Not only do you have the cost and time of doing this project, you also have the cost of doing your nails. They are always perfect!
not sure how this ended up in my recommends, but im fascinated and the house looks really amazing.
Same but it’s cool
Right
i say that each day.
It’s a lifestyle. Your ten years of glorious creativity shines through Ara. It’s absolutely fantastic.
Wow, thank you!😊
Do you sell these, you should, you obviously have talent and I think there is a market for it, by the looks of it
All I hear is a anime girl going Ara Ara and i hate myself for it
Fabulous! I can see why folks do dollhouses. I don't have room so I'll just enjoy yours. Good job!
Your meticulous attention to detail is outstanding. I'm hoping to go back to your first videos and watch how the Addams mansion came to life over the years!
I've had the good fortune to see some antique glass myself-- not house windows, but the glass doors of an old hutch-- and I can confirm that it actually does look a little warped. Glass is technically a very slow-moving liquid, so over time, it winds up thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top. Really, REALLY old glass is also somewhat foggy naturally. The windows you've made look a lot like the real deal!
The liquid aspect is crazy! Wow! Thank you for the info!
OK, I LOVE Cousin Itt's room. The little bow tie rack is adorable, but I think the thing that makes it feel like his room is the carpet bag/top hat combo. (I honestly like all of it, though)
Also, kind of a funny aside, I live on the Corpus Christi bay, and the wind off the bay was making spooky horror movie sounds as I watched this, which I think really added to the ambiance of the video 😂
Haha that's perfect! Maybe I should add windy sounds effects normally!
Hey I’m in Corpus too! Lol
How cozy!!
Sometimes youtube's recommended fails miserably and sometimes it delivers something so perfect but unexpected that you have no idea how it managed it. This was an example of the later. I never really cared about dollhouses or miniatures as a kid or teen but more and more over the years I learned to appreciate miniatures and then a year ago I was watching a thrift store haul video where a dollhouse was featured in the instore footage. At first I was just impressed with the cleverness of the design but for whatever reason Ive not been able to get it out of my head since. Its become a bit of an obsession that crosses my mind maybe once a week or more. Ive taken screenshots. Ive rewatched the footage a dozen times. Ive blueprinted it. Ive imagined and reimagined how I would make it my own. I have so many hobbies, ideas, and unfinished projects that I told myself no, you aren't allow to try making this thing. But Ive wanted too. Ive so wanted to. When I saw your video and saw that it was Addams Family? I couldn't not click. Its a property I love, its an ascetic I appreciate, and it was a dollhouse, the rabbit hole Ive been skirting but refusing to jump down. I don't know how the algorithm knew but Im so grateful this showed up! Beyond indulging my dollhouse dreams I picked up several Techniques and tricks I can use for projects Ive been working on or have been trying to figure out how to do!
With all that said, enough about me. This house is amazing. Your widows were fantastic, the bow tie wrack inspired, and it was just fantastic to watch how everything came together. It was so impressive. Just, wow. Wow.
Me: Wow that looks great I bet I could do something like that even if it takes a while
*"This House Took 10 Years So Far"*
Me: Nevermind
Think back to 10 years ago. Where were you in your life? What were you doing?
I'm sure parts of it feel like only yesterday.
Now imagine the same 10 years passing, but where you're occupied by a hefty task like this - you're really enjoying it because it's something you dedicated yourself to.
If you wanna do something like this, just start! The sooner you start, the sooner you'll have a finished piece. She speaks about how many delays and adversities she faced throughout her life during those 10 years, in her final Addams Family House video. So the 10 years were not solid work. Depending on how much free time you have, it may take you only 5 years.
Time flies when you're having fun! Don't be deterred by time - you'll be so proud of yourself by the time you're done.
This comment isn't just directed at you, but to anyone who wants to do something like this. You can do it! Don't give up!

@@icarlos3640 Brace yourself, when you turn 30 (which probably seems like forever away to you being as it is your whole life away) your concept of time changes abruptly and time suddenly moves faster to where a month feel like a day and a year a month and it'll be frightening how time suddenly gets lost.
Savior your youth, enjoy time being slow and infinite as long as you can because when it's gone it's gone. Live in the moment while still can and absorb everything for it will all slowly but surely slip through your fingers and you don't want to spend your adulthood lamenting all that you lost and never appreciated, reading throwback Buzzfeed articles wishing you did more.
I'm sad that this project is coming to an end, but I'm sure you will start something to keep us entertained for a while. Thanks for the Stormy cameo and I love your hair color.
Yes, I loved this series! I hope she tackles the Munsters or Crimson Peak for a new October series. Whatever she does will always be nice.
