This is such a beautiful house. Why in the world they would demolish it is an absolute shame. I don’t care if it’s stealing, I’d be in there salvaging anything that I can take to preserve it. Especially the fireplace mantles, fixtures, crown moldings, French doors, shelving, cabinets, etc. They don’t make things like that anymore. 😢
Such a waste.I cant even imagine living in a house so big and beautiful! There was so much that could have been salvaged and repurposed. Thank you Ethan for preserving a memory of this beauty.
As a contractor i can assure you anything in the house of value such as Flooring, Countertops, fixtures and tile that can be salvaged will be. usually the items i mentioned can be used towards other builds.
It is waste …just a way to show off your money
Think anything like that being demolished is probably bad or was involved in satanic crap. Children. Two plus two
@@daviddubois5913I’m glad to hear that.
nothing but a status symbol to show off your wealth. Most of the rooms in these huge mansions are seldom used. The same in castles. How many of those 29 bedrooms, 35 bathrooms, 9 sitting rooms, 3 kitchens, 5 ballrooms, and 7 dining rooms were seldom used used. And not to mention the staff to run such an enormous ridiculous building, just so your neighbors, town folks and friends can get an understanding of what a wealthy moron you are for building such a huge waste of space in the first place. The mentality of some human beings??
Ethan, I am heart broken. This magnificent mansion should not be torn down. As I told you on your earlier video of this house, I once again caught my breath by the beauty of the round window in the master bath. The fixtures and sinks are so unique , and that kitchen! So sad. Did you notice that the glass of the sliding doors was crystal? Thank you for taking us through one more time.
Heart wrenching to know it will be destroyed. This home is actually in really good shape for being abandoned. Only a couple of leaks, the current one could have been one of the water heaters and could have been the yahoo's that played with the fire extinguishers. So many beautiful pieces, the front door, round window in the bathroom, all the wood architecture and the spiral staircase leading to the pool. Hard to understand why the owners didn't reside there. The gardens are gorgeous. Thank you for showing this beautiful home.
I can't believe that they would demolish all that architecture, but are not allowed to cut a few trees down.
@Donna di Lode They did. Watch the end. 😢
Could be mold. A "couple of leaks" will destroy every single item in a home, including the dwellers' lungs and brain. The bigger they are the harder they fall.
I live in California and I’ve been watching your videos all day. I am shocked by the demolition of this house and a few others. I know what area this is being done in and I’ve read it’s very affluent. I do not understand how this allowed?? This home I’m commenting on, the house with the Rolls in the garage and I think the 15 million should have never been demoed. Canada needs to protect these older, irreplaceable homes!! It’s downright sad… 😢
This is definitely my favorite property you've ever covered! It is so STELLAR!! They spared no exquisite detail with this one. Love the exterior and the property, totally incredible! 🤩 There were so many beautiful details, but that round window in the bathroom is one my very favorites! It is a total travesty that home will be demolished! Thanks for letting us see it one last time. 🤘✌️
Awesome
Ethan, I am so glad that you came back to this stunning home. You really appreciate the beauty and notice all the details. This home was so granduer and could have existed for years to come. I really appreciate all the work you put into each tour and that you really respect the properties you visit. Thank you.😍
I have no words.... Only tears...
You know this place was glamorous when it still looks so after being abandoned. They should have allowed people to come in and repurpose as much as possible before tearing it down. Thanks for bringing us along.
I agree. The waste is heartbreaking. Just the hardwood floors in the basement bar area would probably be enough to refloor our humble little home.
Yes this is stunning for sure. There is just too much development projects for new housing in Southern Ontario. There should be efforts to preserve immaculate homes like this one. 🙂
That house is just beautiful!!! I can't believe they're tearing it down!! 😢
It breaks my heart these beautiful homes are torn down. Thank you for the tour.
What upsets me is the waste! So much of the home could be reused. It's very sad that we have so many people that don't have anything and this really good stuff gets tossed.
So so beautiful. I can't believe they aren't repurposing the doors, mantles, molding, vanities, etc....I would think that someone would be willing to remove them for free (or even pay to take them). What a shame. The basement is crazy! Bomb shelter!?! Pool that converts to a ballroom? Too cool and now so wasteful... Thank you for showing us the inside and outside of this luxurious home.
What can they possibly want to build that makes it worth destroying such a beautiful piece of architecture? It's shameful. Thank you for showing it to us before it is demolished.
Beautiful home and grounds. Great tour. So sad that many
things can be saved and used for another home or
project. The staircase was
so impressive.
