Understand that you are always evolving as an artist, continually honing your craft. I still struggle with this, and it can be incredibly hard, but you should be proud of your successes. the taking breaks one is AMAZING, very underrated bro, some time ago i took a break from art for a while because i didnt have motivation, maybe 2-4 months later i came back to it and REALLY improved, compared to before the break and after theres a lot of improvement, if you are doing bad at art and dont have motivation, please take a break
didn’t hear “so I had a the delusional idea…” this saturday but still great!!! ❤❤ also i like doing little doodles before drawing sometthing but warm up sketches dont feel necessary also u inspire me the most! (just got to the message)
What inspires me to create is the ability to express myself without words or descriptions or yk, since i do struggle expressing my emotions sometimes, from crying uncontrollably and not knowing how to talk to someone to not being able to cry at all, so art is sort of like a different way of speaking who i am without having to say words. and also tbh, so many things in life are beautiful and inspire me so much as well. it’s something that makes me and others really happy, and i also want to inspire others with my art. anyways loving the new video viyaura >:)

@@LunaofthenightNono dont apologize that was great ^^ I do sometimes struggle showing my art to others but you definitely should keep doing that, helps a lot
As someone on the autism spectrum, I get the emotional thing so much!!! I've made the decision to break away from the abusive cycle with repressing my emotions like my toxic parent has conditioned me with, and i find my feelings feel so much more authentic.
OMG THIS VIDEO WAS JUST WHAT I NEEDED❤ So Im not that good at art. But I just started on a goal to draw every Day in a month - mainly to learn the basics. Even if it’s just a sketch, it counts. SOOOO I was kinda searching around the internet to find art tips. And I Will say it. There’s A LOT, of them. So this video was such a good guide. Thank you! Love your work, you make me happy❤
Self deprecating is a thing I used to do a lot when I was younger, sometimes I would show my art to someone like a class mate or friend, and they would say “wow you drew this?!” But other times they would say, “oh cool” and that made me think they didn’t like it, and I got very hard on myself and kept saying to myself, “my arts not good, nobody likes it, I’ll never be good at art” and it made me very upset, and for a while I just stopped drawing because I thought would never be good at it, I started again a few years ago and seeing this really helps!
I personally get inspired to create pretty much only through input from others. I love visualizing the ideas others have, I love drawing other peoples characters from a reference in my own art style and I love drawing all the ideas me and one of my best friends have when obsessing over any fictional character. So it comes down to being inspired by friends, (small!) art communities and commissions. I have found that larger art communities often make you feel unseen if you don't already have a following or are extremely skilled. I personally recommend art discord groups that focus on a topic that you like. To me it's mostly been ARPGs.
Usually the weirdest situations inspire me to create something great! Like if I am just playing Gacha club and remember lyrics to a song I immediately come up with a completely unrelated character😂😂. But I also like to have other people tell me about some character they came up with and I’ll just be seeing what I think it looks like. For example if they tell me about something that happened when I wasn’t there I immediately visualize what I think it looked like, ITS UNCONTROLLABE😂😂
thank you for addressing the self-deprecating point... We shouldn't be so hard on ourselves all the time, its important to treat ourselves with love as well.
A great wide ranging, thought provoking video! The Zen of illustrative creativity! Thanks! Myself, I limit myself to one reviewer, a long time friend who teaches art. My novel illustrations get put aside for at least one day, with multiple musings, then they get a much needed touch up. That works for me. With my landscape, space scenes, or wildlife paintings it’s different, they get stared at for at least a week. Sometimes longer. True Art is a temporal process, AI is simply putting white bread in a toaster! POP, there it is! Done!
SAAAAME but whenever i do ACTUALLY draw necks (extensions from the main body shape dont count) its just this incomplete horizontal rectangle/square from the top of the shape
I'm inspired by all the great art I see everywhere, especially since it's always some form of self expression. Be it illustrations, music or video games. A piece of art is a story that tells many more stories and that's beautiful
Lots of good ideas, glad I subbed. Not once did you prescribe an exact way of doing something as a superior or correct way. You have no idea how much that means to someone like me who spun their wheels for years too anxious to draw because I was worried about doing the wrong thing instead of finding my own solutions to problems.
2:52 perspective study is EXTREMELY underrated, i started studying it recently and applying those techniques i learned leveled up the look of my pieces by SOOO much
I like the “trying knew art styles”, there are people that i know who i think draw extremely well. One of then even taught me their style and i loved it! I slowly started to adjust the style and now i make art that i love, and i use a style that i can call my own!
