Trey Lance reminds me of Colin Kaepernick with a stronger more accurate arm. I predicted 49ers would draft him and now predicting he'll be far better than Jimmy the Choker. But as a Rams fan, I hope he's not Hall of Fame good.

Jimmy was always a terrible decision maker, especially when it mattered most. He looked good cause of shanahan but lance’s style is much more suited to shanahans play calling. He’s barely played football but already has good pocket awareness and keeps his eyes downfield when he decides to leave the pocket, something even vet qbs struggle with. It’s clear you don’t know football

I got respect for Shanahan he’s a coaching genius, I guarantee you he isn’t THRILLED about lances upcoming struggles. 🤦🏻♂️Just TWO days ago he talked about how lance practiced TERRIBLY during scrimmage..yes, practice is HELLA important for him right now,more so than preseason games because he actually plays against similar competition he’ll be seeing during the regular season while also not getting mauled by defenders since he can’t be touched and it’s not the first time shanahan or and many others have noticed how when lance is bad, he’s, “I wish we had jimmy🙏”, BAD..He went 1 for freaking 9 in the last 3 drives during scrimmage and threw two picks whilst being “sacked” (touched) 5 times. THATS INSANE! 5 sacks in three drives..I’m telling you now, lance is going to have a really rough start (can’t wait for week 4, RAMS BABY!!), ESPECIALLY considering the fact that the 9ers PRO BOWL left guard from last season left via free agency and the NEW left guard, HIS BLIND SIDE BLOCKER (the most important lineman for a QB) is second year NOBODY Aaron Banks who has NEVER started at left guard in his career..AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, your PRO BOWL center (the second most important o lineman for a QB), Alex Mack, retired this past off season. And, you guessed it! the NOBODY to replace him, Jake Brendel, has ONLY 3 CAREER starts at center and well yeah he’s unproven and a NOBODY.
so let me get this straight, DIEGO.. your ONE SAVING GRACE in lance is that he has “great pocket Awareness and he keeps his eyes downfield when he gets out of pocket” oh and “he fits shanahan scheme so wonderfully” ..that’s it? That’s all your GENIUS LEVEL NFL IQ brain could come up with Diego??
Here’s a break down of the bleak situation facing trey lance and the 9ers from someone who “clearly doesn’t know football”
Lance, an essentially ROOKIE, qb has an INSANELY slow throwing motion, has terrible foot work, is INJURY prone (not just because of his playing style but also because HE INJURED HIS KNEE IN HIS FIRST CAREER START), has been at times AWEFUL at practice that his OWN HC had to say something about it, is extremely inexperienced (19 freaking starts his entire collegiate career)…ON TOP OF the issues lance has with his own game (things he can control) you can say the 9ers really effed him over by rushing his development n throwing him behind this oline especially since everyone and their momma knows lance has huge potential but is still a project..he’s no herbert or mahomes fam, get that out your head..ON TOP OF ALLL THAT the 9ers lose a PRO BOWL left guard because of free agency while ALSO losing your PRO BOWL center because he retired AND instead of trying to find at LEAST ONE good replacement for either position via free agency or trade, your team replaces TWO pro bowlers at two of the most important positions on the Oline with two NOBODIES who are green as hell..man that situation sounds TERRIBLE for lance..sucks to be him and it sure must suck to be a 9ers fan unless you’re delusional like Diego.
I feel bad for lance cause if he would have had another year behind jimmy he probably could have become another mahomes but instead you guys rushed it..what a waste of a talent.
You guys are lucky your first three games are a breeze until you see us in WEEK 4..I’m calling 4 sacks in that game and of course a W (I’ll come back to this post after the game on Oct 3 to tell you I told you so).
I also think the 9ers will be lucky if they break .500 at the end of lances first season as a starter...8-9, that will be your record come January 8, Diego. I’ll also make sure to revisit this post in February 12 2023 just so I can rub in the fact that my Rams repeated as Defending Super Bowl Champions. Stafford will win NFL mvp after this season 5000 yards 50 tds. Watch. and Allen Robinson will break Megatron’s single season receiving yards record…I can’t wait for all of these prophecies to fulfill themselves..With that said, see you in October Diego…