Ethan, you do such a great job of showing these abandoned homes🏘🏚🏠🏡 Thanks for sharing and
WHAT'S UP NEVER GETS
OLD 👍🖐😄🤣❤️💜💚
Absolutely makes you physically sick.
I just looked this place up and 7 years ago it was still lived in and beautiful.
68 Bridle Path, Toronto Canada. Because of their high taxes, they say new people cannot or will not purchase
I just can't believe they would tear down such a beautiful home. So sad that some people are so greedy and wasteful. It should be illegal to demolish a beautiful house like this!
If only there was a high financial penalty to anyone demolishing structurally sound buildings like this one, instead of repurposing it... Maybe they'd think twice before sinking their claws into them... Canada has a lot of valuable spots to build anew, it's not a tiny country like San Marino, for Pete's sake!
Oh my goodness, Ethan, this is incredibly unbelievable. It sickens and saddens me when I watched this video. This home is so amazing, only to be demolished. But since it's going to be torn down, why not allow those that can and are interested in salvaging some of the things inside. I noticed beautiful doors and windows. The kitchen cabinets, OMG! I would love to have. Pocket doors, fireplace mantles, crown moulding, etc. So sad for such a beautiful home. Fantastic job, AS ALWAYS, Ethan. Take care and be safe!
Omg the staircase!!! Very beautiful and the detail is amazing. Another beautiful find Ethan. Thank you for sharing with us.
Ethan I wanted to run an idea past you, I've been curious to see what buildings have been put up to replace these amazing places. Would you be up for doing revisits to show us before and after? Just to see if the replacements are worthy of the land they sit on. Cheers from the U.K 🇬🇧🤜🏻🤛🏻🇨🇦
That place is amazing i cant believe some idiot will tear it down to put up a few mc mansions . Great video ethan you rock
Such a beautiful house. It’s a shame that it has been taken down. I hope they did remove the historical mantles and valuable faucets before they tore it down. It seems wasteful not to repurpose them in future homes. I just discovered your channel and love these kinds of videos. Thank you for exploring and tell the history of these beautiful homes.
Omg this house is amazing!!! Love your finds 🥰 Thank you for keeping your videos real 💜💜
Where is the video of this house when it was lived in? Please? I would either like to see pictures or videos to get the "feel" of what it looked like it was supposed to look. It is so magnificent. The history. Thank you so much Ethan. Your the best explorer on you tube, seriously.
They filmed the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen ‘It takes two’ movie in this house
Ethan Dear you are the Best!!!!!! This house will always be my favorite of all time now besides the Mexican Mafia house with wonderful basement with the barrel bar. It's a shame it's getting torn down but thanks for revisiting this Beautiful House one last time and bringing us along. Thank You!!!!!
Ethan, good for you in recapturing this beautiful house! It deserves a hundred more times! I feel ennobled having been inside!
Thank you for all you do.
Love this house so much. Devastated that they would ever demolish something like this. Like what in the world would you replace this with?? Thanks for taking us through it one last time. 😢❤️
Hi Ethan..this house is just breathtaking!! Gorgeous!! Such a shame it will be demolished. I always wonder...what kind of employment do people have to afford such lavish homes. Also I think of the hardwork men put into this home and other mansions to build. Soo much waste with everything ...soo sad!! Thanks Ethan.
sad it's being demolished 😢😢. an incredibly beautiful house
Thank you Ethan for showing this again. Basement was spooky to me. Beautiful home.. another great video. 👏👏👏👏😄😄😄
Whoever needs to salvage alot of the materials, windows, countertops, trim details and if nothing else donate to charity such as "Habitat for humanity "
This makes me so sad, I live in a house built in 1905. We are restoring/renovating it. It’s our forever home. We love all the amazing workmanship ! Anyway this house is gorgeous. Thanks for showing!
Wow, this mansion is INCREDIBLE!! I can’t even imagine being that rich. I would love to see that video of this place when is was lived in, just to see the furnishings and chandeliers!
Thank you Ethan for going back before this mansion is no more
✌🏻❤️
My goodness who would do the cleaning ? You would need a entire staff .....
I can imagine anything.
There is a short video from when the house was for sale called "Inside 68 The Bridle Path" from the Financial Post channel.
@@jcee8493 Thanks for this. I looked it up and wow it was great to see what it looked like 👍
ua-cam.com/video/Vy06FgHVHRE/v-deo.html Here you go.
This place is so beautiful it hurts. 😫😩
So many great details.
This property is unbelievable. How can you afford to purchase this property, tear it down and rebuild. The money people have. Thanks for the revisit.
