The product doesn’t have any chemicals in it, it’s water based color dye, that’s why it’s temporary. To make the color lighter you dilute it in hair conditioner.
You know water is a chemical compound right?

Serenity • Yes exactly! I always suggest going darker though, because with a couple of washes it will turn pastel. Also it’s best to go darker because if there’s any uneven blond shades in your hair, it’ll help cover them better! Also, use a conditioner that doesn’t have coloring. Use white conditioner so you can see the color you want when mixing!

If you’re looking for a good conditioning color, overtone has rose gold and rose gold for brown hair. I’ve been using the ginger one for awhile and I loooove it
I use overtone also and I really like it. I have tried the ginger, the pastel orange, and the pastel red. I'm thinking about giving rose gold in combo with golden brown a try next. Trying to get my ideal shade of red. 😆
I've been eyeing their colors for brown hair forever (specifically the purple) but I'm so scared that it'll just come out black! I have dark brown hair with more caramelly colored tips. And I really just want a purple tint or sheen but I don't want to spend so much $$$ if I'm not even gonna get that, lol
@@casey54321 you can mix it in with your conditioner if you want the color to be more sheer. I've done that before with good results.
Does it come out well? I wanna have a bright colour for a while but I can't have bright hair at my internship.

hey Kathleen! I'm an hairstylist and I use this mask on myself. It's a color depositing mask so no need to wash it out just rinse out with water like a regular hair mask. I use the shade cocoa myself .
Hey! Can you please tell me does it bleed on your clothes when your hair is wet or when you sweat?
Last time I used temporary dye on my highlights it never came out 😅 and that was the last time I ever used temporary color haha

Temporary hair color just means it’s deposit only. It doesn’t actually mean it will wash out all the way.
What brand and color did you use!
Jennifer Ford well the box said it would wash out in 10 washes so that’s why I didn’t think it would be an issue lol

i did highlights that were supposed to be purple without really bleaching and the warmth in my hair made the purple go to this exact colour!! i love itttt and it also looks amazing on you

İ've used blue one. When you wash your hair It's change to shades of blue, then green. It's like you have different hair color every week 😍🤩 As Aquarius I absolutely loved it! 🤩

Sweetie, getting your curls back takes time and by time I mean months or more. BUT it is totally possible. I'm talking from experience, it took me nearly a year to bring mines back and it was the best decision ever. I know is hard to change completely the way you have been styling your hair since forever and you'r going to feel kinda lost at the beginning but trust me it's worth it. You just have to be constant and patient.

Well, depositing color on top of color just makes it darker... it’s beautiful! But yeah, that’s why it’s darker haha
The temp pink hair color looks GREAT on you 💆♀️💕 It complements your skin tone & brown hair color SO well 👏🏼

I love that you are doing the curly girl method ➿😍 I have been following it for like 6 or 7 months, there's still a lot of improvement needed in my hair, but so far it has helped.

Love that you're trying out the curly girl method! I've been doing it for about a year now, and my biggest recommendation is start with styling techniques and less heat. After a year I've gone back to occasional silicones and sulfates because I just think it works better for my hair 🤷♀️
Also I almost always have pink hair. The Arctic Fox temporary hair color is my favorite! But it normally lasts around 3 months for me, it's pretty intense!
I bought platinum and tried it. Had no pigment :(. I recommend Overtone, much more color options. They even have options for brown hair!
It stains my shower so badly though 😭
@@Shelf_Improvement clorox spray with bleach gets the stain off for me :)

@@coffeegirl18 so far Arctic Fox and Overtone were only two brands that makes pigmented products that I've tried. If you have light colored hair you can opt in for Arctic Fox, if not try Overtone. Make sure to buy gloves too!

The Aphogee two step protein treatment helps A MILLION with the reviving process. I killed my hair too with coloring it a lot and always having it straight but once I did that treatment & just started caring more for what I did to my hair, it went back to its normal awesomeness 🤗🤗🤗

Even though this dark pink is STUNNING on Kathleen, I think it would be even greater with a coppery red. Warm colors are sooo beautiful on her 😊
Tip for the curly girl method: clarify often! The sulfates are necessary once in a while to cleanse the oils and prevent dandruff! Speaking from experience🤦🏼♀️

One thing you can do is cut your color in half by adding an equal amount of conditioner. It lightens the color and makes it go much further. ❤👍 Cute hair. Cannot wait to see the fading process!!

@@HansonsPassion I actually like my grey hairs. Im lucky that they are like super platinum and shiny so they look cute. I think that I'm part of the minority of women who doesn't want to cover them. But I like fantasy colors also so......I dunno lol
since these only deposit color it won’t work on darker hair that isn’t already lifted/processed previously. BUT for something similar the brand Overtone has color depositing conditioners for dark hair and they work well
Stylist here- moisture moisture moisture!
To help revive them curls, use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner! Use a keratin or protein mask 1x a week (Amika the Kure is amazing). Use a moisturizing leave in (I LOVE IGK mistress ). I also use an oil- marrakesh oil in High Tide- it’s amazing. And Amika curl cream. I mix my curl cream with oil or my kenra air dry creme so it’s not so strong. Use these products in addition to your briogeo products, like in a rotation. A lot of people think to many products will weight your hair down, but it’s just using the wrong products that will do that.
I revived my waves using this method, it’s taken a little while, but it’s working and I’m wavier than I ever have been!
Edit: I realized all my go to products that I used to revive my wave have dimethicone In them. (Igk mistress, kenra air dry creme, AG conditioning mist) So sorry to not have any silicone free suggestions.

The masks are amazing! If you leave them in longer it is way more vibrate and lasts so much longer!!
Transitioning your hair back to curly after years of straightening is so hard! It took me almost a full year to get ringlets back, but it’s so worth it. My hair is way longer now and the curl is back. Stick with it and resist the curling iron, I promise it’s worth the awkward hair phases!

My hair is naturally curly as well but I found when I got older it wouldn’t curl as much when it was longer. My hair is also fine, so maybe that’s part of it. You have gorgeous hair Kathleen!

For those looking into products like this, I’d definitely recommend overtone. Not sure what the price difference is but I get at least 4-6 treatments out of the jar. Originally I had dark hair with blonde balayage so I bought the purple for brown hair and only the blonde took so now I have purple balayage. Love it!

KathleenLights it kinda does in the bowl, but not in my hair lol! I had really cool toned blonde before, so it just looks pastel pink in my hair which is what I was going for!
I work for M.oil. The color is made from there weightless moisture mask. It’s suppose to be applied on towel dried hair after it’s been washed.

I have this mask in my hair and my hair dresser tried it first shes my brother’s girlfriend and if you dont want it in your hair you can wash it real good with dawn soap and it will come out if yu really thats what my hairdresser did

When I first saw these on your IG Story (volume off) I thought they were baby food. I was sooo confused lol. Once I saw the label more clearly I realized it was a hair product.
Just an FYI before you starts a curly hair journey it’s important to do a reset wash which basically means using a clarifying shampoo the first wash with sulfates but no silicons. Hope that helps.

Kathleen!!! We have the exact same hair, texture, colour, lenght, everything. I wish I could show you a picture. Trust me, try the Shea Moisture raw shea and cupacu frizz defence styling gel-creme (the light green one) while styling with a denman brush. I'm telling you I've never seen my hair curl up like that, I moved up from mostly waves with spirals at the ends to mostly spirals. Love ittt!