I first got inspired to draw when I saw my friend, and I thought she was just amazing, so I asked her to teach me. I had never before had an interest in art but it’s become part of my life and I’m so grateful to her because she started me on my art journey
Yk everything inspires me, good or bad art idc all it does is progress me further. My reason that I keep on going is because I actually find fun in art, there's nothing pressuring I just adore it and seeing other people's works, their love and encouragement that they give makes the journey even more fun. clout isn't what I chase, it just makes me happy
7:50 here’s how I think about it let’s say you got 20 likes on a drawing, that’s not a lot right? But if 20 people came up to you when you were drawing and said that it was good, I would feel thankful, because if 20 people say they like your art then it has to be good, because there are artists out there who aren’t even getting one like
It ticks me off what you call a "sketch". If I could make it that level of work without making at least 3 sketches of it before hand, then maybe I'd do art more often. You're such an amazing artist and so humble about it, maybe a little too humble. I'm yapping here but it's okay to admit how great your art is.
5:02 : oh this is me everyday😭because I don't have a community on social media and I'm feeling very alone😓the best is to continue to draw and try to forgot this even if it's very hard😅
hii i’m pretty sure its unlawful to advertise a sponsorship without explicitly stating its a sponsor. although we all know it is, i dont want you getting in trouble somehow
@@Lavenderina_Garden other youtubers SHOULD be saying "this video is sponsored by..." or some variation. this video has absolutely no mention of it being a sponsorship, they're only promoting the brand.
@@Lavenderina_Garden still illegal. FCC guidelines say that creators are required to CLEARLY and ACCESSIBLY say that content is paid promotion before the promotion.
4:28 THIS. THIS FR !! Whenever I was too critical on myself when doing art, I BARELY improved. then suddenly the improvement spike came the moment I became extremely confident
0:48 I trace stuff all the time so I can make my stuff look better I don't like choice random people heads. I usually trace when I'm trying to draw but if I am trying to draw a head, I usually don't trace
it really just depends on how you trace like if you are spreading false info like "oh i made this myself" when you traced it thats overrated but if you do it to study and practicing through that thats underrated
Idk i keep maintaining tracing is not good on anything, like that "it helps to you know where put your hand" is so "imma use Training wheels in a bicycle competition training because it helps you stay balanced" and when the competition starts you have 0 idea how to do it without them
I would challenge this by saying this does not equate to a bicycle competition. Someone who is at the beginning of their art journey does not need to worry about being at a competitive level yet. It is much closer to a younger child learning to ride a bike. Eventually you want to take off those training wheels, but in art it's a bit different as well. Riding a bike is more like one skill. Art is much more broad. You might take off those 'training wheels' for one art technique, but still have them on for others you haven't learned yet.
@@stetson_newsie2600 is not about being competitive, its about doing thinks by yourself, you can watch 1000 youtube tutorials to learn how to do anything but if you never do it that will not happen, just like tracing, you can say is helpful but if your only way to learn is tracing then its not a way to learn, its a excuse, also even tho if someone does it to learn, without posting it or saying is he own drawing, it can help but just like how to handle the pen to do differents lines, longer shorter bla bla, but there's better and more efficient ways to learn it
5:28 I actually agree with trying different art styles. For the longest time, I didn't have my own art style, I just drew in whatever style I felt like it. Sometimes I would see something on pinterest and then I would try to replicate that style, sometimes I would see stuff on tiktok and try to replicate that style too. Over time, I did gain my own artstyle and different bits and pieces of the other styles I drew in became part of my style. Trying different art styles helped me form my art style.
Hot Take: As an art kid running a channel with a non- art kid, yes, if someone asks you to draw something for them do it. I know the "can you draw meee? 🥺" from random people gets annoying, but if it's your friend, who knows? Get yourself out there, it's good practice! -Star
My art turns out good because I draw everyday but I do weekly challenges. These are challenges where I pick a way to draw and try use it lots through out the week. 1 week I might choose digital and 1 might be paint. This really helped me also unlock new skills, like colour as I'm not someone who likes paint and colour pencils

You have no idea how much that means to someone like me who spun their wheels for years too anxious to draw because I was worried about doing the wrong thing instead of finding my own solutions to problems.
2:32 it’s Dewey!!
Why viyaura is my fav art tyber : her voice, her art, her content, her art skills❤
She didn't say "I had the delusional idea" 😭
Whys everybody being stupid
:OO “ASTONISHING!”
:OO “THAT’S CRAZY”
:OO “THAT’S INSANE!”
You a 100% inspire me to try new styles of art and I am so glad I see your videos.