Thank you for another great video!
hi Ethan,Yes I have seen that house previously by you,its really beautiful.I love the front door and I love the whole entire house and the fireplaces.I love the round window in the bathroom with the fancy tub.It just saddens me that its getting torn down.At the very end of the video my eyes watered and it mad me sad for such a beautiful mansion being wasted like that.I like when you go back to the houses you have been to and see how they look like months down the road.Hope you do another revisit at another beautiful mansion.See you again Ethan, always be your cool self🏎😎 and never change🤩
There is a video of this estate on the Financial Post UA-cam channel. The second owner gives a brief tour of the fully furnished home. Very interesting to see it in its former glory!
wow Ethan, what a massive shame that this mansion was demolished! love that you put the pictures at the end of it being knocked down!
Such a waste, surely they will salvage all the doors ,windows,French doors, pocket doors, bathrooms,,A very beautiful home.👍❤️🇺🇸
I hope so! Even the claw foot tub, light fixtures, and sinks. All those items could be sold or donated for people building homes. That way the pieces could get new life.
I always love your videos and am thankful you chose to comeback. But, I've never been so angry seeing all this go to waste. Stay safe Ethan!
Ethan, can you keep an eye out on this property and given us an update when something is built there? I would love to see what this beauty is going to be replaced with.
Yeah we need to see what they build here! What a dream house!
It'll be replaced by a 1,000 one bedroom unit apartment building built with cardboard and glue at $2500 a month rent.
they’re replacing it with a 96,000 sqft home. it will be the largest house in canada.
@@ethanminnie Man its sickening anybody could be that rich and not be happy with the house the way it is now that's just insane...
@@pinballdan Agreed.
👏👏Someone finally bought a good light👍👍
The tear down is shameful, literally took my breath away. Such a horrible waste.
Thank you for the thorough revisit, I love this place. So sad it is going to be demolished. Love all of your videos and your love for the 80's and all good things! Hope you are doing well.
My gut churns thinking of all that marble in a landfill. Thanks for the return Ethan...she was a great thing of beauty until the end. I think the soundproofed room may have been designed a gun firing range. The length and width looks similar.
So I had to Google. The club was a recording studio. The faucets are not gold. And by not opening the closets in the basement, you completely missed the bomb shelter. According to a contractor, the springers were responsible for the hand carved ceilings and a lot of the fine details. They wanted to be a remake of a French chateau. According to that contractor, a lot of very classy features were removed by the sprinters. Said the boss of the update took most of those items as Springers did not want them. There are demo pics August 2022. What a dam* shame.
I see now this is an update and you found the shelter.
Why would anyone destroy these homes. Imagine the people that would be forever grateful to have a home so beautiful. People with this much money, have lost the ability to know the feeling of being grateful.😢
This place is stunning, in side & out. Glad you showed it again Ethan. What a shameful waste. It just hurts to think about the waste.
Thanks for the revisit! What a house! Almost cried at the end.......
One of my favorites! I love the painted murals so much. When I was a kid my big sister took me to this European spa sometimes and it had that deep water freeze tank. She went in it all the time. If I recall correctly the water temperature said 45°F
I would not go in it! 🥶
I went for the pool. 🏊♀️ 😃
That was such a great video Ethan. It’s so sad what happened to that beautiful house. Such a shame.
Oh don’t demolish this beautiful home!! Ugh. Such a shame. Great explore Ethan! Love love love it 🥰🥰🥰
Who could forget that place? I remember being at a complete loss for words the 1st time and then you showed the master bath with that classic claw foot tub and gorgeous round window. That was hook, line & sinker for me. As stunning and breathtaking as this mansion is, it's still extremely excessive to me. I will never understand why anyone needs such a massive place other than for reasons of vanity & materialistic desires. Shame that something so extraordinary is just going to be nothing more than rubble soon. Thanks for letting us explore it with you one last time! Sad to see that one go. Pics at the end were heart crushing.
Tragic loss. Your pain was evident in your voice and on your face. Thanks for the follow-up photos of the demo. Nice work!!!
I hope someone got a salvage permit and saved all the beautiful things that were left behind!
The wrought iron front doors were amazing! I hate to think of everything being destroyed 😢
Wow! Very luxurious. Thank you for your appreciation of these homes & sharing them💕
Wow beautiful thanks see you soon
Thank you so much for filming this house and saving it virtually forever. I loved touring it with you and was glad for that opportunity. Keep up the awesome work, we really do appreciate all the time and work you put into all these wonderful videos!👏👍❤🇺🇸
BEAUTIFUL ❤️ Thank You For The Revisit!!! Your AWESOME
Thank you Ethan for showing this Place before it is toren down I pray that the will take out all the Fireplaces and The kitchen Appliances
I'm dumbfounded, can someone tell me why they're tearing this down? There isn't a billionaire around that would say sure I'll take this? And if you are tearing it down why are you leaving all that expensive stuff inside? I don't get it. Your videos Rock
I love your videos, and glad you revisited this wonderful house. I had not seen it before, glad you showed it again, keep up the good work, your personality shines, as you show these “treasures”, what a waste. Thanks Ethan 😉 Emily
around 9:50 is a great demonstration of how voice reflection is absorbed in a studio room like that!
