    Cody I know this is an old video, I just wanted to let you know How proud your mum would have been- You have realised what a lot of people don’t or won’t. Mums are human- I am sorry ( it’s not just a word) that your childhood was challenging ( an understated sentiment). It’s just my perception and I don’t mean to presume ( if I am wrong please accept my apology). I personally know of the challenges that are needed to overcome when ones parents ( or caregiver) are not the ‘ norm’ ( another understatement). You ( come across) as a beautiful human being!!!! Mean girls and people who disrespect you, ignore them because the world needs more people like you!!! Thank you for you videos- P.S ... There is nothing wrong with looking beautiful or feminine ( more males should try it!!)

    Thank you for sharing your heart about accepting your mom first as a human being who made mistakes and did the best she could with what she knew and had. Beautiful skin is also a reflection of how happy we are. If we are stressed and sad, our skin will reflect that - I personally don't take great care of my skin when I am under a lot of pressure. Being happy is an essential part of being beautiful, from the inside out.

    Cody, I've been using your sunscreen, sexy skin in crime brûlée. I have to tell all your subscribers how lovely it is. I'm not a foundation user so I can't address using with makeup but on my light olive skin it's amazing. Highly moisturizing and a very natural color! Off topic I know but just wanted to say, great job on the formulation.Thank you!

    Hello Cody. I am so sorry about your mother sweetheart. She is always with you. May she rest in Paradise. 🙏🏽 She surely did a supreme job in raising you because you truly are a beautiful soul, inside and out, with a golden heart! Oh my gosh I grew up in the Bronx, NY and growing up my mom would take me to “tar beach” where we would use Bain de Soleil with spf of 4! 😩 It a miracle my skin looks pretty good for 55. Oh the sun damage ...
    Thank you for another very informative video. I appreciate you. My 17 yr old daughter has some major hyperpigmentation from a sudden bout with cystic acne and I am learning on how to help her. Oh my God! You've given me so much information. I've been suffering from noticeable Melasma since 2014 and have been at my wits end and extremely self-conscious about this. And at one point, got really depressed when dermatologists seem to look at me like I had two heads when I say the word, or seem to want to run me through a battery of expensive tests and treatments.
    I am 57, African American, and I used to have beautiful facial skin. My texture is smooth - I think. At least people comment on how smooth my skin is. But this damn Melasma!!!! Ahhh!!! It's actually like a beard shadow - almost. And because of that pattern, my vermillion border appears lighter. It's a frigging mess. Close up, I don't think people can see it. But when I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror from a distance, I can see it very clearly. I don't know what to do because sunscreen and products containing sunscreen inflame my face to the point of my eyes swell for days.
    I am being treated to my first facial ever, tomorrow and plan to discuss some care options.
    Thank you. You just made my night. My birthday is tomorrow and I'm feeling hopeful.

    I stumbled upon your youtube channel by accident while researching videos regarding the differences between Skin Medica Vitalize Peels and Obagi Blue Radiance Peels. I didn't know anything about TCA peels until I watched your demonstration video with you applying a TCA peel to yourself. You then did a follow-up video of the peeling process and how you cared for your face post-peel. I am so glad I found your youtube channel. I don't use other social media (no Facebook, no Instagram, no Twitter), so this is the only format I have that I can follow you. I have several suggestions for other youtube videos that I would love to see and perhaps your other subscribers would appreciate and benefit from them, too. You are an excellent teacher and have a warm, approachable energy that undoubtedly will result in an ever-expanding subscriber base on youtube.
    In your TCA peel self-application video you mentioned that your TCA solution included a numbing agent. Where might we find an appropriate numbing agent that we can add to our peel solutions that will not interfere with the acid solution but will give us some numbing effect? I'm interested in knowing the differences among the various peels that are available both on the market and through estheticians, specifically the differences among: Skin Medica Vitalize peels, Skin Medica Rejuvenize peels, Obagi Blue Radiance Peels, TCA peels, and Jessner's peels. Could you also speak to the discomfort level experienced when using these various peel solutions. Which peels do you recommend and why? Which peels should we probably avoid doing at home on our own? Also, I would like to see a youtube video that addresses peels that can be used on the back, arms, hands, and chest (even if they should not be used on the face) to tackle hyperpigmentation, freckles, moles, skin tags, and bumpy texture. If there are peels available for uses on non-facial skin, how should they be used and how often?
    Thank you so much for being so kind, interesting, honest, and informative. Please consider expanding your product offerings in your online store. I know of two online stores that sell peel products in multiple strengths. Perhaps you could offer some of the peel solutions in your online store. I would trust your products because you talk so openly about their use and possible misuse in your videos. I apologize for the long comment. I hope to see you soon in your next video!

