I congratulate you my friend and i am glad that you visited Ankara. Most of the people doesn't know about Ankara. Actually it is pretty nice city. Only problem is extremely cold weather during winter.
Your accent is so cute when you say the words in Turkish especially simit 😃😃👌
Thank you for sharing Jason. As a Turkish, who lives in UK currently, is nice to watch your experience in Turkey. However thank you for being kind and respectful to my culture. Have a nice travelling!

Thank you so much for taking us to Ankara coz I don't know whether I could ever know this beautiful place, you are so blessed to have toured there...one day I will too
By the way that wasn't milk you looked at.. milk is called 'Süt'. You were looking at 'Ayran' which is a salty yogurt drink haha:)
Yeah thats true:)
So I was not the only one to mix them up
My sister once poured it on her corn flakes 😂😂 it was disgusting
I love how respectful you are
Damn dude, im explore to you today. And im living in Ankara, i liked your videos about my country. Aaandd if you come back to Ankara and if you need anything i can help you, dont worry about it. My English isnt best sorry. I hope you enjoy see you later, take care and have fun!

9.25 is not milk it is ayran. A turkish drink.
What's the difference between the two
@@whatsinmymind5942 Ayran is diluted milk with a bit of salt.
@-Hyper roughly the same thing but you get the idea
Thank you Jason for your video! Lots of helpful information. It's easy to convert Turkish lira to Canadian dollars because 4 TL = 1 CAD so all I have to do is divide by four. Thank you for filming, commenting, editing, adding online titles and downloading! Great video! Thumbs up!
Again Jason you are the BEST travel blogger on youtube. No bullshit, no stupid drones. You travel where I would like to be in the way I hope to go. Thank you ! keep it up
Thanks :)
I really love Turkey, I only came twice, but now i'm learning Turkish to explore more about this amazing country.
and also Georgia, Tbilisi is really beautiful place , you should visit
That white drink you've seen in the supermarket is called Ayran :') you generally drink it while eating food (Doner...etc). I absolutely loved it! it's quite similar to a drink we have here in Algeria but the texture is different
Hi
Loved your videos man 💖
And yes "pasta" means cake in Turkish ;)
Jason, your youtube channel popped up as I was looking for information on Turkey and places around to have an overview of what to expect when I travel there next year for the summer.
I do have plans to visit Istanbul, Bodrum, Mersin- Adana, and if lucky far east in Gaziantep. Also, I would like to stay with a family to experience the culture but I couldn't have found a place so Airbnb might be the way to go
any recommendation on budgeting for 22 days.... all the best from Panama
9:26 its not milk its ayran its made from yogurt. and yogurt made from milk. we can say ayran made from milk. but its not milk. milk costs 3.50 ₺
ayran is salty yogurt with water but its taste good for a lot of turkish people. and i like it too (with lahmacun)
Wow excellent video I was planing to travel to Ankara to attend the university but pandemic ruined my whole plans so maybe next year hopefully God's willing keep up the good work
I'm enjoying the journey... Can't wait for the next one... Stay safe
Glad to hear it, thanks!
I think you enjoyed Ankara. Tirana is prettier, well some of it is😊. Really enjoy your videos. Be happy.🇦🇱
Hey Jason, loved this video! I liked how you explained the whole menue card. (P.S. pasta means cake in turkish)
Glad to hear it :)
Videoyu yabancilardan cok turklerin izlemesi
5:21 2,50 Turkish lira per 3 this means 1 Simit = 0,83 Turkish Lira :)
you should visit Istanbul or black Sea Region too.
Ankara is my hometown, so i feel what home means every inches of it. However, kızılay is more cheaper and a bit dirty part of the city. You could visit tunalı hilmi.. that part is way modern than kızılay. Goverment is changing the kızılay’s view..
Well than, u make a vid about it
I love how you say “simit” 😂
In Turkey the menemen and simit plate and çay is expensive for us
Thanks Jason very informative video
Oh I wish I found this channel a month ago, I could've shown you some hidden gems in Ankara. Hope you come back to the city eventhough it is not the best to revisit in Turkey. have fun on your travels!~
I wsnt a job in turkey
Could you please share sole of the gems? I might go on na exchange to Ankara so i'm curious :D
That's the cutest style I ever heard someone pronounce Simit - Schmitt 😁
Im going there next month and this was very helpful
there is an excellent country living in Turkey especially in the summer are very lucky♥️♥️
Welcome to Turkey, please keep in touch if you want to come Istanbul!
Good video bro. You are welcome in turkey :) Have fun :)
your videos are so helpful!
Of course its not pasta:) But pasta in turkish, means cake. And pasta in your language, 'makarna' for us.
Lol nice, pasta is called Mekronni in pashto.
I'm surprised no1 bullied u in the comments in the past 4 years for rebranding Simit as shmitler. rlly enjoy ur videos btw., keep it up
hi jason...its very cheap...and i love turkey so much and i really love the way your explanations.

