Wellington city is very similar to Hobart in it's timber houses, harbour and cool winds, but Hobart people are generally happier! I stayed in Wellington for a few months and flew back to Sydney from a cold frosty NZ morning into beautiful sunshine over the harbour! 🤗
This Aussie and family lived in Wellington in the early 70s for 2 years. Lovely, friendly people but OMG the weather! So cold, wet, windy and I trekked to high school in it for a couple of hours per day. Some lovely Summer days though. The culture is pretty similar but the dairy foods are amazing. Sadly I never got back