This house is so huge and rambling anyone could hide inside that basement and go completely unnoticed for *days* . That staircase is my absolute favorite style. But can you imagine what a money pit this house must be? I would imagine the cost of upkeep, even for a billionaire, would be daunting!
This house is absolutely breathtaking. It doesn’t make sense that they demolished it. I don’t understand why they tore it down instead of selling it. Something so absolutely beautiful seems like such a waste of beauty and art. Wow. It really makes me sad. Thank you Ethan for sharing this.
Thank you for going back to explore this beautiful home
Yep, a bunch of evil people were in that home..Good to demolish and start a new..
huh? lol
This is beautiful! It's one of the best houses you toured. I can't imagine why they are tearing it down. They should just update a few things and then it into a hotel. It's big enough and it's elegant!
This is just amazing. I'm so glad you went back. I love your videos that explore the more modern or glamorous properties and I love how respectful you are..keep up the great work I love your channel 👍
I googled this mansion and fund pics of it all furnished, it was such a beautiful building ,I’m truly devastated to know it was demolished 😢 sad
Love this home!! Thank you for sharing this beauty! And Ethan!! The zig-zag pattern on the floor is called “Chevron.”
Thank you for coming back. This one is always amazing. I should say was.
Good afternoon Ethan 🤗. I really appreciate you showing these homes they are so beautiful and it sickens me to know that they can’t salvage some of the stuff that you have shown like the marble or the granite or the doorways or the windows even the molding can be taken down if they just take the time to resolve what they have in these homes because there’s so many people working class that can’t even afford such things as what you have shown in these high quality homes and I think it’s just appalling on how we are such a throwaway society when normal people that works hard for the most part of their lives are not even able to afford such beauty and high quality of what you have shown in these homes continue to keep up the good work and thank you so very much but at the same time it saddens my heart you take care and be safe🤠
Great job as usual, Ethan! What a beautiful place. I love your enthusiasm! Keep 'em coming, please!
Hey Ethan! That's such an incredibly beautiful home, wow! It's stunning bro. Great video! Love ya!
So glad that you went back. Saw this on TV rather than phone or tablet. I will miss those murals .
This house is so beautiful. Thanks for the re-visit. What a treasure to lose.
Thank you for doing what you do!!! It’s so authentic and you care
Loved this revisit. Thanks for this second view. How sad they are tearing it down.
This house is an art work , it’s a crime to not preserve it, such waste. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the great explore and for the before and after the start of demolition
So sad to see such a beautiful home destroyed.
In Alberta we have habitate fir humanity restores. It's basically a store you go to that has cabinets, lights, baseboards and stuff like that from houses being torn down. It's to bad that house was not gutted before it was torn down. That is the saddest part of the whole thing.
Good one! Great job as always!
Absolutely stunning home! I really hope they can take some of the beautiful features like the gorgeous fireplaces and the round window from the master bathroom and salvage them before the demolition begins. Thank you for the great explore and stay safe✌🏻
I enjoyed every minute of this beautiful home. Thank you Ethan for sharing it again
This Mansion is absolutely amazing !😍
I'd spent most of my adult life building houses, and I'd even built additions on high end homes in Philadelphia, but I'm in awe in the wasted craftsmanship that was put into this house. Such a shame.
What’s up you guy!!!! Thanks for the revisit before they Tear it down. Got to see a little more this one and the last one thank you. Keep up the great work thanks for sharing the videos
Ethan this is one of the most beautiful home you have done. I am really glad you did come back to it. Keep up the good work.
Stunning home thank you for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤
Such a magnificent mansion with a little of Italy murals on top floor.
Gorgeous.
Keep these videos coming.
Great job Ethan.
Beautiful and wasteful
What a shame it's torn down. Such a magnificent property
what a beautiful home wow is all I can say thanks for sharing !!!!
Great look to it. Bummer it had to be demolished. I liked it a lot. Thanks.
Outstanding video Ethan 👍 I’m really enjoying this video and thank you for sharing it too ❤️ Have a great day 😎 Be careful and stay safe out there 🙏
We are such a wasteful society. This is a beautiful house. In Europe houses houses are hundreds of years old but here a mansion built in 1988 isn't good enough.