    Hey!
    Just found you today and I am so so happy that I did. I'm going to purchase the vitamin C serum. I just purchased Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance dark spot serum Sat sooo . I'm just wondering if I can alternate. I am tired of this melasma but I'm not trying to do the most with strong products all at once. I listened to your video and I don't want to damage myself anymore than what I am
    I am so glad that I found you!
    so so glad to have met you! I like you and you are so animated I'm wondering if I can use yours with the cauldie I bought that is suppose 62x better than Vitamin C. You think it's to much? I want the melasma gone and I know it won't disappear in a week or even a mom but I don't want to destroy my face using too much. I will see how it works and I'll keep in touch I'm so glad I found you

    • @MontarboSkinCareSanDiego
      @MontarboSkinCareSanDiego  2 роки тому

      Hi there, melasma is very tough to treat and is more so managed. There are a combination of solutions that may help including vitamin c, vitamin a, brighteners and spf. I think it would be a good try to alternate. Often a high concentration of vitamin c and good formulas seem more helpful

    So funny! Best skin care videos on UA-cam! Girl run! You know I do. 🏃💜😁 Why don't doctor's in Europe want to prescribe Retin A or pigmanorm during the summer? We have to take a break during the high SPF months. Is that good or bad? Are we losing effects during the months that we are taking a break? Thanks

    • @MontarboSkinCareSanDiego
      @MontarboSkinCareSanDiego  5 років тому

      Yes it may be to have your skin take a break but also those prescriptions can make you sun sensitive. May be a way to be extra cautious, too heat and inflammation plus irritation can be triggering for pigment to produce.

      @@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego Thank you for your reply. 😁 💜 I see so many women using Retin A in the States all year round,so I wanted to know your opinion on it. Is it better to use all year round or take a break during high SPF seasons? Your video on how to use Retin A more effectively really helped me. I see a difference already in just two nights of using your method of application. Thank you so much! 😁💜

      You are so welcome, really happy to hear that some of my Tips has helped improve your skin. You can absolutely use Retin-A all year round if you feel your skin can tolerate it but more importantly if you know you’re going to commit to staying protected from the UV. Most times people will take it easy during the summer because it’s kind of hard to control and also it’s easy to get damage during that time

    Thank you Cody. I have a compound cream from my dermatologist and it has 2.5% of hydrocortisone, 7% hydroquinone, and 1% tretinoin and it really has done wonders for my melasma, but the biggest issue I have is the melasma mustache, it has lightened but still noticeable. My question is how can I get the medicine to work better to get the mustache all the way gone?

      Artavia Anderson hello my love. I think you would do well Exfoliating the area first and then applying a little bit of the bleach. Or you could use RA after exfoliation then HQ on top so the RA drives the HQ deeper into skin.

    My dermatologist warned me against applying Obagi bleaching cream all over the face, you’re only supposed to apply it to darkened areas, not the entire face.

    Lol. I just got back from Santa Fe. I allowed a sales person to put a product on my left eye. It was magical! Wrinkles gone. I listened more to her sales pitch. The price went from 1K to 300 plus additional skin product and facial. I had zero intention of purchasing this miracle product. I told my husband that I suspect that glue was in the product. I threw away the sample but yes, I walked away. It was from a company that started with a L.

      @@MontarboSkinCareSanDiego I, literally, could feel the glue. I guess if you glue the skin over a long period of time it will decrease wrinkles. I wish I could remember the name of the place. It is on Santa Fe Square.

    Hello great video! I just started Hydroquinone and RetinA. . The dermatologist wrote to use Hydroquinone twice a day and I'm worried that's too often for first starting. Could you please tell me how often to do this when first starting? I am starting Retin A 1-2 times a week for the first month then will increase slowly. Thank you so much. Your Hilarious also 💜🌺🌈👁️

      @Jackie Lou well yes I have been using the Retin A up to 4 days a week. My skin looks great and it got rid of most of the hyperpigmentation so I didn't use the hydroquinone at all. I found it too irritating. I love using the Retin A .05 strength. Hope this helps!

    Seems like Obagi Clear doesn't have hydroquinone anymore...everything is their "FX" line which has that other ingredient. I had such a bad case of hyperpigmentation it looked like tribal markings. I had a xmas tree on my forehead! With aggressive 60% peels and hydroquinone I achieved success. Can you recommend any other "affordable" products containing Hydroquinone? Obagi worked for me too, but not in the budget. Been using tretinoin & Glycolic cleanser. (Just did my first Jojoba Oil cleanse and actually FELT the glycolic stingle after!! LOL...Ice cube ahhhhh!) Love your channel and thank you.

    Great video! I just started getting glyderm peels at a plastic surgeons office. I started with 50% but they will do 70% the next visit. What is your opinion on these peels? They are $50 each. Is there a brand of home peel that you recommend? Also any chance you can recommend a good brand sun screen for the face?

    I was really hoping he wouldn't bring up hydroquinone. Horrible chemical.
    It can take months before you start seeing results, and if you do, it usually only lightens by like half a shade. Not worth using your entire life.
    Oh, and you also run the risk of getting ochronosis, which darkens the skin. So it's like you can't win with hydroquinone either way.

    Thank you for the information. I have post hyperpigmentation, and need to start this regimen. How soon after my peel can I start the vit. C, hydroquinone and RA regimen? I did a salycilic acid peel on Sunday, and then on Thursday did a spot peel with salycilic acid, but my face was not ready for that. I ended up frosting in the 4 spots very quickly, and need to wash off the acid immediately. How soon can I start the post treatment?
