Start Somewhere Media he’s definitely with the ric flairs and triple H’s of the world but when i think about who are the goats of wrestling i think about promos, in ring ability and storytelling and he’s definitely in the top 10

@@StartSomewhereMedia just an opinion, he’s easily one of the goats. I think all around he’s better than kenny omega. Kenny’s in ring ability is better (not my opinion just what a lot of ppl believe) . But in ring psychology, promos, storytelling (the storytelling is arguable because kenny is a good story teller in the ring at times) Imo i think randy is better in the ring, majority of ppl will disagree but his style is more believable, plus he has one of the most iconic finishers of all time.

@@StartSomewhereMedia Well, definitely not the same impact, but Orton has the most iconic finisher that a lot of people, even those who don't get into wrestling that much, know. Trust me, you mention WWE, and a lot of people will quickly think Orton, Cena, Mysterio etc.
I personally think Orton helped in WWE popularity during the years 2011-2015.
Why do I think he's the greatest at this point, he has a longer career than all those three you mentioned plus he is a Grandslam Champion and the youngest World Champion till this day, but I think Bret Hart competes against him over who truly is the GOAT. If Orton wins a 16 World Title, then I think the debate is settled.

I think your way of measuring "GOAT status" is flawed and I'll tell you why. Rock and Austin were badass wrestlers in a badass era that was the Attitude Era. Cena was the ultimate PG wrestler in an era where families and kids were told not to watch WWE. Orton was a badass wrestler during the same period but his character is obviously darker and not as fancy as Cena's. But during 2009 to 2011, him and Cena were toe to toe in terms of popularity. I would argue that Orton was more over. Both were the pillars of the company that held the wrestling business for a decade plus but WWE naturally wanted Cena to be the major poster boy because of his flashy character and ultimate babyface persona that made the kids emotional. Because of WWE's heavy reliance on PG rated product, Cena was given the majority of the opportunities. The Rock returned to face Cena twice in 2 Wrestlemania main events. Brock made his triumphant return to face him as well. No one other than Cena was given that much opportunities that the time. So it wasn't really possible for anyone to surpass Cena's overall popularity, though Orton gave him a serious competition for a few years.
But just because Cena is more popular doesn't make him the better wrestler in anyway. Justin Bieber is one of the most popular singers of this generation, but how stupid would it be to say that he has GOAT status in music? I'm not suggesting that Cena is like Justin Bieber of wrestling but you can't say someone is the GOAT solely on the basis of popularity. There are so many underrated artists around the world that don't get anywhere near the amount of attention that they deserve. But I don't think that makes them inferior to the people that get more attention.
Orton's case with popularity is complex and strange. He had many ups and downs... downs because of things like bad attitude in his 20s, getting suspended twice, and American entitled smarks getting insane (yes, I am talking about that nonsensical yes movement). But during his ups, Orton was globally popular. Especially during his peak, his name was everywhere. The RKO memes were super popular in the social media at one point too. But despite all that and the fact that he makes multiple millions of dollars every year, Orton has always been a little underrated throughout his career.
I recommend looking up "Everyone: Randy Orton is the best" on youtube to hear so many professionals that call him the best talent in the business".

If he cared He'd be the GOAT by far. It has been said multiple times by legends. Taker said that kid is the single most talented person in this business. Jericho said Randy is better than me and he isn't even trying. He's in cruise control. He's making money that's what he cares about.

You are wrong about the Undertaker. He is levels above everyone you named, none of them were in the main event seen long enough like the Taker, and none of them were household names like the undertaker in the remote places. I witnessed this myself as a kid 23 years ago, when in remote villages people barely had any means to watch wrestling, and had no clue who Austin, Rock, or Hogan was, but they knew the Undertaker. He is the greatest character of all time, no one is even close. Even HHH couple of years ago travelled different parts of the world, including south Asia, just realized that Undertaker is bigger than what American fans perceive.

I don't think Randy needs to be that likeable in order to be the GOAT. Comparing his antics to Jon Jones is night and day, as Jones did things that made us question his humanity as a person whereas Randy had immaturity issues that he's seemed to overcome and become a better person. Dude is the perfect type of wrestler you'd want if you were starting up a wrestling company, has all the intangibles and talent, and overall is the greatest heel in WWE history.