Thank you Jenny!!! And oh my I would love to do a Crimson Peak project some day!😄
@@BentleyHouseMinis I had to look up Crimson Peak as I had ever heard of it. It sounds wonderful and a project based on it would be terrific. I'm going to go watch it now.
It takes time to create an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!!
I think when you cut the flowers off of a plant it's called dead-heading. I used to cut off expired roses so the energy of the plant could make more roses, instead of letting the plant make rosehips, but rosehips are useful too.
Is that where rose hips come from? My sister has those for her chinchilla but I didn't know they can from actually roses... interesting!
@@BentleyHouseMinis Yes! After a rose is done blooming, and the bees have been by to do their thing, the petals fall off, and the base of the rose swells up like it's pregnant. Good source of Vitamin C. So when roses aren't pruned you'll see bulby things on there, those are the rose hips.
I haven't tried to see if there are seeds in there to plant new roses with or not. Sometimes people just propagate roses from a cutting of the plant, or graft it to another plant.
It is definitely called dead-heading!
Fantastic work! The only thing I can happily suggest for cousin Itts room is to add an absurd amount of hair brushes to the top of the dresser
How did I get to this video... I actually don’t even care THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
Perfect Cousin It room! You nailed it! The conservatory looks like it’s right out of the show/movies. Bravo!
I love Cousin It’s room ! The conservatory is looking great! I love your videos ! Thank you for sharing and inspiring me .
Thank you so much!
It's looking so good! I'm going to miss this journey when it's over and done.
Me too but I hope the next journey is just as fun!!
Sooooo glad i stumbled upon this. I loved Adams family growing up!!! Also just about to do the windows for my dollhouse. This is soooo genius! Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad your video came up in recommendations, I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is such a beautiful house that you created. Thank for sharing this. I also loved seeing your little dog, what a sweetie ❤
Utterly fabulous as always. A joy to watch. The depth and detail is brilliant :-)
How have I never come across your channel before?! I love miniatures, dollhouses and the Addams family! Your creativity is incredible!
Love it, lots of long hard work, but it’s a joy to look at
Thank you Brent!
Cousin It is so dapper. Those bowties are perfect for him!
Thank you Jennifer! 😊
@@BentleyHouseMinis You're welcome! Is he going to get a hair care set for his vanity?
I like your nails. I was thinking about what you said About how long you've been working on the mansion . I don't think that it has been that long. When the life size ones are built of this type it takes years with many people working on the building. With all the detail you have put into the Mansion I don't think it is taking to long at all. It looks very cool! Amazing work you have done. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻🍄🍄😎🌂🌧⚡
Thank you Debbra! That's a great viewpoint!
I’ve been watching your videos all week and I absolutely love Cousin Itt’s room. It’s my favorite. So cute.
Cousing It room is just perfect! ❤
I admire your creativity and vision. I could watch you all day, every day! The Adam's Family project is my favorite, but I truly enjoyed every video you have made! I appreciate that you seem to be a very kind person as well. 🤩
Thanks so much 😊 I appreciate that!
This dollhouse is absolutely magical!
This is the first video I have watched of its kind and I must say you are fascinating. Your creativity is out of this world. Thank you for introducing me to something new.
I absolutely loved this video. I love the bow tie rack. I probably wouldn't have thought of that!! So much time, blood, sweat and I'm sure tears have went into this project. You should be super proud of yourself because it has turned out AMAZING! Love your nails too btw. 😊💙
Thank you Traci! I appreciate that!
Hi Ara! 🤗
Love the way the light shines through the leaded windows in It's room.
Enjoyed the video.
Thank you Darnelle! I liked that part too!
Cousin It's room is my absolute favorite in this house. It's just so cute and reflective of his personality and tastes, love it!
The fact that you're finishing a 10-yr long project shows dedication and demonstrates that it can take a very long time to make or source all the pieces needed to properly finish a large dollhouse! Thank you for sharing this outstanding playful project with the rest of us!
Thank you Beverly! That's true... and everyone has to take time off from projects as well... I am sure there were a couple years I didn't really touch it much!
I'm extremely impressed to be honest. You have a lot of clever techniques and I have learned a lot today!
I have been working on my dollhouse for 25 years. You have done amazing work in 10!
They become such a labor of love don't they?😊💖
Wow ask and you shall receive! You are wonderful Ara. I love the Adams family house! I can't wait to finish some of my projects and you give me ambition to get it done. Thank you!
Thank you Rhonda! I am very ok with taking my time on a project BUT it does feel pretty good to see somethings get wrapped up! ;)
As always your an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent and technics. I learn something new with every video.
