Mairead should NEVER EVER EVER stop jumping and dancing around while playing. It isn't even remotely "cheesy". It is the hallmark of her dynamic and immensely powerful performances. It sets her apart from most other violinists and shows the incredibly high level of talent she possesses. She *IS* the Flying Fairy Fiddler! Enough said.
Yes you are 10,000%correct, did you know she can also sing too and play the piano
Máiréad is one of very few genuinely irreplaceable musicians in the world today - there just isn't anyone else who can do what she does.
Mairéad is mine too and my inspiration
I think the best part about watching Mairead's live performances is seeing just how much fun she is obviously having. This woman is having a _blast_ with that violin, and it is just an absolute joy to see.
She's indeed the best. Simply astonishing.
I love her solos, especially this one. I have never seen anybody connect with the audience the way she does.
See all those smiling faces, everyone is enjoying it. She's just amazing~!
Mam
I wonder how many people could play the fiddle (violin) running around like she does? It's pretty amazing.
+paradoxman316 Yeppers... and in heels too !
I have played the violin for years. I can attest to the fact that it is quite difficult.
heck, i cant walk and sing at the same time without running out of breath lol
I am the same. Can walk and play violin, but voice/singing which is my main musical instrument, I still find difficult.
up you go good sir
She just glows when playing that violin. Her enthusiasm is intoxicating. SO much fun to watch her.
Agreed on all points
Mairead is the most exciting and talented violist I have ever heard.
Out of all of the songs that Mairead Nesbitt did, this was my all time favorite. She is a lot of fun when she plays the violin on this one. I really enjoy watching Mairead performing on her beloved violin.
On this song she's playing the fiddle - lol
I would love to see her and Lindsey Sterling have a violin showdown, or collaboration!!!!
bigdking1992 I have heard Lindsey Stirling live, and while she is good, a "quality" competition between the two wouldn't be even close. Mairead would easily outperform Lindsey right off the stage, as she is a better (and more experienced) performance violinist. Lindsey just played some notes flat repeatedly during her live performance I attended, something I have never heard Mairead do in the past nine times I have heard her perform. Lindsey is coming along, but she has a long ways to go before she is in Mairead's league.
Yeah, their styles are also very different
Both are very different. Would be hard to compare
@@davidknisely3003 she will never reach Mairead's level and musicality
You and me both that would be awesome
If you say Mairead isn't your favorite member of Celtic Woman, you're lying.
I agree
They all are my favorite.
Touche.
I love them equally, but if I'd have to choose one - it wouldn't be Máiréad. Still, all of them are my favourite.
I always choose between the singers.
Mairead Nesbitt is a given. She's EVERYONE'S favorite.
So if I have to choose I think I'll go with Meav...
Dang that was hard. I literally stared at my phone for, like, 5 minutes trying to decide.
It's really close between Meav, Lisa K, Lisa L, and Eabha.
This girl is pure delight.
This woman is amazing. fiddlers learn to play by ear, IMO is real musicianship rather than learning to play a succession on notes. She really can play with feeling and interpretation of the true nature and fidelity of the tune.
I am in love with Maired Nesbitt. I was just going threw utube one day and found Celtic women and started listening and immediately became a fan. But the little angel with the violin stoked my heart.I couldn't take my eyes or ears off her.She is the greatest entertainer on violin I have ever seen. She is mesmerizing as she plays so beautiful while dancing around the stage.I guess it's the Irish in me.But she truly steals the show.If I could be anybody in the world it would be Maried. Amazing talent.Love you girl keep on playing with that beautiful smile and excitement you bring to the stage. There is no one like you.😁💝
Mairead is an angel who makes us all happy (and sad too) to hear her music and to be lost in her spell but the best part is that you can see the sheer joy within her as she plays.
She is outstanding! She give me chills... Just pure awesome!
Mairead Nesbitt is beautiful and the violin is beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful musical experience
I think the violin is 300 years old
Dancing up stairs in heels while playing the violin like an angel. I am beyond impressed.
