- Major astronomic discovery - First female Mexican President - Major developments in medicine - Efforts to fix damages to the environment News that are incredibly important, but which no media picks up on because people don't click it. Humans have a negativity bias.
I have a small concern about those carbon-storing blocks, I’m pretty sure the act of vegetation breaking down is vital for the soil ecosystem and could negatively affect the topsoil health and the life inhabiting it which is already in a bad place in many areas.
Love the news, but sometimes a bit to wage Like the prostate cancer part, there could have been a percentage of how good it is? "Better" cannot be used
It’s pretty much “at birth, what is the average time this person will live” so if a baby dies it’ll bring down the average life expectancy. Same thing with car accidents etc. This doesn’t mean that people will live to only ~70 but that on average people in general live to ~70, most people will generally live much longer. I’m pretty sure it’s an active number that just gets updated every once in a while but for stuff in the video it’s all projected lifespans based on data they have.
Forgive me if I sound weird for this but am I the only one who feels slightly panicky and starts feeling anxious and sadness over new things being built and developed on what could have been preserved for biodiversity and species. I hate seeing land cleared for our greed because while it may serve a good for us it can harm other species weather human or not and I feel empathetic and sad for animals and plants cause in a way your harming them. But am I a weirdo for that? I just hope it’s not me.
❤ Wish You all the best. In my view it means You'd rather be careful and take things slow and have great instinctive humility facing the millions of years of evolution stabilizing to the point that we could easily thrive, that's nothing to be ashamed of, perhaps You feel strange because You attained this view through some harsher and/or reclusive experiences, which might be holding You back in some other areas, but as You will learn to consciously discern and work with these biases and identify their correct places, You will unpack and utilize them as these gifts of precision and sensitivity which they can be. 👌🏻😉 One more great thing to remember though, is that we can be a harmonious part of nature, if we learn to co-create, protect and support all life, rather than just exploit it. ❤
