I have a gyre 280 that I had on my 150 but changed over to no 40s only for aesthetic’s so my equipment would match but the gyre hands down push more water and has surface agitation imo might put it back on but the controller I’m not to save about great video CJ as always 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼 🫵🏼 the man!
What's up CJ??? So good to see you on here . I haven't had a reef tank in two years, I lost it due to a massive storm and power outage that lasted over a week. I was devastated....but I kept my tanks, and decided to go back to freshwater. I thought about going back to sw, but just don't have it in me 😢 to lose another.
Sorry to hear that! Glad you kept the tank going and eventually all roads lead back to salt I took a 3 year break and I’m thrilled to be back with this new build. Thanks for watching it’s been awhile hope all is well

Looking SO good. For that bacteria, make sure you avoid any aerosol sprays whatsoever.
Not sure if I missed it, but when did you add the box around the lights. Was it to block light spillage or for aesthetic or both. Thanks for letting us follow along on your journey.

Great video! Did I miss the settings on the MP40 for the standing wave?
350ms pulse mode at 50% power on my 3ft tank. The length of your tank will determine the frequency needed for the wave.
Hey CJ! I have identical tank size and was thinking of going AI Blade but I was curious your view on them since switching from Orphek? Is there another light you wish you would have gone with?
Blades are working great but ether choice will work great imo
How you liking the MXM? Any issues? I have the WXM, but wondering if I should switch so I can add my other MPs to it.

Considering it but right now just not making any major changes this month letting it run its course
Does the dry side on your mp40s get warm or hot running different flow patterns, mine on nutrient export get hot when they ramp up and down just curious, and when the switch to reef crest they cool down mine are strange cause to worry ?
Normal for any pumps to get hotter when on higher flow settings and cool down on lower ones.
CJ what’s up with hood over the tank ?
Floating foam board canopy I made. Light weight and perfect to block glare. I can cover it in another video really simple solution to do and CHEAP
Watched you for years and enjoy the content. I would be better viewing if you made the lights whiter when filming.
Definitely need a better gel filter I’ve yet to show true colors of this tank (whites or blues) on film so much better in person. Thanks for watching

How do you change water step by step I have a water change coming up same tank. How do you do it please 🙏 what do you shut down step by step with sump please 🙏
I do auto water changes on the tank now but I’ve covered manual changes in videos on the channel just go thru the build playlist find the maintenance video