I am so happy that I found your channel! Happy doesn't even cover it, I'm ecstatic :-)
Edit: Great idea to too, on the blurriness of the windows, so as not to see the life-sized items through them.
Amazing! I love watching an artist work!
I just discovered your channel and I’m hooked! Your thought process on everything and the attention to detail is amazing!
Thank you so much and welcome!!😊
I have a Calico Critters dollhouse, and a lot of the items have tons of tiny pieces. Lots of detail. I saw where some people were saying they super-glued stuff down so it wouldn't get lost, but they were still asking collector's prices for the items. (Obviously, I didn't buy any of those.) I have learned that sticky tack is my friend. It's not permanent, doesn't damage anything, and can be easily removed. I can move things around, but they generally stay put if I have the right amount of putty on the item. It doesn't take much, and the most challenging part is items that have small feet. I usually just have to put a bigger wad of putty underneath the middle part of those and hope it stays put. It even works through thin lace, though I have to press pretty hard, and I do put a tad under the lace to hold it down. With lids on teapots, I put a small lump on the inner side of the tea pot, so it doesn't fall inside, but the lid will hide it. It also works for doors that won't stay shut, and I put a small bit in the edge of the door frame. It's wonderful because nothing gets damaged, and all pieces remain fully functional! I am currently using the Scotch brand and have had good results. I won't assume that all brands are equal, but, my past experience with sticky tack has been that it works basically the same, and I've tried a blue brand and a yellow brand (this one is white/pale gray). I have had erasers completely melt, so it's a bit surprising to see this stuff hold together so well.
10 years seems quick given you were working, giving birth and raising young children and working! I learn so much with each and every video you post! Love the breadth and depth of your attention to the details...in this one, the tiny bow ties and decapitated roses stood out to someone who watched and loved the original tv series as a kid! Thanks for all you do to inspire us all!
Thank you Lali! And you are right... there was a lot going on behind the scenes too lol! I appreciate it!
Thank you. I can't wait to see a final tour of the entire house
This popped up on my home page and glad it did I have never seen anything like it before. Thank you. xx
That was excellent! So much in the video, alhough it flew over!
That moss looks brillant.
Also, the tip about blurring windows - genius. I filmed inside my pub and everyone can see my duvet through the window 🤣
So glad you enjoyed! I like to get lost in the interiors so I am glad it worked! :)
The red 'Chinese lantern'esque' light fitting is beautiful
Fabulous fabulous fabulous.......maybe would have put a green lamp in cousin its room.....but your model house is pretty cool.....well done....I love it xxx
Taking a break from uni essays to actually relax and watch this, a much needed stress reliever ❤️ thank you for the great videos!
Good luck with your essays!
Thank you 😊
Back in 66 or whatever I wanted to live in that house. Gorgeous work.
It's room is so charming! Yes, very inviting
Great job on Cousin Itt's room! I love how you made the ties! Nice work!
Seeds sprout into seedlings! Love the conservatory! That turned out really well!
Amazing work as always! Keep up the great work! Have a better day!
Thank you for the plant info ;) I am pretty lost when it comes plants and seeds! Glad you enjoyed it!
Cousin IT wears a Derby Bowler hat but this is so cool I'm willing to overlook the top hat :)
With the amount of time and energy she has expended, I think the Derby hat is a must.
What a showstopper of a house. Bravo!
🌹already decapitated for Morticia’s convenience.
Perfection in every detail, you are an amazing artist, so creative! BTW, your hands and nails are beautiful!
Thank you so much for the kind words💖
Wow, could you see a world as patient as her.✌🌻👍
Beautiful house. I love all the details. Cousin It’s room is fabulous. The conservatory is wonderful. You did such an amazing job on it all. Thanks for sharing about the restick glue. Hugs and blessings.
Thank you so much 🤗
Definitely one of my top 3 favorite miniatures I’ve seen created. I feel so inspired!!
Cousin Itt’s room definitely works. In the original series it was different to the general look of the house so your interpretation feels right. I am however in love with the conservatory. It was a favourite all along but the finishing touches are brilliant. I can imagine Gomez and Morticia deep in conversation as she tends her plants.
Cousin It’s room is amazing.
This is such a wonderfull house. Okè it takes 10 years to make, but you can see and love it for many more years. So many details and so many very nice ideas. I love every room and I have seen every video the last 1 1/2 years That is when I found you on You tube. Thank you for sharing and I'am very happy to see the next video.
Thank you so much for following along all this time!
I’m sure u could make it in less than ten years if U worked on it constantly
AGAIN,that project is really great, AND all your vidéos and projects ! Thank you for sharing !
