It's been on hell of a week dude, i can't thank you enough for helping me shut my brain off for 25 minutes and just relax. Thanks Bob, your content goes much deeper than just bringing people the news and answering questions! The "Weekly Roundup" therapy was successful this morning!
Seriously Bob you are going to have to start consulting me with these roundups. You have no business putting wireless DC controllers and Flashcarts for the Wonderswan in one show. Are you trying to bankrupt me? Please though, keep it up! Merry Christmas!
9:10 - MK1 Arcade Edition mod on Genesis is what the retail copy should have been in the early 90s. Easily the best way to play MK1 on any 16 bit hardware
That Colecovision to SMS cart looks interesting. I'd say the closest analogy rather than emulation would be a "translation layer" like WINE, just done via hardware instead
Sadly the remute album only comes on a cheap Nintendo DS flash cart that does not work on my New Nintendo 2DS XL (i got mine yesterday). Nonetheless it got it working through another flash cart and i think it is one of his best albums.
I’m a sucker for crystal/see through/frosted technology. The N64 shell looks amazing. Also I love that the flashMasta costs 123 dollars, I’d love to see a product costing 1234 although expensive 😅
I have a sega CDX a 32X and a mega everdrive X5. Can I play the 32X version of MK2 with cd quality audio with a combo of flash cart + cd rom? Also, is there a plan for an improvement hack for the Sega CD version of MK1? That seems like it would pair perfectly with these.
@ that’s a shame. I would have bought a mega everdrive pro but I read about incompatibility with the CDX in some games so given that it was hard to justify spending what it costs and still having issues. If that ever is fully resolved I’ll pick one up.
A Sega Saturn style controller for a Mister handheld would be the ONE thing I desire most. I just wanna take My Genesis and Saturn games on the go. (Getting to take full speed PS1 games on the go would be sweet too.)
The MiSTer devs have an irrational hatred of Terraonion, so getting that MKII Arcade hack to work with the audio patch might be a problem as the code is based on the MD+/32X+ standard. They have refused to implement it into the Mega Drive or the Mega CD core. On a side note it's continuously sad to see with all these hacks, and with the numerous Archive MSU1 curations over the years, that the audio editors consistently never get any credit for their time.
Seems pretty fair to me. There's a difference between "expensive but reasonably priced given the costs of producing it" and "price gouging" and $70 for a console shell is definitely the first category.

I love how Bob genuinely appreciates the Sega Master System.
Merry Christmas Bob! Hope you have an awesome day next week with the family

more and more lately lol @@_BELMONT_
I can relate
lol, I hear that!
Hang in there man. I hope it gets better!

If only they didn't outsource the game to probe. Most of the console releases weren't developed in-house.
@OniKuno181 I forget who did the MK3s, but those were really good on 16 bit hardware.
I actually prefer MK3 on SNES over UMK3 on SNES.
@itchyisvegeta I think it's Williams Entertainment Inc. Or sculptured software
I've been waiting so long for the Flashmasta to be available again! 🎉
Who is the mastah!?

Saw Ken's video the other day and you're right it's an absolutely awesome vid! Super cool project too!

any chance you'll be talking about the Phøde or Fixel debacle soon?

My wife caught me having a “unique experience with my DS.”
Mortal Kombat is one of the few franchises that still survive from the 90s, gotta pay homage to the first 2 games
I own 52 Dreamcast games and a multiformat monitor to boot. That controller is absolutely for me! Edit: Oh he also does Lightgun mods!
I hope this doesn't cost me money. I've already spent over a grand via buyee this month.
5oclock retro show!!!
Any recommendation for NES replacement shell?
Just the clear RGR one - The links here have all the colors: www.retrorgb.com/retro-game-restore-transparent-red-nes-shells.html
@@RetroRGB Thanks I appreciate it! What about DUO-R? My HUCARD door is missing
Yep. I'm gonna watch the DC controller vid.
I mean, I did just watch a vid about the Vector W8. 🤷

I don't think so. Only the Mega Everdrive Pro (and the MegaSD) supports the audio code used with the hack (MD+/32X+).

The N64 shells are nice, I always wanted a Daiei Hawks version, but those are expensive! Too bad they don´t have orange yet.
No MiSTer updates?
Lu said the updates will be a bit spotty during the holidays. He’ll be back soon!
Hi Bob!
Hello!
Not sure how "fair" $70 is for some plastic N64 shell.
do it better and cheaper and then get back with us when you wanna lose money!
Seems pretty fair to me. There's a difference between "expensive but reasonably priced given the costs of producing it" and "price gouging" and $70 for a console shell is definitely the first category.
Unless produced in the millions, maybe it can be cheaper
You're not sure how it's fair because you're ignorant. Which is fine. But it seems like you're implying it's a scam. Which is not fine.
Injection molds are not cheap, especially if you deal with low volume production which this is