You people rock enjoy your music keep up the good work all my best to everyone take care. Joe
I have a feeling that if I ever attempted to learn the violin, that she would only become even more impressive!
Là où d'autres n'ont que le talent, cette jeune femme a le génie !
the beautifull, super talented Mairead!! always fun and such a joy to watch.wonderfull !!

Said it before and I'll continue to say it... Mairead Nesbitt is the best violin performer in the world.
A VEEERY BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS DRESSED IN PURPLE PLAYING VIOLIN!!!
She's amazing
Extremely gorgeous , talented and beautiful. Thank you for such an amazing performance.
Totally, could not agree more!
Loved her when she was with Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance too! Gifted and highly entertaining musician!
Omg I love this song I keep hitting replay
Oh Máiréad you are so amazing! I love you SO much!
Love the fact she's wearing high heels!
I wish Mairead Nesbitt the Celtic Woman companion can play the Fantasia of British sea songs while she plays the violin in different medleys! She could come to the royal Albert hall in London to participate BBC PROMS for one day.
This song that Mairead reminded us while she plays The Butterfly and Granuaile's Dance in a violin. One was taken for the first edition and one was taken by the second edition.
I have just recently found the Celtic Woman, their crystal clear voices, the joy, charm, or sorrow, all the good and bad of life, that they instill in their songs with the help of the many other "Celtic?" instruments (love the drums). I have found myself dancing as I listened more than once. Great Stuff.
Sallie Graves Welcome to the club. The girls are currently on their tenth year anniversary tour. You should check out their website celticwoman.com and see where they are performing. If they are performing at a venue close to you GO! There is nothing like a live show to fill you with happy feelings. After my first live concert I quickly fell in love with these beautiful and talented women.
***** Hmm, I've been to two live shows and have had no problem with the sound. In fact, at the second one I had front row center seat and it sounded perfectly fine. Maybe it depends on the venue they are performing in.
***** I have been to nine of their concerts, and while one time when I sat under the left speaker column, it was very loud, it wasn't exactly deafening. Most of the time, the volume was quite tame (especially when compared to the times when I sat up front at a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert or when I saw Lindsey Stirling live, and did have to use ear plugs).
***** No, I am presenting my own experiences in *nine* Celtic Woman concerts I have attended. You stated that "their concerts are deafening", which may or may not have been true for you, but is *not* true for many others who have heard their live concerts. Indeed, you appear to have not read my comments well, as I clearly said that one time it was very loud. The reason behind that loud event was a combination of the venue and where I was sitting. The concert was in the Independence Events Center (Independence, MO) which is a large hockey arena that seats about 5000 people and is not terribly good as far as the acoustics are concerned. Thus, the audio setup required more power to fill that hall than they would use in a true concert hall venue. I just happened to be sitting in the 2nd row of chairs on the left side of the stage about 15 feet from the stage and almost directly beneath and slightly in front of a huge curved bank of speakers. It was pretty darn loud at times from there, but a little below the point where I would have to use my earplugs (which I almost always take to concerts). That up-front location also gave me the perfect vantage point to see and hear Mairead Nesbitt do her solo violin performances. From other locations in the arena, the volume was notably less, and in the true concert halls I have heard Celtic Woman in, the volume was only moderately loud for a live event and not extremely close to being "deafening". Indeed, at their Christmas Symphony Concert, I was again only 15 feet away from a full symphony orchestra and four of the most talented female Irish performers on the planet. Not once did I even consider it as being terribly loud.
I have had those "deafening" experiences hearing Taylor Swift in Omaha's huge Century Link Center from a *very* long distance from the stage, or TSO from near the front of the main floor at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Even Yanni live in Kansas City was louder by quite a margin than Celtic Woman usually is. You personally appear to have unduly sensitive hearing (and thus might need to use earplugs if seated near the speakers). However, most other people should have little trouble tolerating the volume from just about anywhere in a decent concert hall where Celtic Woman performs.
J’adore elle est super 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Very special. Amazing talent
Fun music! She's really good!
