannot attain such power in the real world & it "helps" to boost their ego (in general) evensomuch to think themselves better than other gamers, & yet in most cases their ego is boosted by an idea that was never theirs to begin with, they had to copy someone else & maybe try to put their own little twist on it & try to claim it as their own.
it is all the same, common practice, for the majority of people not to consider & so recognize how their way of thinking has been influenced by the ways of this world, therefore so many do not realize that they have infact conformed & thus submitted themselves to being brainwashed.
the spiritually deceptive way of the world, is to keep people focused on the physical: the outer shell, the facade, to stay focused on the surface, which makes it easy to cause people to conform & submit to being brainwashed without realizing whats happening... because its a spiritual matter, it is opposed to or opposite to the physical.
our common way is to overlook spiritual matters. we let things creep into our hearts & minds, things some people say are wrong, because they understand there is something spiritual wrong with it. but if we focus on the physical, we prefer to think & say its not that bad, because we have no spiritual understanding.
the unsaved life is a constant battle between spiritual truth & spiritual deception, but as long as we continue without salvation, spiritual deception is likely to take us unto our own destruction, just as God makes clear in his word.
no Christian is perfect & there are many false Christians in the world who are horrible representations for Jesus, as they only continue to demonstrate the way people of the world live.
why do we distract ourselves with games? why do we put so much of our time & effort into the games we play?
many who embrace the gaming lifestyle, do so, because the reality of life is something they don't want to face, most especially, the reality of the spiritual battles which we don't know how to face.
God wants us all to know there is an answer, He wants to helps us, infact, He teaches through His word that He wants the best things for us. the purpose by which God gave us His word is that we may know who He is, that He is a real person, He is the One True Living God.
the most important thing is: He wants us to know how much He loves us, so much that He was born into this world as the Son Jesus Christ, 100% human & 100% God, & He did so for the purpose of dying for our sins, in our place, so that we wouldn't have to go to hell when we die.
for the Bible says that all have sinned & come short of the glory of God. we are ALL sinners, & because of our sin we have offended a Holy Righteous God. He doesn't hate sinners, He hates sin, He hates that sin keeps us away from him. sin causes us to bring pain & suffering upon ourselves & those around us.
when we sin, our sin isn't ours alone, we sin against God & our sin doesn't only affect us but those around us as well, thus the reason our world is full of corruption, full of pain & suffering & death, & just the same, full of selfish & high-minded people, prideful & stubborn people, judgmental & hateful people, because they live their lives without giving regard to God & without regard to the truth of His word.
to receive salvation, one must pray & speak with Jesus as to state that they realize & admit that they understand from His word, that they are sinners & are in need of a saviour, to save them from the penalty of hell. & that they understand from Gods word, that Jesus died for our sins, was buried & rose again, that He defeated death & payed that price for our sins. than ask Jesus to be our Saviour & accept Him into our hearts.
thats all it takes, & if you are truly genuine & honest with God, once you receive salvation, you can NEVER lose your salvation, God makes this clear in His word, that is, in HIS VERSION of the Bible, which the english translated version from the Hebrew Texts is the King James Bible.
God has given me an understanding of how this world works, i try to use that understanding to be helpful to others, that i might be used of God to reach those who are without truth, but might be seeking for truth or for help for one reason or another.
even if they do not respond to my attempt to reach them Or even if they have a negative, or sarcastic, or prideful response to my attempt. i have no fear of being judged by man, only how i would be judged by God if i were to make no attempt at all to reach those who are in need of truth.
i hope this will be something that will be helpful to you, even if you might not take it seriously at first, if there comes a time when you need an answer but cannot find out, maybe you will remember this & thus remember: Gods word has the answer, just as Jesus Himself IS the answer.
I wouldn’t recommend this. Going thru the warlords mission is annoying AF. And actually can be frustrating depending upon the gear you get. You are better served to just run open world activities with 5 directives on on challenging level. And just keep resetting. Plus you’ll get better loot to deconstruct for mats.
I don't know. When they changed the expertise levels, I was able to go from expertise 16 to 25 in around 3 days at most(with breaks being involved and only doing 1 a day, maybe two). 4 warlords agents with 3ish hours for each. Granted I'm around 8000+ shd so I get a lot of points but Warlords is way more efficient if you're a high enough level. Either way doing the missions or the activities constantly will get boring, but at least it goes quickly with Warlords, especially if you have a group to do with it with(I did 99% of it solo).
Exactly, warlords is the best way…but there are players who don’t like the fastest methods sometimes and want to take the slow route cause it’s comfortable for them
