I bought a Cada set from Ali last month. A Japanese building. Cada doesn’t have many sets, but the quality seems good to me. Does anyone have experience with Cada and would care to share it? In particular I’m curious about how it compares to other brands.
i have no experiacne with cada buldings but from what i heard they are pretty good. Cada Masters is the best technic brand in the game if you want a nice supercare the AMG ONE from cada beats out every lego set by a mile and is cheaper to boot. (275 id say a lego set with the same fetures motoriziantion and license would be 600+) problem can be they are definatly harder to build more as they lake colorcodign for example. obviously this results in a way better looking end product.
I am currently building a set that is made by LOZ and the have the type of sets I am looking for because I love the Asian themed shops and stuff I found them through Amazon
Lego Original Minifigs all the way, some clones are okay, but I prefer Lego. and generally do not keep any alternative Minifigs even when I keep the Sets they came in. one thing I noted when looking at the Kazi Trains, is no mention of minifigs, I'd not want to get a set and find the train is a "mini model" using lego and so cannot use Minifigs, my son would not be too pleased, lol.
Other brands are Pantasy, Funwhole, Reobrix, Wange, Panlos, Mould King, Zhe Gao, Mork, Urge, Forange, DeCool, Qman/Keeppley, CaDa and more. Cobi and Mega have bricks that physically fit with Legos, but their colours are mostly different and they have a very specialised selection. And they are no more made in sweatshops than most other mass products, I would feel a lot more awful to buy shirts from certain brands than a set of bricks from one of these companies.
Wait??? Sluban has good brick quality now? I remember hating it when I was a kid back then since they're the worst plastic quality wise. And far behind the competition like Kazi, Star Diamond, Gudi, Enlighten, LWDragon, Zephyr Knight, Ligao, etc. Did they improved in the last couple of years?
I built the Sluban KA-52 recently and the parts quality is really good and consistent while being equally as consistent when combining it with genuine lego parts for mocs and custom builds
Alternative bricks are not as good when building over and over again because they are not too refined. But if you buy something to keep it as it is for display , then you can get it at a 30% price
they arleady lost that lawsuite years ago they still try to pretend like the own the brick though. but they dont. they own the minifigs design though thats why all the competions figus look so differnet.
Call me a meat rider all you want nothing beats Lego I get custom, guns and train tracks but anything else is a no to me I’d much rather have flies come out my wallet then buy from sweatshops
Your right. Nothing beats LEGO in Price, decreasing brick quality and terrible/lazy set designs. The boxes are only half filled and the instructions are made for 3 year olds. That's great for the environment. Plus all the colors of the rainbow on the inside of sets. And even on the outside in Technic sets (blue pins). I have built so many better brands in the last 6 months, I don't remember ever having a better experience with LEGO.
Lego is a multi-billion-dollar corporate behemoth infamous for sending its lawyers after little mom-and-pop brick shops in Europe to shut them down and for manipulating fans through its ethically dubious LAN. Their quality control has been slowly declining, and their sets are mostly boring, predictable, and way too easy for an experienced, adult builder. And of course, their prices are outrageous. Some of the competition, like Cobi, Cada, and Pantasy, are putting out sets with more interesting desings, equal or superior quality, better prices, and cool licenses that Lego doesn't have.
We have waited for 8 months and the LEGO set is still not done lmao

They really seem to have improved a lot. Though I can only relay what others have told me.

Cobi and Pantasy bricks are every bit as good as Lego.
One day Lego will come with a team of Lawyers at your house and then explain them that those fake bricks are interchangabele with Lego bricks.😂

Lego has factories in China as well as do these companies.The Only brands without factories in china are Oxford and Cobi!
