Reporter Tan needs a big promotion. He is professional, poise, articulate with cohesive thought and has a warm caring presence. Please like this comment if you agree, maybe the station will take notice of his talent and promote him. He definitely deserves it. Thanks.
I enjoyed his voice.
Was about to comment the same thing. Very pleasant to listen to.
I thought no one will talk about him and was also searching comment section whether anyone has.. His choice of words and depiction is so perfect and fluent
He looks baked
OhMyPolo A man of culture
I couldn't evacuate due to me being unemployed and not having money to do so. Luckily we are okay and I spent my last 100 on food
@J j may god bless you man you and your family. Hope you never have to go through this
God Bless you and your family Jose. I’m glad you all made it thru safely.
J j liked his own comment.
J j hhhaahaha!!!!!!
Mission accomplished I made you mad😄😂
I will be praying for you and your family. Stay safe down there💜
Tan has such a nice , soothing voice. Probably one of the best news anchor voice. Lol
Would u date him? Lol
Somebody wants some tan in their life huh?? Lol

Please get some rest Tan. You look exhausted.
That's a really nice way of saying "You look like hell." 😂😂😂
He is ASIAN...his eyes always look like that...JFC

He really does. I can only imagine how long he's been there plus stress will cause you to look tired quicker than actually being tired.
Yeah. First thing I thought was that man hasn't slept in 36+ hours.
Luckily allot of ppl survived and evacuated and luckily it wasn’t a category’ 5 and stronger winds
It was 150mph at landfall. That's 7mph from a cat5. I don't think anyone was like "oh wow yeah, this super isnt a cat 5, it feels much more like 150 than 157."
A lot, not "allot"
Hurricane maria 3 yrs ago was 185 or 190 mph when it landed in southeast puerto rico and that was 35 to 40 mph higher then laura. I think hurricane maria probably was 200 mph but they don't have a scale to measure that wind amount or they didnt wanna say it was higher winds then it was really.

He probably hasn’t :(
I wish we had such cogent and well-spoken on air personalities in my city.

Kudos to him also mentioning that "by the Grace of God" they had survived. That would never be allowed to be said here unfortunately.
I wish ALL news agencies had reporters as compassionate & professional as this gentleman.
Amazing indeed, but He seems to have been more relaxed than the lady at the studio was.
HIS ENGLISH IS UNIFORM .. HE TOOK HIS WORK ETHIC SERIOUS.. SO THAT HE CAN RELATE TO THE HEARERS , THE NEWS AS HE SEE IT 👌
Excellent reporting.
My compliments to reporter Tron.
No nonsense straight reporting with loads of important information.
A man who said much, with as few words as necessary.
We need more of this.
You can tell he doesn’t rush and he takes time to think about what he’s going to say. The spotlight effect doesn’t seem to affect him either.
And he didn't go find the deepest puddle and stand in it up to his waist to show how utterly brave he is and the danger he is putting himself in to bring the horrible news to the minion masses. I like this guy!
@@jppriest1
He really caught my attention when he said the truck in the background was going through a puddle.

Lake Charles is lucky, lucky, lucky lindee. The storm surge to the east of the eye went in from Cameron through Rockefeller and Lacassine refuges, probably the most unpopulated area of the state. Many cities in Louisiana are lucky for now.
@Renée De Ville and you randomly insult people yet you are not explaining your reason as to why you called him/her an idiot

Storm surge was way less than expected and Monday they were saying possible Category 4 @ 930+ mb. Everyone living on the gulf should understand by now that no matter what the computer models say, it's a gulf storm and very unpredictable. So annoying the amount of nay sayers that exist today, the internet has somehow made people more stupid even though all information is at your fingertips. 1:43..Those Mobile Homes on the sales lot..they are NOT tied down and look how well they did! The ends missing the siding that is normal when on a dealers lot as they come in two pieces and they do not normally put the siding on the ends until final delivery..FYI..Newer manufactured homes are not the cheap cardboard they once were!! Look around them at other buildings that were destroyed yet they are still standing!!
Reporter Tan did an amazing job reporting this segment. He should become a more prominent member of the news team. He was calm but also put emphasis on the situation.

It looks as if the damage isn't as severe as expected. Thank God for that! My thoughts and prayers to the good people of Louisiana. Exceptional coverage!!
What kind of bio-lab? I hope it is not a level 3 or 4 bio-lab.
Great coverage! Thanks!
I hope the people who are experiencing this hurricane are staying safe as possible
that rv was cooking meth lol
Heart goes out to all those involved and affected
Amazing how those Manufactured Homes were still intact after those high winds! Are you kidding me? It always depends on how the wind blows. I've seen some strange things after a tornado has destroyed a house and everything in it, but leaves paper money on a table where is was left, before the storm hit. Crazy!
That's almost unbelievable. I saw one old vid of pics that showed a vinyl record stuck in a tree trunk.
I live in Central Florida, 20 miles from the west coast and my single wide mobile home is a 1984 model. Its still here after many hurricanes. Funny thing is I lived near Homestead when Andrew hit and wooden built homes were almost flattened. And people laugh about mobile homes.
@@Lucky-tt2yq LOL, I'm not ashamed. I live where people pay thousands to come on vacation. Best part in the morning all I need is a pair of shorts and nothing else to go outside almost year around. But a lot of people think a house can survive a hurricane but a trailer cant. If it's big enough it will take down everything.
You don't see a lot of places where people evacuate their airboats.
Gotta take it with you if you want to come back to it. There's alot more damage than showed here. LC looks like a war zone. No water or power...and gonna be out for a long time.
Well done report by that gentleman. Told you what he saw and what he knows, no hyperbole
mostly peaceful hurricane
I wouldn't call 130- 140 mph winds peaceful lol, It was still a cat 4 when it was over lake charles for several hours
Could have been alot worse fo sho! Even the 3 black dudes at the 1:22 mark weren't out jogging. We all know what that leads to.
@Chris Tru, I wouldn't be shocked if it isn't upgraded once the season ends and the NHC does a postseason assessment on all the season's storms.
@@Bloodreign1 I think it will stay cat 4 it only got to sustained winds of 150, but I see people on here say not that bad smh. Hurricanes don't just level every building in it's path, but the damage is pretty significant and extensive. Surely millions in damage, if not more.
@@Bloodreign1 probs not. My town got slammed by Michael, which was initially a cat 4 then cat 5, and it had train cars flipped over on their sides

Lost my home to Hurricane Harvey in 2017 three years two days ago so these folks are in my prayers.
Why would someone leave their RV out there like that knowing, a Hurricane is on its way? Oh that's right INSURANCE time for an upgrade.
A lot of insurance companies consider hurricanes an "act of God" and therefore, a lot of these damages will not be covered-except by FEMA....