I'm sure she has been a wood-elf if not a water-elf in her previous life.
Ella es encantadora y bella,me fascina con el violín!!
She is one with that violin...amazing!
I love Celtic Woman Believe . One of the best concerts ever
I love you Celtic Woman
She's so playful on stage yet she plays so well! I'm constantly amazed!
Very very beautiful woman
Outstanding all the way! Máiréad, a tinkerbel in human size.
It's amazing the CLARITY of how she plays while she's running/dancing around.
Beyond Human.
Yay!! No dislikes!!
Shes siren of the violin. She can make that instrument truly sing.
this is called MUSIC..no one is dislikes ...
Ah perfection
She is one of my two favorite artists
Amazing as always❤️Mairead is should be a national teasure along with Peter Dinklage and Nick Vujicic❤️
If I could bottle and sell her energy, I would be living on a BIG yacht somewhere in the Caribbean.
Reminds me of The Butterfly.
AWESOME :-)
My arm would fall off trying to move and play like that. She's got talent.
Wow,this music is simply AMAZING!!❤
NOW WE ARE TALKING GODS GIFT TO WORLD ! LOVE IT !
i am not sure i can write this right. if you watch lindsey stirling, she dances to her music. you watch mairead it is like her movements are a part if the music, a visual interpretation of the sound if you will. completely different. she dropped my jaw the first time i saw her on celtic women several years ago, made me a fan of hers.
She is truly a delight to watch perform.
so cool!
YES PLEASE!!!
I love that dress
She's just so lovely, it almost hurts
Super! :)

Amazing! A VEVO video that ran all the way through! Though there were a few glitches.
Cheesy? It's wonderful! She's like a fairy and it's much more awesome when she's moving around like that :)
amazing
awesome work I love it
Yay! It's Mairead and her trusty violin!
All the time
Aloha I’m shanebearddj I’m biggest fan ever best music ever
Please, someone make happen a battle between Mairead Nesbitt and David Garrett! I don't even know if I could bear such beauty, but it would be completely worth trying! *.*
Livia, I completely agree!!!!
👍👍👍
NO, Celtic Woman does *not* lip sync!! I have sat as close as the 2nd row on several occasions and always could hear their voices (and Mairead's violin) directly. In fact, during the last concert when Chloe and Lisa Lambe were in the audiences doing their "duelling supranos" intro to Teir Abhaile Rui, Chloe sat down in a gentleman's lap while singing. Her wireless mic abruptly quit, but I could still clearly hear her singing away in the theater. This was as live and as real as it gets!
brilliant
20k+ views and no one dislike. That's what amazing means.
bravo
Cudeńko :)
We have enough reports from front-row fans to say that Celtic Woman never lip-syncs. Some people really are *that* good.
She's one with the violin 🎻
Are you kidding? I mean, I think that it's amazing that she can dance and jump like that while playing violin. I think she has great stage presence, and would rather see her do this than just stand her. I almost don't think she can help jump around because she is feeling the music. That's just my opinion, but I like it.
why does she remind me of tinkerbell? lol
+Factoid Firefly Because she is a pixie, and she sprinkles her pixie dust over the audience as the flits and dances around the stage, so they too can fly...
+Sam Rowland You know, Sam, the only way Mairead could be more amazing would be for her to dance up the wall and across the ceiling and considering her magic she might do it someday. (He, he).

Hello John, watching "The Bloody Irish" on PBS as I'm typing this during a break. Watching Irish heritage unfold before my eyes. David Downes outdid himself on this one...
+Sam Rowland Hey, Sam. I just watched it myself(had it recorded) Oh, it was so wonderful seeing our Lil' Lambe perform. I got happy tears when she was on. Let's hope this really helps her career. It would have been ever nicer if there had been a part for her husband, Simon Morgan, but I guess not. Oh, well.

Did you see this? Chloe posted this today..."So incredibly excited to announce my very own show in my hometown at the beautiful National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland JANUARY 16TH 2016!!!!!"
