It is very inspiring and motivating to hear Kristian breathing hard in this workout. When we watch elite athletes on TV cross the finish line, we only see smiles and we easily fall into the illusion that it is easy for those elite athletes. This sign of struggle is a reminder of what it takes to be a champion. Thank you, Kristian for being real ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I look forward to seeing you doing the full Ironman distance. I think it will actually suit your strengths. These Zwift races are fun but they say nothing about who the best triathlete is. Congrats with the channel and keep up the good work!
Looking forward to that long distance journey post short course racing too ! Will be great. Agree. It’s a lot of fun getting to race, but you gotta understand how and where to use your energy right in this game. Will try to learn and hopefully better next week
Kristian Blummenfelt Riders without much Zwift experience don’t understand the notion of wattage leakage in the context of the game. It is a bit complicated but, because you can’t break on Zwift, the game will leak some of your power output to avoid that you ride on top of other riders. So, if your power output is not enough to bring you quickly ahead of the few riders riding in front of you, the game will leak some of your power and keep you behind. Riders who understand well how this works often win races with a surprisingly low normalised power. You have to pedal just strong enough to stay behind the guy riding directly in front of you. If people rode in a group in real life the way they ride on Zwift they would have to break every few seconds and they would also experience power leakage.
I mean you gave absolutely all! very impressive to push that hard for that long! it is all a mental game and you are very strong. super inspiring to see you go hard like this. next time you'll get it! cheers Blu
Awesome Kristian, big fan of you and your hard work, can’t teach that. Look forward to seeing your success in Tokyo! Would love to see a day of your nutrition if that’s possible!? Cheers mate keep staying well during these weird times! #respect
Better luck next time! Question not related to video 😄. For triathlon sprint-olympic which would be the better choice between zoom fly 3 and pegasus turbo 2?
As other have mentioned, racing on Zwift is tricky, as the algorithm "leaks" your wattage when into the group. I think that in a real world situation, you wouldn't be dropped racing these folks.. By the way, your sub 14 min 5 k races are more impressive than any Zwift races I have seen.
Agree, it’s a special skill to race VR and it might favour other athletes... but it’s great challenge and a opportunity for me to “attack” the race from behind. Just try to improve my VR riding to see is I can get a top 10 finish 😅

Fully agree here!
If Kristian is breathing like this, I'd like to see what condition the other blokes are in. looks pretty hard
"It never gets easier; you just go faster"
According to Gustav he is always breathing harder than the rest
They can win in a game , but we will see who is gona win in a real race!

Thanks 👊🏻 will keep all good suggestions in back of my mind and probably use it throughout the summer !
Absolutely brutal!! great effort, just a little too much two on a day that day maybe.
This looks so much painful.
that hurts... well done
would love to hear some commentary!
I love your vidéo continu😍😁
OMG!!! I thought my phone was out of battery!!! hahahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Next% if the shoes should really make a difference ;)
cmaart yeah i know but that s a lot of $$$
Both really good shoes. But I think I would prefer zoom fly over Pegasus
8:03 pure drama! kind of tragic how you get dropped with every pedal stroke even with fullgas😅

That is my experience in real, steady climbs in Switzerland: The best bikers are pulling away... ;-(
Wondering about the low cadence...
tobi1919 me too! trainer difficulty setting? most zwift „pros“ just race with a 30 - 50% setting so the 10% virtual grade are not kicking in as hard
I know how u felt Mr. Blumenfelt
You dont like to sit in the saddle? Haha,6' stand up 😵
Hehe i can stand on the bike for hours 😅
@@kristian.blummenfelt hahahaha
@@kristian.blummenfelt are you alberto contador?
