In this video, I will show you how to use the free EQ, Nova, from TDR, in order to strategically carve and shape the frequencies in your project. My new beats channel → @prodbydaws
instant sub, just because there is no tutorial like this on UA-cam, i am hooked. please don't stop this series. I haven't explored your channel yet so i don't know if you have completed the TDR NOVA or general eq tutorial series. it is just because i was seriously looking for something like this from a week and watched numerous tutorials and those aren't beginner friendly but there titles are misleading and because of this youtube algo kept showing or suggesting me those but after a week youtube understood that i was looking for something like this, stupid youtube algo. after many searches i found this 1, it is like "finding a needle in a haystack".
Thanks Dawson for the much appreciated good clear info delivered at a nice clear pace! I've been exploring ways to have vocals "sit" in a mix and this TDR Nova will help greatly as it acts as an EQ sweep, (something I've only recently discovered I've needed, duh!?) Alan, with the Myer Hollow project.
ay my friend! thank you for the support fam. check out TDRs compressor too if you have a chance! super great plugins, even the free 'stripped down' versions have a lot to offer
Wow thank you so much for the supportive comment. You rock fam! Keep on pushing, learning, stay inspired! Pretty soon you'll look back and think "Haha... Remember when I had to learn about EQ!" Keep producing hard fam 👊🏻
wow thank you so much 🤩 i agree with you... i should have added more examples. i do have another video on the way that goes more into basic use cases of an EQ though! thanks for the feedback fellow musician 🤛🏻
Hey man I am still working on these TDR tutorials! Unfortunately I still have a lot to cover, I'll definitely keep making concise tutorials like this one though. I'm releasing one like this but about compression on the 17th, on this main channel. I have a tutorial on Fruity Reeverb and Fruity Delay, good FX plugins for beginner producers. Thanks for the support if you have specific questions don't hesitate to ask or find me on Instagram (same user names) Have a great day fam thanks again
If you go to the top bar, you'll see three buttons that say "Precise" "Stereo" "Int SC" in default. If you click the "Stereo" button, you get a drop down where you can choose to process the signal in either mono, stereo, left or right. Hope that answers your question!
Also, if you click the "?" button in the top right corner, it will turn on "Dynamic Help Mode" where you'll see a short definition of any function you hover over with your mouse.
You obviously know your stuff and the information you offer is of high quality. But, please, learn from a very experienced teacher - one voice at a time is enough. The music (which includes voices) is very distracting. I had to stop listening after 1 minute.
Thanks for the easy to understand video, Dawson
