i don't know why your travel videos aren't more popular. This was a fantastic excursion up the mountain and probably the only way i will ever get to experience it. i love that you are experiencing all these marvels and especially that you have someone you love to experience them with you. Buddha is certainly smiling upon you.
I’m surprised they don’t do better but I’ve grown to accept it. It just makes them more for me and my loved ones than the average viewer. I’m definitely lucky to be having many of these experiences.
It’s a shame more people don’t know about it. I wanted to show how cool the whole area was to try to get more people to check it out. There’s not many English speaking blogs about it either.
Those are absolutely crepes my good friend, they’re just savory as opposed to sweet and fruity like they have in the States. Cool video PJ! Hope to see you soon…👨🏽🍳
Great adventure Pete and Koi? I lost my first comment due to my connectivity. Really enjoyed but was hoping to see the Buddha footprint, yet as you say, respect for the area. Quite the ride pickup bed style, was thinking downhill would be "hairy" as we used to say in AZ, USA back in the day. You two seem so happy together, it pisses me off! 555 kidding. Am not looking for or want to live with a girlfriend, It's all good, Peace and Love Y'all, Thank you
The footprint(s) was a very busy area. We went and bowed down for a round of prayers right next to it and then moved to allow the next batch of people to have their turn. I really try not to film people when they’re praying. I wasn’t looking for a girlfriend either but the right woman appeared so I had to say yes.
New subscriber here. I was sent your way by Retiring To Asia. I had commented about board games being my main hobby and how i was looking at the board game scene in various areas (from afar) so I could find a suitable place to move in about 15 or so months. Loved this video and I am definitely putting this place only map of things to see!!
Welcome to the channel! Pattaya has 2 board game cafes that I know of. Castle of Games is Thai owned with international customers (Thai, Chinese, German, Russian and various English speaking countries). They have an English chat group and the owners are awesome. Great selection of games too. The other cafe is Mr Foxx’s but I still haven’t been there yet. Lastly, I run D&D weekly and there’s a Pattaya D&D Facebook group. Shout out to Retiring to Asia ua-cam.com/video/QMJMiSsZg6I/v-deo.htmlsi=Qa42z8yr2rVpxIKI
Nice to see another person highlighting this place. Another place with serious overtones for this great countries beliefs and friendly outlook to others. I was just wondering what your wish was and looking at your company have a shrewd idea ;) Keep going Pete - advance - no retreat!!!
Wonderful video! It looks like a fabulous adventure. I’m so glad you got to go, and that you both survived those pickup truck rides! Why is it only open two months of the year? Is it weather related?
It must be weather related… it took awhile to finally find an article that said that’s the only time of the year that the roads are passable. During those 2 months it’s open 24 hours a day and many people go at night. I think I want to do a night time hike next year.
Nice ! That ride up...seems like it's "pick a lane" either side. But, what a cool lil adventure with your lady. Stoked for ya, Pete ! See ya soon, I hope. It's no longer "my plan", but the plan of something or someone with a will as strong as mine. It'll all make sense when I get there. Keep up the good work...we all need you here. 🤘😘💨💨➡️🇹🇭
I was reading that the lanes intentionally switch in places to make it safer… driving on the left list of the time but putting the down on the right to prevent going over the edge in places. You have options Matt and most of them are out here!
That makes sense @peteonretreat2023 options...I know. I remember your video. That was a major influence in my decision 🤘😘💨💨➡️🇹🇭 moto cross races...gotta go !
Your lucky mate. My missus would never make this effort. Its the only thing that shits me about her. If we travel its only cities, restaurants, roof top bars and beach. No national parks, jungle or mountain adventure. Killed our krabi trip in all honesty
Aw, that is a bummer. I’d be ok if my partner wasn’t adventurous but she’d have to understand and let me still do these things on my own or with friends.
Thanks for watching!

Amazing! Quite the experience, especially enhanced by having a native with you!
I very special trip for us both. I feel lucky to have gone.
You two look like you belong together. So happy for you!
I believe we are… at least for now, if not forever

Good job. For what is worth, I like your travel videos!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Even if they don’t do well, I’m happy I’ll have them to look back on in the years to come
Great vid, I'd like to see that place on my next visit, but oh those stairs!
My legs weren’t sure until about 70% of the way back down 😅
I’ll definitely train for it next year!
Thanks for taking us on your journey 🎉👍👌
Thanks for joining us! (and leaving a comment too!)
Pete, this looks like a fantastic trip. thank you for sharing. This is definitely on my to do list for next February and March.
You’re welcome! Maybe we can coordinate and hang out in Chantaburi. 🤔
@@peteonretreat2023 I would be thrilled more than you know
Whoa! Loving the crepe guys shirt!
Way to get my to go back and watch my video again! 😂
Fun trip Pete! Thanks for showing us! Will put it on my list when I come visit!

I love these excursion videos bro, I add them to my "things to do in Pattaya" list since we've only been here since November.
I’d say this was my favorite road trip overall so far but they’ve all been a blast!
Great video Pete. Looks like paradise. Get it!!!!✔️
Thanks Mike. There’s so many cool and beautiful places out here.

Leave it to the chef to set me straight! They were definitely savory… and now I want one!
They just seem to be folded differently. And, of course, often have Thai ingredients.
Wonderful vlog, so very interesting , thank you
You’re very welcome. Thanks for the comment 🙏🏼
Great travel blog.
Thank you 🙏🏼 😃

I had to rewind and double-check when you said Chanthaburi was 3 miles from Pattata.
Yep, that's what you said.
Hahaha! Gold star! No one has caught that one yet!!
Nice video mate.
Thank you buddy 🙏🏼
You were super close to Cambodia. I want to go to the mountain, I was in Chantaburi once or twice for visa runs
Yeah, I didn’t know how close we were until I did the map segment. I’ve been itching to go back since I pretty much only went to Angkor Wat.
Looks like a lot of fun... I'll have to try to be around Feb/Mar next year and give it a try
The whole trip was a blast. Looking forward to doing more of it next year. They have nighttime trips up the mountain too!
@@peteonretreat2023Wow, in those wild trucks?
Do people ever swim at those beaches or are their separate beaches for swimming?
I think they do but we arrived around sunset. We’ll do a beach day when we go back next year.
