NICE!!! Enjoy those new pumps. Grab yourself a few extra wetsides. Makes cleaning them a breeze. 2 seconds to swap them out. Tank is looking great as always!
Oh I am enjoying them for sure!
Yeah, I’ll definitely do that. Ease of maintenance is key or else I’m not gonna do it…that’s why I have a sump room lol
Love the ease of maintenance for these pumps. Tank looks great! 👌🏻
Yeah, I’ll definitely be picking up a couple of wet sides for that very reason :)
Flow is an art all in itself, well done 🙂
Indeed it is. You are always having to tweak and mess with it as stuff grows in.
Would love to see a video where your significant other reacts to your tank: favorite corals, fish, aesthetic, etc!
Good idea! I’ll see if she’s up for that hehe. She’s actually named every single fish in there…that’s her job when it comes to the tank.
STUNNING aquarium!
Glad you like it!
Your angels and anthias are absolutely beautiful!
Glad to hear it man!
Look at the difference in the torch wow.
Yeah man, just insane…so happy about this addition.
Can you do a video on how to put some of those beautiful colored fish and plant set up for a 40 breeder tank?
I really like how you set up your tank.
Planning to do a setup guide in the future:)
I love your tank! 🎉
Appreciate it man!
your tank so pretty and beautiful, 🐠💝🥀
Thank you very much! Glad you like it :)

@@viking_reefing My dream is to make a tank like yours,🐠🤝
@@anasedits5017 just keep at it buddy. One step at a time
@@viking_reefing I have already set up a freshwater fish tank,❤️🐟
Kindly share your feedback on Octo WAV 4+ pumps compared to the Ecotech Vortech. Thanks.
The mp40 are so much better and much more quiet. I’d say that the octos had more velocity even though liters/h are basically the same.
Hi,
Whats the powerhead on the back that rotates? Pretty sure you mentioned it but cant remember
They are from OceanMotion. I have a whole video about them :)
Nice update to “Valhalla”.😂 (Great name.)
Ecotech Marine, they really are awesome. Such a difference in flow. Maximum flow is 75%, is it?
Some dude suggested that as a name and I liked it haha.
I have some instances where it goes up to 85% as well :)
The sand is so white! If you don't mind what type of sand is it?
Thanks man. Check out my video on how to keep your sandbed white :) it’s Aquaforest bio sand
The pumps on the back of the tank what are they? And if you don’t mind me asking where did you get them? Cheers
They are OceanMotions. I have a full video about them and there are links in the description where to get them on that video :)
@@viking_reefing perfect cheers 👍
Power difference between the Octopulse 4? If you had 4 of Octopulse 4’s (despite the cables), would the Vortechs outperform given them being $100 more per unit?
I’d say they basically have the same power but the mp40’s has a better flow pattern, at least for my application.
The VorTechs are also a lot more versatile in therms of programming. So I
I’d say yes.
Show 👏👏👏🫶
Thanks buddy!
To me it looks like too many fish, way to little live rock and hiding spots and the substrate looks way too shallow. I used to do saltwater aquarium matainance. Most tanks have a 1 year die off point and to me this looks like it will have that die off... I haven't seen the inner workings but it looks like it's got half of what it needs and 2x the fish it needs. Hope it lasts for you though.
Well, coming from someone with over two decades in reefing I completely disagree with all the above points. Only tanks which are set up poorly will have some sort of a die of, a tank that is properly set up will actually start to thrive after the 1 year mark…which mine is doing.
A bunch of rock is a hinderance rather than a help as it constructs flow and makes detritus build up in the dead spots. A thick layer of sand is also an awful idea as it will develop anoxic zones etc.
What you are talking about is, in my view, a very outdated way to set up a tank. believe me, I’ve done it that way as well when we didn’t know better or had the equipment to do without a huge amount of rock etc.
Boom ! !
