I watched the reveal, and was delighted to see Rivian's vision and plans. I wish you the best in the implementation! It's just unfortunate that your up-and-coming models aren't here now, for I just bought my 3rd EV, a hatchback crossover, and might have opted for yours instead.
Oh .. just btw, when the first R2 Hits production (?) Tesla will have sold at least 4 million more cars. . Their reaction was "Oh ... Rivian launched... 2026? Really?.... ok... Back to work...."
@@rogerstarkey5390and how many cars had Ford sold by the time the original Roadster hit the streets. Even how many Nissans were on the road. Just because there’s major players in a space doesn’t mean that new ones can’t pop up. The biggest hurdle for EV adoption is charging. The new Rivians now use the NACS connection and are positioned on the car to make them compatible with the existing Tesla charging network. To think that R2 isn’t going to shake things up is wild.
I'm going to reserve one next week! My friend already did as well. Even though it comes out in 2026, that gives me time to save a load of money to hopefully have half or majority of it paid off. Good job!
@JazzTechie yeah I get to save a lot until then and put down about $12,000 or more on it. I was a bit disappointed it won't come out till 2026 but then I thought it could give me time to save up enough so I can add some add on to it without sacrifice
I know you guys have been struggling in a tough environment, but I love your cars, and what you stand for. My only complaint is that you haven’t come to Europe yet. These cars would be snapped up in seconds over here.
I can't wait for it to come out. Test drove a r1s the other day and I loved it. Just don't need a 3 row vehicle. Excited for the r2 to come out. Really thinking about purchasing it when it comes out. Few things I would love to see is charge port in the front, having an option package to add a screen to the back seat of the r2 like the r1s has. Possible few upper vents that shoot downwards to help keep dogs cool. Can't wait!
@@carlosnorris352 was just focusing on passenger excitement. But you are right the van, EDV/RCV is exciting as well. And who knows maybe there will even be a travel van offering someday!?
So few details announced. I wanna know if they will all have a heat pump. What’s the peak charge rate? How many minutes from 10-80% battery. Will it be on newer 800v architecture? Who is supplying the 4695 batteries. What battery chemistry are you using…etc.
The vehicle isn't coming out for another 2 - 3 years, a lot can change with battery technology in said time frame, thus there's no reason to clarify such now.
Hope there’s talk to join the Tesla charging network. As a first time EV owner, the current infrastructure just makes ownership of an EV only very difficult. Bought a secondary ICE.
Interesting the page is deleting any comment that isn’t tremendously pro this reveal. Entirely correct comment pointing out lack of functionality on the charge port door and other items was deleted. Super sad, Rivian social media person, you should feel bad :/
I know the R2 is gonna sell like crazy. It’s in a very high demand market and it’s priced really well too. Now that it’ll be compatible with Tesla’s Supercharger network that’s an even bigger selling point in my opinion. That’s the largest standardized charging network in the US and the unreliability of other networks is what kills EV adoption for a lot of people I think. I think the real game changer though is going to be the R3 and R3X. I’ll already know that’s what I’m going to buy whenever it gets closer to release.
Please please consider change charging port location to rear driver side. I dont want to be mean but please, no politic or brand war, just from users prospective
Also, Rivian seems like the perfect company to pioneer solar panel integration. I'd happily pay extra for an option to have a solar panel built into the glass roof to combat vampire drain/trickle charge during longer camping trips/etc
@@rogerstarkey5390 Going stalk-less and taking away USS was the breaking point for many people it seems. My 2021 m3sr+ has both of those, but since new Teslas dont come with either, i would be essentially paying the same, for less features.
Blah blah blah. It won't be priced at $45,000. It will be higher. Excuses will surface. Then, it will hit something on the road and the undercarriage will suffer damage to the battery or maybe it spontaneously sets ablaze and your house burns down along with it. Oh yeah. Just stay tuned fans.
Bravo Rivian! Well done!
That "one more thing" was 🔥
Glad to see them keep the design profile, love it❤
Rooting for you guys!
I’m really proud of you Steve-O, you’ve come a long way
Well done Rivian 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

R3x looks 🔥
We definitely want the R1S, R2, and the R3X! Can’t wait to see what colors, options, specs!
Congratulations RIVIAN! ♥️
You guys caught Tesla with their pants down. Tesla is in reactionary mode after yesterday's reveal(s). Congratulations RIVIAN.
How do you come to that conclusion? Honestly interested. Love Rivian
What ARE you talking about?
It's 2 years out, and in a different segment.

Eh I don't think so 💀

My strategy is to throw money at the stock in order to afford it lol. Worked for Tesla!
I am really excited too, as an investor, from Korea...
you guy genius...thank u...
I'm so excited too. I'm really really looking forward to looking at the cars directly!!!
This midsize lineup needs to come to Europe!!! Please!
Please bring RHD to the UK! Would buy an R2 in a heartbeat
R2 or R3?

It was a great showing, awesome reveals!
The design of the vehicle is so good 👍
Love the shape. A+ for design.
Its looks beautiful
When does the R3X release? Save me a reservation spot Rivian…
I would be chocked if they produce 1k of those before 2028
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful intro to R2 and R3 platforms. Awesome future ahead.
Hmm with prices that are reachable to the average person you may have something here..
Any potential of a small pickup on the R2 platform? Something reminiscent of the late 90s, early 2000s small trucks like the Tacoma?

Are there plans to refresh the R1 platform anytime soon?
Why? It just came out.
Rivian R2
Rivian R3
Rivian R3X
Rivian R1T
Rivian R1S
Rivian EDV

Why you skipped the van?

I heard RJ say something about 30 min for 80% charge
I like the shirt RJ is wearing. What’s the brand?
R2 better come in white and blue color way as an option!!
I like the shape of these cars. Reminiscent of older Saabs. (In the good way)

In terms of accessories, it would be amazing if Rivian manufactured its own fridge for the frunk or sub-trunk for the R2!

It will sell if they even can produce alteast 100k per year before 2030
Charge port is in the wrong location for Tesla Superchargers, otherwise this looks like a great design
Can you make a smaller one? R4 🙏🏽
Charge port / "Adventure Network"
(Respectfully)

1) Left rear (good acces to 50,000 chargers, not 5,000(500?)

2) Please don't copy somebody elses homework and call it "your own"

Rivian in Europe ? Asap
Just, thanks for the glove boxes. It might be a silly thing, but it was a negative point for me.
But where are the next generation batteries? Why does this vehicle Not have 450 miles of range?

31% decline in one month😂😂😂😂
