Its always good to see a different story about Bangkok that doesn't involve the bars and nightlife. I love these short films you make, keep up the great work.
Stepping it up a notch or two!!! Fantastic documentary, the research and extra footage you have included is sensational! So fantastic to see a UA-cam influencer strive for better footage and better content, so excited to meet you next month.
Agree Keis it reminds me about Bangkok, the fact that i lived in the apartment building in the video ( in the background ) is probably why. Its also such an iconic building that just looks awesome. i must admit i did try to get in but there is no way and lots cctv around the place now. Love this short film keis well done. Stay safe mate
Very nice Adam. Your documentary jenre is getting polished and this one would be award winning I am sure! It actually made me get emotional as I love Thailand and consider Bangkok as my second home.
Hey Keisy, Thanks for putting this video out, I was staying across the river at the IBIS hotel about 10 days ago and wondering what was going on with that building. I thought a developer had broke during construction. I noticed the plants growing out of it from across the river. Didn't realize that it has sat there for so long. when these building are not maintained they can become very unsafe especially when you have structural reinforcing steel exposed to the elements, which can further fracture concrete. That's probably that don't want to allow people entry. It's a shame that governments can't force owners/developers to sell or complete/finish the building for the sake of the Bangkok people. Its a bit of an eye sore like the Pattaya ghost tower.
@@keisone Missing my home away from home so much this week. Your uploads always help me get through. This one in particular was super captivating. Thanks again. See you in 3 weeks Bangkok :)
I've never watched your channel before, but I just had to comment after watching this. You did an excellent job on this Keis! 👏 👏 I'd seriously watch anything you did a documentary about. Keep it up young man, (what's that? You gotta take a call), BBC calling you, huh? 😁
Great one bro ! What a shame for the building, if the concrete is still standing 30 years later I gather it would still be doable to finish it once and for all
Great video! My wife knew the guy who died there, he was a longboarder and was in Philippines for a competition right before. I saw the note that was found with his body and it was definitely a murder. The note was complete broken English nonsense and my wife said he spoke fluent English so sounds like someone just tryed to cover their tracks and the police wanted an easy case closed. We went there and it was the best thing I experienced in Thailand as I knew how extremely lucky we were to be some of the last people to experience that place, completely shut down couple months after we went
Great video 👍! I like your mini-documentaries and look forward to more. I wonder with gambling coming to Thailand, the government would consider salvaging this building or property into a casino-hotel 🧐.
Great video! I love the mystigue about abandoned buildings, Thailand has a lot. Last trip I discovered an abandoned hotel in Phuket. It was a low building and was all taken back by nature. When walking there you can only imagine what it would be like when it was still operational and also what happened for closing. Thanks for this video
The Asian Financial Crisis started from Thailand, so it was also called the "Tom Yum Kung Crisis" Economic growth in Thailand in 90s was really crazy before the crisis. We were the world's 4th largest Mercedes buyer at that time. And then the crisis began, which affected every family in Thailand.
Great video Keis, one small pointer, the building arrowed at 1:25 isn't the Sathorn Unique, maybe the Millenium Hilton under construction in Khlong San district?
What perfect timing. About an hour ago, I just finished watching the Thai movie "The Promise" also known as "Puen Tee Raluek" which was centred around this building. Back in 2014 I also stood in that alley between the building and its carpark wondering if there was a way inside. There were a few guards on the first level of the building and I was put off from trying to get in, and went back home after visiting the Wat on the opposite side of the road. The Wat that has the big boat in the middle.
@@keisone ... Excellent movie. I loved it and gave it an 8/10 on IMDB. Funnily enough it only has an overall rating of 5.9 but don't let that put you off.
Cool story,…. Imagine the mess that would make if they were to demolish it where would they put all that concrete, I hate to see so much money go to waste , he had to have lost millions and millions …..sad
A Thai girl i know, back in 2020, had a photo shoot inside the tower. Back then she posted the photos on IG too. As we all know "impossible" doesn't apply to Thailand 🤭😁
I was in Bangkok in January 2020 and wanted to go up this abandoned tower. It was all fenced off. There was an independent shop that backed into the grounds of this building (you could walk through their shop through the back door into the grounds) and I tried to bribe them with money but they was having non of it. Walked away dissatisfied. This towery reminds me of the abandoned one in Pattaya down near Bali hai pier.
It's such a shame that the government doesn't auction these projects same as in China, take it from the people if they are gonna trash it like this IMO. Here in Pattaya we also have half build properties and it's a shame and disgrace to look at it stuck like that.
A quintessential part of BKK indeed, creepy as hell when looking at it from the Hangover Rooftop Bar at night....Keis the filmmaker has nailed it again! 🤘

I remember watching a video when you were talking about how you want to become a better video creator. This is your best video by far. Well done man 👍

You should also do a video on the ghost tower in Pattaya. Such an eye sore!
Awesome video man. I stayed at the lebua and stared at the ghost tower for hours. That place intrigued the shit out of me.
Thank you! The Lebua is awesome.. unfortunately you can’t get into the ghost tower at all anymore..
Nice video 🙏🏼🍻
I was there last week

Casinos and gambling are illegal here so I don’t see that.. it’s crazy to think how much that land / condo would be worth now if it was finished!
@keisone the gambling bill is basically finalised. Casinos are coming to thailand very soon.

Have seen that tower block and thought that land is worth a fortune ready to be redeveloped but then have heard of rumours of deaths or hauntings.
Bangkok Riverside tower and Buildings in Wong Amat beach in Pattaya
Good video. I stayed in the area across the river on my last trip and it was pretty cool. It felt very Thai if that makes any sense. Cheers
Nice one, walked by it the other day exploring around
Ohh nice, it’s such an interesting looking place
Insane how they've let it rot for 30 years! By now it should be resolved by government. Same as Bali Hai Waterfront tower, a disgrace!
is it still allowed to use drones in thailand? i hear that many places there you can get into big trouble.
Next-level production... nicely done .... always wondered what that tag was on top.... nice experience you have gained access... thanks for sharing..
Who has been tricked by the ghost in this building? Raise your hand.Goosebumps just walking past😂😂😂

by just leaving it unfinished for now and not demolishing it costs nothing and they avoid the 1.2% vacant land tax....
