I hate when they change the Paderewsky lyric -it's like telling your audience, "we know you're too dumb to get a 20th century reference, so we'll dumb it down for you so you don't have to take a trolley across town to the library and look it up" (oh, that's right, everyone has a smart phone today - even more reason not to change it).
um what did I just hear? By the 15th bar the opera voice is back. I'd rather she goes all the way consistently. And there's nothing baby about that grand. that's the full grand. Love Didonato for trying though. I'm not sure how i feel about this.
DiDonato is phenomenal. I been following her talent for years.
What great FUN and good humor! LOve iT!
Superb and moving - to the stars!
I love this, can't wait for the entire album to come out
This lady is incredible - such a pure voice. Marry me please. 😊
I love this version! Quite possibly the best version of this song on UA-cam (Michael Feinstein's version is pretty good too... tough call)
Piace piano e voce bella... I like piano and nice voice... thanks... grazie...
By Irving Berlin. Doesn't anyone credit composers anymore?
Must be a lost art.
Thank You. I was looking for the composer
❤️Maestro Pappano!
Wonderful - just about to attempt the song myself in a concert - ahem!!!
Well done! Bravo!
I love Joyce !
cool....charming///love the Chopin interludes.....
Esto esta muy pero que muy bien!!!
maestro bravissimo
Great!
This is an embellishment of a 1915 song by Irving Berlin. But it's wonderful. Great performances.
What does he say at 1:46?
+Greg V O listen to that.
He says "Gilhooly listen to that". John Gilhooly is the director of the Wigmore Hall where they played the concert.
Never seen Pappano play a piano before
cool

Chillax! It was for fun. Joyce don't care, either. Promise.
Beh, Sempre meglio qui che in Rossini.
Se proprio bisogna scegliere...
Great!