1:26 TACHIHARA SPOTTED!!! WE ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2:52 perspective study is EXTREMELY underrated, i started studying it recently and applying those techniques i learned leveled up the look of my pieces by SOOO much
1:11 Okay but what are Tachihara and Gin doing here
I like the “trying knew art styles”, there are people that i know who i think draw extremely well. One of then even taught me their style and i loved it! I slowly started to adjust the style and now i make art that i love, and i use a style that i can call my own!
4:32 not the emoji eyes 😭😂
8:21 forget 70, I would literally fly into outer space with 10
your the one that inspires me viyaura!! Ur art is so good and it helps me alot❤
3:50 was way too smooth 💀
The furry fandom inspires me to draw.
Wait-
Same! The furry fandom is so supportive!
OH WELL- thats interesting....
@@Cheeseislifelol I'm talking in general. I love the furry fandom.
@@amir78989me too.
VERY true about warm up-scetches and taking breaks. With warm up-scetches, only do 'em if you're feeling uninspired or tired or something.
11:16
HOW DARE YOU!!! YOU CANNOT CONTROL ME!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I have a desk to clear off >_> XD
I first got inspired to draw when I saw my friend, and I thought she was just amazing, so I asked her to teach me. I had never before had an interest in art but it’s become part of my life and I’m so grateful to her because she started me on my art journey
1:20 I spy Tachihara
Yk everything inspires me, good or bad art idc all it does is progress me further. My reason that I keep on going is because I actually find fun in art, there's nothing pressuring I just adore it and seeing other people's works, their love and encouragement that they give makes the journey even more fun. clout isn't what I chase, it just makes me happy
2:08 this can be used for a concept called color temperature
But idk, what even IS color theory exactly?
5:04 best motivation heard this year 🫶🫶
My inspiration to create...
IT'S VIYAURA!! 🧡
viyaura in her non delulu ideas❤
viyaura inspires me so much and always reminds me how much I SUCK at art
okay not really but I still love viyaura
What inspires me to draw is...
You!
Im gonna come back to this video everytime I need art inspiration because idk why but it inxpires me so much to draw something
7:50 here’s how I think about it let’s say you got 20 likes on a drawing, that’s not a lot right? But if 20 people came up to you when you were drawing and said that it was good, I would feel thankful, because if 20 people say they like your art then it has to be good, because there are artists out there who aren’t even getting one like
Everything kind of inspires me but what inspires me most is seeing new ways to draw, techniques, or other forms of drawing, painting, etc.
It ticks me off what you call a "sketch". If I could make it that level of work without making at least 3 sketches of it before hand, then maybe I'd do art more often. You're such an amazing artist and so humble about it, maybe a little too humble. I'm yapping here but it's okay to admit how great your art is.
You inspire me to create art and anyone I show my art to.

Honestly, idk what started my art hobby, but I know %1,000,000,000 that *_ORB_* is the person that keeps me motivated
11:59 I draw every day so far I can improve and draw more complex art skilled things.

0:04 THATS SOME FACTS RIGHT THERE 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Eh my guess was close!
True facts she's speaking!!! ❤
Im so glad you included "perspective study" and "trying different artstyle", i have like 4 artstyle rn..
hii i’m pretty sure its unlawful to advertise a sponsorship without explicitly stating its a sponsor. although we all know it is, i dont want you getting in trouble somehow
But other UA-camrs do that
@@Lavenderina_Garden other youtubers SHOULD be saying "this video is sponsored by..." or some variation. this video has absolutely no mention of it being a sponsorship, they're only promoting the brand.
@@Lavenderina_Garden still illegal. FCC guidelines say that creators are required to CLEARLY and ACCESSIBLY say that content is paid promotion before the promotion.
@@Sageburnsremovesghosties I just don't see them until they mention it in the comments. And would they go to jail? I think so
4:55 that what happened to me 😀 and that's why I completely stopped doing anything with art/drawing
OK! ILL AVOID THEM!
viyaura, you're my inspiration to keep on making art
8:14 me getting 10 likes and celebrating😂
4:28 THIS. THIS FR !!
Whenever I was too critical on myself when doing art, I BARELY improved. then suddenly the improvement spike came the moment I became extremely confident
0:48
I trace stuff all the time so I can make my stuff look better I don't like choice random people heads. I usually trace when I'm trying to draw but if I am trying to draw a head, I usually don't trace
it really just depends on how you trace like if you are spreading false info like "oh i made this myself" when you traced it thats overrated but if you do it to study and practicing through that thats underrated
Viyaura and orb. Both of them my favorite and inspire me a lot
You’re one of ny fav UA-camrs, viyaura! You give great advice and tips and you’re so good at art! I hope you have a great day! ^^
