I have The World in a Skillet and the Vegetables book and im getting the 2024 one for Christmas, i love the recipes and i love the show..... Happy Thanksgiving
Keep making your great food; but I won't be your click bait any longer. You put these videos on without actual recipe ingredients and then we have to join your site to see the ingredients. I realize this is a business, but I realize that throwing a true recipe towards viewers might be better business than teasing them. Oh well, I wish you the best.
The interesting part to me was how he assembled the cake. I see your point but at the same time it wouldn't be that hard to reconstruct this recipe. He says he's using 1 cup of flour and you can see him adding 1/2 cup of milk and 3 eggs, then adding what looks like about 2 tablespoons of butter. Around 1/2 cup of sugar etc. It's basically just a runny cake batter that's pretty generic.
I guess he wants you to pay for the full recipe, but if you watch the video closely you can get the ingredients and approximate amounts, and he does show how to mix, make and bake it.

I wonder if one could put caramel on the bottom (like a flan), then serve it flipped? Something to try after making this.
I think it would burn with such a long baking time with no water bath
You could also try a mixture of cream and brown sugar
I think it will burn. Instead, drizzle some caramel in the plate, before you put the slice on. Then put a small dab of whipped cream on the side.
This looks so good!
FYI apple slices are 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) MAX thickness
That's a big yes❤
Link for the mandolin?????
Benriner Japanese mandoline
@MariMari-er9ro No I don't think that is it.
Any good mandolin will suffice.

Bruh stop whining and learn how to cook without a "recipe" lmao
No, the best is Deb Perlman's Mom's apple cake.
The recipe is incomplete. It only lists apples and flour as ingredients. Missing directions also.

Recipes aren't real just make whatever you want
