Once you have changed the brake pads are u suppose to pump on the brake afew times so the piston repostions its self?

Yes, you are absolutely right, be sure to press the brake pedal a couple of times after replacement, thereby you will bring the pads to the brake disc, minimizing idle speed.

You can use two hammers with wood handle