Great vlog as always Jason, but I would like to point out that when showing restaurant menus that it would be nice if you could show more dishes that are non-vegetarian.
Loved your video in my fav city
Why
Loved ur videos man!!!!
Ne güzel adamların parası her yerde değerli...Yaklaşık 7 kat...Biz İngiltereye gitsek işimiz zor..
nice videos but you missed a big part of Ankara. Places like Tunalı, Bahçeli, Gaziosmanpaşa are more beautiful and more fit for teenagers.
I've lived in Ankara for 24 years but I'm from Yorkshire UK, not the friendliest city in the world and not the prettiest too its cheap for foreigners but for Turkish people, food is expensive and everything else!
Thank you for this super useful video :)
Why? Why didn't I discover your videos sooner? Why weren't you my guest when you came to Ankara? Or Capadoccia? Or Antalya?
First like ..first comment ...so I need a heart...love u so much...
9:25 it's Ayran, not Milk. :-)
Joghurt, Water, Salt
Hi how are you? by the way the restaurant you've just entered for lunch wasn't Türkish, it was absolutely syrian
mmmmmm I remember i ate a baklava in The Baklavaci Hacibaba salon in Ankara ..Sooo delicious.....You reminded me now)))) watching your video is very pleasantly ...Handsome man )))
Omg.Jason in Turkey?Welcome❤👋🏻
Every time you said Schmitt, instead of simit Dwight Schrute pictures on my mind :D
But jason you have gone to average expensive places in these places. you could have gone to slightly cheaper places or you could have bought the schmit from street sellers, it's around 1,25 liras which is in pound, almost nothing. but we as citizens of this country, here is extremely expensive but we used to happy and wealthier than current, anyways. have nice trip btw.
Hey there. Wanted to ask this. Which is better for an expatriate to love & work in... Ankara or Istanbul?
question : can you have the option to pay in either GBP when eating foods at shops and drinks? The prices are unbelievably cheap converting into GBP today!
You should take buses while you in Ankara as a tourist. It costs same with metro. Metro Ankara is unfinished project. We hope it will be completed someday.
I like your videos. I watched every one of them. Visiting Ankara is the last thing the tourists would do in Turkey. Generally they came Istanbul, two days stayed there and then flight to Antalya, Bodrum or Cesme. I suggest you visit Canakkale(Dardanelle) and Gelibolu(Gallipoli).
Thank you.Enjoyed your video.
Turkey is so cheap and amazing.
These videos are so helpful
Hey, could you tell me how much a small clean hotel will cost me in Ankara not too far from the city centre?
I recommend you to visit istanbul, izmir, antalya, trabzon. Our capital is a little boring. Just state’s stuff u know

Your voice is jst awesome, love from Bangladesh 😍😍😍
What is the best time to spend in 🇹🇷?
what was the conversion app you used at the start of the video called?
You have to think like 1₺ = 1€ for a Turkish person. We are going in a crazy economical inflation-situation these days, minimum wage is 2000₺, unemployment rates skyrocketed (around 15% !), food prices doubles each year bla bla bla...(I can write 40 pages long "what's going wrong on Turkey" lol) Sadly it is not a cheap place for us.:(