Love your house. On the things I don't want to permanently glue I use the sticky glue dots. They hold really well when undisturbed, but they peel off both surfaces easily.
I've always been obsessed with miniatures- when I was little I had an insane collection of Sylvanians and those little detailed model houses. Unfortunately Sylvanians are not nearly as detailed as they used to be, the sets nowadays come with tons less little accessories and bits and bobs. This video made me miss that feeling so much!
Looking fantastic!! Cousin Itt's room looks so inviting!!
So many wonderful tips and tricks. the house is fabulous!
Excellent! I had the idea that the cloudy window video was at the end of the Addams videos and here it is. I don't like seeing cutouts behind dollhouse windows and, like you, I would rather the windows were cloudy or dirty to hide it
Brilliant these are perfect !
This is gorgeous, a real work of art.
Squeeeee love it when your cute pupper is in the video 😻😻😻. That magnet idea is fab. I moved out of the cottage that had the same tiles as the conservatory, l miss them 🥺. I cant find any lino like them for my new house, l dont think that 400 year old tiles are modern enough these days lol.
I have just watched Tim Holtz make light up candles. I thought these would be so great for Adams family. It’s on his fab page! Xxx
The love for every little detail is incredible. It turned out stunning!
Thank you so much💖
I just wanted to share a tip when it comes to windows, instead of using resin and risking the window to warp, you can use UV gel nail polish (rubber top coat, no wipe, or a building gel) those don´t give off as much heat as resin does, after that is cured, you can apply a thin coat of resin to make it stronger, and the risk of warping it much less :) (nail geek over here, and I´ve been playing around with windows, trying to find the best way to both get away from warping and making it hard)
Your way works too, I´m not saying otherwise, just a tip, and it´s a good one for those who might not have resin, but maybe have UV gel polish base and/or top coat :)
I´m kinda sad that this has come to an end...I´ve really enjoyed the journey of the Addams house...it´s weird, I always start off excited when there´s a new project, then in the middle, I have a love, hate relationship with it, then when I´m finishing it, I get sad...I get the same feelings watching other peoples journeys too, it´s like I need to have a mourning period every time a project is complete...
Anyways, I love everything you have done with the Addams house, you have done such amazing work! 💜 :) and so what that it took years, you have been doing something you love, and getting things as you´ve seen it in your head, it takes time to create that into a physical things, to get it just right!
It really shows how much love and care you´ve put into this, that´s what matters, not the time, there´s no time limit on creating something we love :) and the journey (at least for me) is the best part, seeing it coming together, how it evolves and transforms :D from nothing into something magical! :D 💜
Thank you for the tip with the nail gel...I have some so I can try to remember and test it out! I have the same feelings with beginnings, middles, and ends. But there is also some excitement to share the end with others! Because hopefully they can see what has been trapped in my head for so long lol! Thank you so much CrixJoki!
@@BentleyHouseMinis I have to agree on that, and the pride you feel over something that you made, coming to life, being able to share that part of the creative you and inspire others, it´s a wonderful feeling, but somehow (for me) it´s still sad lol I dunno, I think I prefer the journey when it comes down to it :) don´t get me wrong, I love the end results too, but nothing beats the journey 💜
I am however VERY grateful for everything you share, all the inspirations, tips and tricks, the amazing community you have around you, all the good vibes and fun.
That´s priceless! :D 💜💜💜 and I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into sharing your amazing wonders :)
Absolutely loved the bow-tie rack, that is so It, just Perfect. :}
This is absolutely amazing. I had so much fun watching.
Very cool and I love the dog, looks like the one I had about 15 years ago.
Love the small doors, they are perfect
Love your work. I feel like there's one or two crucial items missing in Cousin It's room. A hairbrush and/ or comb. 😊 Oh, also, maybe a lace doily on Morticia's sideboard to cover the lettering and add an extra touch.
What an amazing project. You are so talented! 👍
You're awesome that is an amazing eye for detail. Thank you for the inspiration. Keep up all your hard work
O M G ... I thought my popsicle stick Addams Family house was impressive.... This is amazing... And perfection doesn't even begin to describe Itt's travel bag. I swear I saw the episode with Lurch holding that bag for him.
There's a kind of goo called tiny tack that can be reused, it comes in different strengths and it's clear 💕 I love all your minis
What a great video. You finished two rooms, that’s fantastic. I love the tie rack and the lamp was a fantastic idea. I also love all the little details that you put in the conservatory. I’m looking forward to seeing your next video of the Addams Family Mini Mansion.🥰
Thank you Dianne! I 've got my list ready to go... only 2 videos left in the month... I hope I can fit it all in😄
@@BentleyHouseMinis well there is always next October 🦇
Those escape hatches at the end are amazing! I can't believe I got so far behind on your videos... Time to catch up for sure! And hopefully I can get to doing more minis. I miss it!
