I understand what you're saying but Trent's music was more powerful to some generations. He made strides with Moog and synthesized music but in a more "angry" way than what that generation grew up with; which was highschool years of 80s pop. It was a different way to synthesize

So he reinvented it in a way that spawned instant debauchery. From that era, his plmusic created a pathway for the "Taboo" aspects of homesexuality, BDSM, to rise up from the shadows. I'll never forget the first time I played Dirty Hate Machine for a group of people. It turned the sweetest of blonde posh princesses into a black eyed beast craving to be bled. It was a fun time to be in Tampa as the scene started to grow. Almost overnight I evolved from a monster, to a demon to "The 16 year old giant that Gen nearly killed on stage that night in October." I feel old saying it, but it was the last great swine filthed era of the US. We sort of knew everything was ruined, so we said fuck it. Some OD'd... some got HIV, but the music lived on. And now, as I listen to this surprisingly good Mashup, it gives me hope. Hope that as our society falls further into collapse, that this generation is going to find a way to ride the filth once more. Well... I hope so at least. The youth needs it's now more than ever. It's been nearly 35 years since teens reached into the sludge.if there was ever a time they needed to do it again, it's now. So 💀 some nazo's and make it your own!
