You will always get louder at a lower ohm, but you lose some control or "sound quality" when you go lower in ohm. Difference to most people will be negligible though if you are just pushin DB's.
whats better in theory.....running 2ohms at say 75% gain on amp....or 1 ohm at say 40% gain on the amp
Gain isn’t volume knob, supposed to match rca pre-out voltage. 1 oh. Would be louder then 2 ohm just tune properly

Hey if any one with REAL BOX knowledge can help..so im building my 2nd box and i know jacob never responds but my question is i speced it to 34hz with the slot in front and thats where this program showed me mounting the subs because it had no other options..MY QUESTION is can i mount the subs on top like this box as i do not see how it could affect anything different its still 6.0 cubic feet weather subs mounted in front pr on top??any advice would be apprciated as im assembling tonite and cutting sub holes tomorrow night

Mounting on different panels of the enclosure definately have an effect on the output of the enclosure. Think of pointing a fan in a different direction, the wind will hit different locations. Same with inside of enclosure. Your soundwaves are hitting off of a siffefent internal panwl than the design function of box. May not be a huge difference, but there is one.

Fred's advice is sound, even if the analogy wasn't the best... But enclosure design software assumes that ports will either straight, L-shaped, or tubular. For an L-shaped port, it'd be an absolute "no-no" to put your opening anywhere other than intended, whereas with a tube you'll not get your intended tuning. A straight port (which is what I'm assuming you're using) would react as Fred described, as well as likely adding some to the impedance properties of the install, though unless you're going for every tenth, it'd hardly be worth worrying about... I'm assuming by the time you read this that you'll have started cutting, so just keep it to a 90° max rotation to the port and you'll be fine, as a 180° would be problematic.

I find nothing wrong with Jacob's videos, they are informative, educational, entertaining, why you gotta try and bring him down when you're not anywhere close to his experience and expertise? Seems almost like Jacob does this for a living, idk if he does, but do you make any money off your videos?? It's not easy with editing, environmental variables, numerous cameras, there's no reason for you to talk $hit but whatever, you don't HAVE to be a cool person I guess.