Nice job on how the ceiling turned out in the conservatory. I saw the live video two days ago how you did it. Awesome job.
Tack it over and over! that is the stuff I was mentioning in a previous comment. I stated there that I could not find it any longer - and I was correct! I can not find the brand I used to use. Knowing that someone else produces it is a boon, though my method of watering white glue, and allowing it to almost dry on both surfaces before pressing them together does work on most surfaces. The bond is "brittle" enough to be broken easily.
Can't decide which is the cutest - Cousin It's room, the conservatory, or the pupper....................guess its a trifecta!!! You wearing the new "intro hat" come in second, sorry!
I am so glad the brand will be useful to you! I can definitely see it's benefits! Thank you George :)
This is fantastic! You make it look so easy
What a cosy little room that is so tastefully furnished that I am sure cousin It would adore it and maybe even stay put longer. I think the windows look so realistic! I love it!
I think I may have mentioned this before, but the tacky wax we use for Breyer horses to keep bits in the correct place etc., is really rather fabulous at keeping miniatures from falling down. It doesn't mark things and is removable and I am fairly sure you can get it most places because Breyer is based in the US and 'everyone' seems to use it. I will stick a photo of the tub on FB because it's a must have on your FB that is...I will put it on in the morning so you can see what it's properly called ! I have noticed that items like the wash stand bowl and pitcher stay together really well and nothing I have put it on has either. I will definately remember to put the photo on your FB because it's great! The moss would be great for my witches herb shelves but I have only seen reindeer moss here. I will have a look though because our family garden in Scotland (which doesn't look too different from one of your projects lol!) Has an abundance of pots looking like That!
Very cool. 💜 I would suggest using the UV resin to glue things down. I make miniatures too, and it works really well. The windows or the pickle jar would have taken a lot less time, plus it holds very strong.
I am so happy I found your channel!! I subscribed right away! I am just getting in to creating miniatures and dollhouses (and I'm 55 - a late bloomer!). I am going to learn SO much from you!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel! Happy creating MsBecki!
For some reason this video makes me think of the scene in Kill Bill 2, where Bud asks if Elle Driver is filled with relief or regret... seeing the finish line of a project so big... must insight mixed emotions! “A little bit of both!”
I love all the things you made for this video- from the windows to the escape doors!
Lol I will have to watch Kill Bill again... it's been a while!
This is amazing. I was thinking it could be funny if you put several hairbrushes/combs in Itt's room.
would be perfect for a Halloween live special ;) LOVE this house.
I love everything you did today!! I absolutely love cousin its room!!!!
Thank you so much 🤗
This is amazing ... and so much information. My only problem is the Waste of Materials... because you can cut out items from the very edge of the product. Just like I work with each and every pattern piece and how they should be placed on the fabric so I am not wasting any extra material other than necessary. It's sort of a large scale of what you do. Sewing that is. But waste is waste.
Your Technique is superb. Good video.
So interesting and fun to watch. Love hearing your process and seeing all the details come to life.
Great video, I love the conservatory and all the great pieces you have in there, I love the choice of lighting to the red looks so good, Great job Ara 👍
Thanks so much!
Love your work Ira.gets me itching to make my own minitures.x
Wow, you popped up at random, so enjoyed your video. I am just a beginner, having inherited a dolls house. I've a lot to learn!
How fun! Welcome and happy creating!
I love it! It's looking great together.
Thank you! 😊
Oh my goodness! The bow ties are so adorable! I will have to try the mod podge thing. It might work well for tiny doll clothes. I always have a hard time with fraying. I REALLY want to try that window technique. I got some new resin. Maybe this one won't stay tacky for six months. OH! And I got a pair of those 123 blocks! And I LOVE them. I am always fumbling for something heavy with a right angle when gluing stuff. So thanks for the idea on that. I also love the thought of that tack it glue or gluing things to clear plastic. I kind of hate the idea of gluing things permenantly because I like to pick them up and look at them or show them to someone closer. But things falling off is also a problem So you gave TWO solutions!
I am so glad the video gave you some solutions! I will probably use the mod podge on more mini things in the future too when it comes to fabric... it worked pretty well!
👍😀💞 great room for cousin IT👍
And the Conservatory, great job 👍
Thank you! 🤗
Loved this........Its room is so adorable. Everything is coming together so nice. Thanks for posting ❤️
Glad you liked it!! Thank you!
