Chris…filet one of the Herring, and put a Herring strip on the hook under the hoochie…I do pretty well on the Salmon off Bodega with that rig..it should produce for Halibut…the Herring needs to be brined first, since they’re too soft to last very long on the hook if they’re not brined
Thanks again for having us Chris! I learned a ton and had even more fun!! Cant wait for the next trip, or next time you come up our way! Keep killing it bro!! - Tanner
Hey Chris , appreciate your content and expertise , “Looks pretty good “ on crippled herring ?? Understatement !! Looks out of this world wounded fish extreme !! No wonder you slay them!!
Great video , love how your not afraid to try new techniques all the time seems to work really well for you . I was contemplating rolling a large brads cut plug for Hallie’s Sunday . I have lots of river salmon gear collecting dust. Curious if you have tried it , am I wasting time with it? Also how do manage to get such great conditions out there all the time, every time I go it’s the damn Bering sea out ther😂, good luck on your next trip , looking forward to your next video
have you ever used down riggers to troll those big flashers? I've only ever trolled with a big sinker like in your video but I think without It the fight may be better. id like to see someone try that. great video, thanks
I think it could work if you were familiar with the water you were fishing. But overall easier to the find the bottom I am guess with weights on the line. Thanks for watching
@@MrTahoeBob I would highly recommend them. You probably checked the website out already, Another good contact is Reel Custom Boat Works. They sell and install Burnewiin. Could answer any questions you had. Have a great day and thanks for watching!
@@ChrisPfish2 They look awesome!!! I contacted them, and I'm hoping they can get me an adapter for scotty mounts. I already have those all over the boat. I would hate to retool. If you have any influence on them, let them know that I'm pretty sure many of us would be interested in the rod holders, but already have mounts on the boats. Let's see where this goes.
appreciate the nice comment. Its a grind for sure, I dont push it with flashy subscribe buttons. I do have the best subscribers though and appreciate every single one of them!
